  1. This is my build currently playing and loving this build have it maxed for max sapping, damage and recharge has perma hasten perma dom and has perma dom without hasten Enjoy.

    Looking for any feedback as well not that i am changing this build no matter what anyone says but feel free to post your opinion.

    Elec or Spines?

    i have no problems on the ITF those guys miss me so much and even if they do get a shot in my def doesnt budge from 1 or 2 attacks that may land and by the time the next attack would hit me the other debuffs are faded off already i also have shadow meld and with my slotting adds another 31% to all defense for 15 seconds including PSI wich make's a huge difference for 15 seconds long enough for me to heal.

    the thing i like about energy is it has big energy,fire,cold,neg energy alot more typed attack def instead of just S/L or melee everything def is pretty weak to psi but it is indeed avoidable but PSI is also or should be typed as a ranged attack but at the same time is PSI so it is alot less dodged or deflected.

    the real wierd thing too i noticed was sometimes loads of psi attacks miss me and im like whoah wth is going on thats wierd like i cant be touched then there are other times where i get hammered on so idk why or whats the difference but its strange.

    anyway i just think EA is very good depending on your build and set bonuses you go for im always thinking of ways to squeeze that extra 1% def out of my build all tho its not much its something more that i didn't have before.

    Once i get my 3% extra bonus from glad Armour proc ill be golden

    Also i don't see many EA running around so i am trying to be different then shield ETC ETC
    trying to make EA a power set really worth more to look at i know i could prob make another def type toon that does mad aoe with better def etc etc but i don't want what everyone else has i want to make EA better then that basically i want to take powers that get crapped on and make them shiny

    Energy Aura is good i don't know why people say anything bad about it i love it on my stalker and when its soft capped its pretty insane i have a lvl 50 dark/ea stalker and its a very fun toon specially on big teams and the -tohit with dark melee really helps them miss more when tackling that boss all alone

    personally i think def wise ea is prob a bit better then shield and all the other def based Armour's.

    But that's just my opinion on it i am not saying that it (IS) better.
  4. I have a corrupter rad/pain sure it has better survivability cause i can heal myself
    but my electric, fire, rad, sonic/mm blasters are by far the best blasters and with a good tank everything has much better survivability that's what tanks are for.
    I would prefer my blasters over my corr any day simply because the damage output that i can do and drain psi is insane turns you into a re-gen blaster for 30 seconds long enough for me to destroy my enemies before they get the drop on me and my drain psi is up every mob.
    It's also a good de'buff against Av's, Gm's people that have seen my fire or electric/mm blaster know what i mean Pure Fun.

    By the way i think Mental Manipulation is the best blaster secondary.

Can a few players that zone PVP with their Pain dom corr, throw me some builds. Not just powers to pick up but sets and bonuses to go for, or just point me in the right direction.

    And I'm not all too sure about your opening suggestions either...they don't sound like they'd do much more than bring even MORE imbalance to the current pvp system. And "buffing" Kheldians?!?     Asked for constructive suggestions, not un-intelligent ones. Everything you just mentioned is wrong, except the hint that PBs are slightly better than WS because of the heal, however both need a boost. So research what you say like maybe perhaps actually look at the numbers, and read the original post once and awhile, you know the part asking for constructive suggestions.

    Warshades are like peacebringers without the heal, but at least they still do good damage.

    Stalkers are SO easy to avoid its ridiculous. The problem comes in when you want to attack that dominater/corrupter/whatever and the stalker AS's you.     PB are not blasters 5x in Zones. If they were than there would be tons of PB in the zone. Basically take what I said above to Darkmaster and repeat it here.

    Stalkers AS is not easy to avoid. Clearly you don't play on Freedom, where most of the time if there is 30-40 people in the zone 15+ are stalkers. Considering also you can get it off on the move IF you know how to play yours, maybe that is the issue.

    Actually for your information, I have 31 50's and alot of villains. I make it a personal goal to log on whatever side is down or getting base camped for awhile. So either you don't play on Freedom or learn before YOU speak. Rinse and Repeat what I said about stalkers above......

    Brutes have better than tank suvivability in most cases, however scrapper damage. It is supposed to be a mixture of both but NOT Excelling at both. It is not supposed to be on par with both or even very close.. That is the problem. Research, gain experience and knowledge, then comment on such constructively.

