Mash buttons.
After you have fully purpled 10 characters on Blueside, fully purple 10 characters on Redside...
And then take a break, play a different MMO for a while. Go on a road trip. Adopt a puppy.
Then after a while... Come back and do it again.

Play them. I would. Give those IOs to me if they're a conundrum for you.

Darn. I was going to ask for them. Curse my luck!

Hey, that's my mission!
It's changed quite a bit since that recording on the initial publish (now there are NINE different kinds of devils, instead of just the one), but it's cool to see something I made being appreciated.

The official word on this from the devs is, I believe............roll another toon. And when that one gets done, roll another. Do the same old content, over, and over, and over, and over..........well you get the idea.

The amusing thing about this kind of criticism is that the critic invariably points to WoW or Everquest or some such and says "See, they have an end game." It's amusing because the "end game" in those games involves running the same 2-3 high level dungeons over and over and over and over with the SAME character. The measure of status of a guild is "we have end-game dungeons X, Y, and Z on farm".
Apparently, running through the mid levels ten times is repetitive where killing Onyxia for the twenty-fifth time is not...

This question is probably from the point of view of finding fun through achieving something. If you have achieved everything for the character, that means you have to find fun differently. For example fun through gameplay, like pvp or missions/tf/ma that can challenge your character. Apart from equipping yourself, there are actually a lot of content in this game, you've to decide whether the contents are fun for you or not. Hopefully, you can find that this game is more than just making an uber toon. At least, I feel that the initial design of the game is not about uber, but maybe recent feature updates does transform the game.

Actually in WoW, its run the same dungeon over and over for a CHANCE out of 15, or 25 to get a piece of loot that you may or may not be able to slot.
Then again I think the point is all mmo's are a grind.
And the sky is blue.

to me, end-game should be pvp based around the heroes vs the villains. Some sort of area control added to it for purpose and some fancy titles and temp. abilities to those who win.

I respect your opinion, but disagree. If I wanted to PVP, I'd play a shooter (like Team Fortress 2, which I have been known to enjoy on occassion), where every class/weapon is balanced and it relies on the skill of the player, not how much time you're willing to grind for loot.
You go have all the fun you want in RV, though. I promise not to bug you there.

With enough people on each side; how could it not be balanced?
What's the point of having heroes and villains if they aren't going to fight it out over something important.
Seriously, what is batman without the joker? Superman without lex? The list goes on...

No one would read a comic book if the entire Justice League suddenly just jumped on Lex Luthor while he was walking down the street and beat him into a greasy smudge on the pavement before calling him a "nub" and telling him to "lrn 2 play".
I'm perfectly happy joining a team of 7 other heroes against Lord Recluse, The Honoree, or Romulus Augustus without the politics of PVP getting involved.
Again, I respect that you want PVP, but don't force me into it. I'm more interested in the game's storyline than flexing my e-peen against people with purpled-out builds like the OP.

I have no idea what you people are talking about. Being level 50 and full of purple (and now PvP) IOs isn't the end. It's barely the beginning.

lol, you must have had some bad experiences...
How about a different kind of pvp where the participates were all evenly matched with one another. Seriously though what else would there be to do at end game - repeat the same story arcs over and over? Wait for the next chapter so you can do a new story line? PvP allows for non-stop new action with very little Dev interaction. By the way, no one is forcing anything on you, you and your friends can still team up and run your little missions all you want, but if end-game isn't heavily centered around PvP what's the use in getting to level 50 anyway?

Purple out an opposite faction one of course.

The next step after that would be to dual box both characters in a co-op zone (if the second character is on another account, of course).
