Dual pistols & demon summoning.

The woman in the trailer ( Desdemonia ) is suppose to be a villainous demon summoner who went heroic, and the man ( Maelstrom ) a pistol using hero who went to villainy. It's believed that we are therefore getting dual pistols and demon summoning powersets. Especially since Castle has also mentioned them.

Demon Summoning will almost assuredly be a Mastermind primary (not that it matters much, since you'll be able to switch sides at some point). Dual Pistols will likely show up in a few different ATs, and will probably be more Malta Gunslinger than Equilibrium.

I half wonder if the Devs decided to name it that to see how many forum posters and people in game could misspell it.

Pistol scrappers? About 5 people asked for it, everyone else said it was a ridiculous idea.

Who said anything about scrapper? does the blaster set have melee in it's secondary sets? I have been on COH since 2004 and sorry but there was if i recall corectly whole posts about dual pistols and the different ways people thought it should be. how long have you been around? If it has been as long as my time here then you would know that only 5 people asking for something just does not happen. There was a high number of post just to get kilts and trench coats.

And on more serious matter, I am glad that they finally are going to release dual pistols. My personal guess is corruptors and blasters.
And yeah there were alot of stuff, debating and flat out arguing going on after Positron said that he would like to make akimbo pistols (think it was Warcry interview). Whenever they would or would not fit scrappers. Definitively more than 5.
But yeah, I'm pretty keen to see how they pulled it off. I mean there were many different types of suggestions for pistols and their powers due to the general concern of them becoming just another archery/assault rifle. But we shall see how the duel* pistols ended up in the hands of devs.
Personally I hope they will become something that stands out in powers, I mean they spent alot of time "on the paper".

I would prefer a single pistol to two personally. Dual pistols to me has always said 'over compensating mama's boy' while one just shows you know what you're doing.
As for Demon Summoning, it could be cool I suppose. Flares, Fire Blast, Fireball for MM attacks?

Eh, in a fantasy setting there's always "practical versus cool," in which case cool tends to win because nobody cares how practical or realistic it is to use one gun compared to two. This is also why Martial Arts has the flying monkey kick, powers like Total Focus let you slow-mo through the air, and why Dual Blades is so fast and flashy.