  11. Doesnt seem to be that way, do you play on Freedom? Because every stalker there even the one not fully Ioed out, seem to have no problem killing just about anything but a well build tank or regen scrapper with just an AS and shark crit

    As for the AS immunity it makes perfect sense. At the moment there are way too many stalkers, pretty much have been since they were released. No offense but come to find most just playing for an easy button and the hide. I fear when going rogue comes out it will just be stalkers invading zones on both sides, PVP will become even more stupidly broken, not to mention boring. With an AS immunity (slight nerf) coupled with removal of interrupt (slight buff) it will insure that stalkers aren't the only AT on the field or atleast that they don't make up 50% or more of the zone pop, which on freedom its pretty high for RV atleast.

    I would even go as far as suggesting that Brutes had their survivability toned down a bit, with the way it is, they have Tank surviability and better with some builds, and the damage of a scrapp. Not to mention bring other power pools on par with SS for tanks and brutes.

  13. Now these are just my opinions I have formulated through alot of experience. I was however never insane on calculations or great at fumbling numbers in my memory, so give some lee-way. I want some good feedback with constructive response, even though most of the time suggested changes never happen, only complaint zergs do.


    Note: These are to help balance PVP and I did not spend alot of time fiddling of effectiveness on PVE.

    Step by Step




    First off the Kheldians... Yes OOOO AAAA The gimp so called EPIC ATs

    I personally have a 50 of both WS and PB Ioed out for PVP and they are close to decent but the AT needs alot of work.

    My suggested change for Kheldians in general do remove them from the back of the bus is:
    Make Secondary toggles (+resist/def/cc and phase) Available in all forms.

    Dwarf- Grant super jump (at 80% speed and height of normal SJ)
    Nova- Increase Nova Blast damage by 15%
    Remove end drain from dawn strike, and make Essence drain a targeted AOE instead of melee, and have range at 20.


    Secondly, The VEATs, (Spider+Widow)

    Increase AT (Racial) recov by 5%
    Add in: Special ( all attacks have a chance drain targets life) thinking around 30 damage, 5% heal effected by set bonuses if any, at a 25% chance. Can crit with Widow/Bane Hide



    Third: Stalkers (yes the beaten dead horse topic of the OP AT)
    Remove interrupt on AS. However when a player is struck by AS he is granted an immunity to any AS for 10 seconds.




    Fourth: General changes that will also balance the rest

    Remove regen loss from Travel suppression.
    greatly lessen all suppressions from flight (yes the red headed step child travel power its slowest and detoggles the easiest and costs the most end)
    We all hate the elusitivity nerf, I say increase it by 5% to a total 15%


    On Villain Anc/Epic pool, Leviathan the fotm choice.
    Reduce damage of Spirit Shark by 50%, reduce end cost by 1, and Cast time by 1 second, increase range to 100


    and lastly. To stop the LOLmelee for every AT except stalker, and everyone playing range.
    Addition/Change- Have chance of toggle drop for SS and SJ increased greatly to be on par with flight when hit with melee attack (that has chance of)


    WP, Reduce toggle drop for Rise to the challenge, it is broken completely.

    i know im just saying IF you where i am and thats my combo just saying the sleep power is worth it basicly gives you a good opener and great time to go in to use your AOE hold since its best to be like close to mob when you use it for max affectivness.

    It is possible to pull off without taking a drop of damage its all about Range in the power
  15. actually the sleep power is really good not to mention 5 slotted its a Cheaper Purp Set

    you have to have range io slotted in it for it to be really affective i have one range io in it and mobs rarley get a attack off only if i miss one of them but ideal is max range on the AOE Sleep

    A good combo is Sleep shiver go stand in middle AOE hold then frostbite if you'r psi i then use drain psy psi shockwave aoe immob and spamm all other powers its affective if done properly

    However, you'll find a lot less people willing to agree that a dominator/trollers primary should be practically useless through the majority of the encounter. And at the point our primary *does* work a simple corruptor could have mezzed the AV

    i agree with you on that there but with a good team it shouldnt really matter much if the av is held as they have like crap immob protection wich is usefull for dom/troller to be around as well as give the dom/controller more chance with there secondary wich has uses like any other secondary it always has some sort of use.

    But even for instance my hold doesnt hold right away it still does damage if earths hold doesnt hold it does damage and -def if my ice dom or troller hold doesnt hold it still does -rech and damage so it doesnt make doms/trollers completey useless during the fight my Mind dom really shines in rsf tho hehe

  17. Sorry if its a little sloppy but i typed this fast

    nothing needs to be changed with POTD or av's i think they are fine as they are.
    they are made for teamwork not to solo plain and simple.

    And castles changes to doms so far from my 2 doms i played on test is Excellent probably the best thing that man has done that i actually LIKE my mind/fire is grand i love it.
    taking the damage buff out of domination to be honest on test i dont look back at it domination is still awsome and its still great to be perma dom.

