Who Votes for i12 pvp back
I think most of us would, but it's not going to happen.

I think the only way it could ever be balanced is if we went way back to I2 PvP.

I didnt Pvp befor i13 so can someone tell me why it was so much better?
Faster, more fun, different AT's had different roles, and things actually made some sense.
PvE and i12 PvP (for the most part)
Blaster: Ranged and Melee damage
Scrapper: Melee damage with some range and a mitigation secondary
Tanker: Melee damage with minor range and massive mitigation/aggro management capabilities.
Controller: Hard/Soft controls with support buffs/debuffs.
Defender: Support buffs/debuffs with moderate ranged damage.
i13 PvP
Blaster: Ranged and Melee damage. Moderate mitigation due to universal resists.
Scrapper: Melee and Ranged damage. Moderate mitigation due to universal resists and DR.
Tanker: Melee and Ranged damage. Moderate mitigation due to universal resists and DR.
Controller: Ranged damage. Moderate mitigation due to universal resists. Support role antiquated due to suppression and DR.
Defender: Ranged damage. Moderate mitigation due to universal resists. Support role antiquated due to suppression and DR.

so what you saying you would come back and reanable your subscription?
i know they never would tho they arent smart enough to do such a thing what they could do is make new pvp zones designed for old hardcore vet pvpers with i12 pvp they could make a whole new issue with it that im sure would kick some serious [censored] and would really bring lots back that droped due to i13 pvp man if only i was a dev id make it a reality the new zones would kick butt too it would make rv look stupid
i would also change the way rewards are for pvp give you this thing called like pvp experience where once you gain enough you can use it to purchase pvp io's and have like scenerio pvp with epic huge team batttles i mean id make it so damn fun i got so many idea's that its crazy as im sure others do too but they are never heard or looked at or thought about sadly
thats just some of the ideas that breeze thru my mind and like anything the things that can be done in a mmo game are endless

"Better"? Well, yes and no. Certain ATs got a lot of heat because they significantly outperformed others. The vills rolled a metric buttload of mid/fire permadoms, fire/thermal corruptors, EM/ninjitsu stalks (running at the stealth cap), and EM/elec brutes. Heros gravitated toward ice/EM tanks, fire/EM blasters, ill/storm or ill/emp trollers, emp defs, and anything rad. Noticing this, the devs took everything that was unique and novel about these power sets and made them suck.
They nerfed the animation for energy transfer in the EM set; holds no longer really hold (unless you stack a bajillion of em - and even then it's only for .7 seconds); blaster damage now sucks; empathy now sucks; permadoms...can't; and */poison MMs are still rediculously overpowered.
Every few days someone begs for i12 back, they know this but refuse to acknowledge it, let alone make any changes. They are stubborn and don't seem to care what's best to make ppl happy, it's like they are going to resign and go work for CO or DCO and want to herd us all there.

they gave everyone resist bonus but yet buff for instance lazer beam eyes i got hit by a tanker and it did more damage then a blaster now if thats not stupidity i dont know what is its just horrible i had very few complaints about i12 pvp but i13 just pisses me off like no other i could have lived with i12 i13 aggrovates me so much i can be in the zone 10 minutes and just leave cause its no longer exciting and fun anymore too much supression even when you pop an insp you get all slowed down and everything it sucks
the thing that really bites me is why would they give Vills pain domination since everyone complained about emps being great in pvp then nerf pvp all to hell anyways its stupid lots where so excited about it till they found out your healing is now pretty much useless in pvp and you no longer need hold protection
Why play a dom or controller if you cant hold?
Why go there with a emp def or pain dom corr or mm if your healing eventuly does nothing and your buffs dont really help
why go there with a blaster if you cant do crap for damage compared to before?
why bother using any kind of stun when it stuns for .3 secs it makes every power useless.
and im hearing and seeing that power pools like flurry and jump kick and the flight pool attack power are better then the main Archetype powers now cmon someone is seriously retarted
and if you do attack a big group you have no chance in running away like you did in i12 because everything supresses you to death then all you can do is stand there and die i mean where do you in any way call this balance its not anymore balanced then it was in i12 so why did they even touch it honestly the change to me is the worst i have ever seen in a mmo and i have played pvp in loads of mmo's
Castle is probably looking into some way to mesh old and new PVP together. Taunt -range and a few of the other additions were VERY necessary, but DR and Travel Suppression need to go. The global resists are alright, as damage was scaled up to counter it.
Of course, there's still a few things broken (I'm looking at you, Electric Stalkers :P), but those should be fixed in time.
If it means chaining touh of fear again, then I might support it.
Nothing was more fun than perma fearing some fotm until they broke down and cried.

Actually no. He has publicly stated that the new PvP is much better than the old. He's not made any mention of going to back to the old PvP in any form whatsoever.

I like the idea of another zone with I12 pvp enabled.
Another level 50 zone.
Or, hell, just make 3 new zones.
It's not like we couldn't use an update.
Have a I12 zones and whatever this crap that passes for pvp now zones, and see which ones fill up.
I don't know about the pvp IO idea.
But I agree that the rewards need retooling.
I think rare recipe rewards would be cool.
Or red side Recluse could reward with Infamy.
Or how about zone control engineering?
Like being able to create a mobile hospital or pillbox where you'd like them.
I think the rewards should be scalable as well. Along team size, amount of players in the zone, diversity of ATs, etc.

I'll take I12 PvP with a side of Elusivity (not the current nerfed one but I13 Elusivity; but not for Widows--Scrappers, Brutes and Stalkers only--Widows are overpowered with all they've got and Elusivity too).

I vote for whatever makes my Tanker NOT get her resistances cut in half the moment I enter a PvP zone. As a "casual" PvP'er, I really get turned off at the idea of making my build super resistant to everything, to just have it all mean nothing. It's stupid!

i tried the new pvp the other day and got my butt handed to me. i like to solo so i have to be careful. hit and run type of strategy. now if a group sees me and gets a hit on me supression makes me dead. i cant get away. i dont know if there are ways around this or if i will just have to start teaming in pvp zones. i havent done much homework yet

thats the problem with the new pvp your toon doesnt feel powerfull at all cause all your enhancements are nerfed all your stats are brought way down you go from hero to zero and villian to a smillian in pvp zones
1 billion influence/infamy builds go from 1 billion to 10 million
and so on and so fourth so what is really the point of it there is none thats why i dont bother to pvp no more unless they change this crap at least in i12 you where able to escape more easily but it did require some skill
and i dont think the devs give a rats tail about it either sadly but its true
just post in here if you would like to see i12 pvp back into the game im curious to see how many people would cause i am one of them