    My ice/psi well lets see its more usefull now the attacks are actually worth using i changed my build and took psi scream does the damage it should now and mental blast does as much damage as subdual now wich makes it actually worth having and the change to PSW doesnt affect me at all the change isnt near as bad as i thought it might be im use to my blaster version so it didnt affect me at all it still has good damage just have to learn to use that in conjuction with psi scream and you still have tons of nice aoe damage all my toons are team based solo is to me boring.

    doms as they are on test are great and i hope castle decides to keep them this way as they make me love my doms more then ever before no other changes and buffs are needed i am one happy camper

    and to the people about all this stupid talk about adding something else to domination are just plain being stupid imo
    HP buffs and all that is just plain retarted if you play your dom like it really should be played and are on a good team you shouldnt even rarley be taking damage thats what BRUTES and TANKS are for let people play there roles let Brutes be the meat corrs do there debuffing doms do the holds and so on and so fourth.

    I follow the brute or tank let them get some aggro and then i go nuts thats why we have them its there role i have teamed with really good ones and i take like zero damage thats also why people have healers cause some people like to heal im sure some here understand where im coming from here im not saying any of this to be a smart or rude but its pretty simple logic.

    AV'S are for teams they where never designed or thought of as being soloable

    to many people are more concerned about how there toon can solo but the smart ones bring friends/teammates

    this game has tons of soloablility compared too *COUGH* WoW you cannot solo any high lvl dungeon or instance in that game those (elites) rip thru you like warm butter you need a good group of people most mmo's are all about teaming wich is what to me makes the game so much more fun each class has its use and role and i think alot of people forget about that who play coh/cov i always have had more fun times with groups then solo.

    and a 50 mind/fire dom i also love that toon and have no issues with either besides the fact i love playing them both

  22. i have said it a million times make new zones for i12 pvp then people can have what they want dont like i12 go i13 zone dont like i13 go i12 that would definatly clear up a big mess real fast and for the love of god please make new pvp zones and better rewards

    1 of the first questions you see in any new mmo being introduced is.
    Will it have pvp?

    all they give us in this game is Recipe's pvp io's lol big deal whats the point in the bonuses when you get 1% of the actuall bonus anyways

    and reputation points and badges big deal its been like that since pvp was first released

    if they actually did something really good in pvp in this game i would be 100% certain that the playerbase would grow insanly fast

    they need a group of devs who focus on nothing but pvp
    while another group deals with all the pve stuff

    *COUGH* (Blizzard Entertainment) thats why wow is so huge cause they are always on top of everything.
    its the devs that make a difference if you just give the people what they want they will love you for it i can see if its way out of line but damn listen to the players good idea's on these boards and think about it

  23. thats the problem with the new pvp your toon doesnt feel powerfull at all cause all your enhancements are nerfed all your stats are brought way down you go from hero to zero and villian to a smillian in pvp zones

    1 billion influence/infamy builds go from 1 billion to 10 million
    and so on and so fourth so what is really the point of it there is none thats why i dont bother to pvp no more unless they change this crap at least in i12 you where able to escape more easily but it did require some skill

  25. they gave everyone resist bonus but yet buff for instance lazer beam eyes i got hit by a tanker and it did more damage then a blaster now if thats not stupidity i dont know what is its just horrible i had very few complaints about i12 pvp but i13 just pisses me off like no other i could have lived with i12 i13 aggrovates me so much i can be in the zone 10 minutes and just leave cause its no longer exciting and fun anymore too much supression even when you pop an insp you get all slowed down and everything it sucks

    the thing that really bites me is why would they give Vills pain domination since everyone complained about emps being great in pvp then nerf pvp all to hell anyways its stupid lots where so excited about it till they found out your healing is now pretty much useless in pvp and you no longer need hold protection

    Why play a dom or controller if you cant hold?

    Why go there with a emp def or pain dom corr or mm if your healing eventuly does nothing and your buffs dont really help
    why go there with a blaster if you cant do crap for damage compared to before?

    why bother using any kind of stun when it stuns for .3 secs it makes every power useless.

    and im hearing and seeing that power pools like flurry and jump kick and the flight pool attack power are better then the main Archetype powers now cmon someone is seriously retarted

    and if you do attack a big group you have no chance in running away like you did in i12 because everything supresses you to death then all you can do is stand there and die i mean where do you in any way call this balance its not anymore balanced then it was in i12 so why did they even touch it honestly the change to me is the worst i have ever seen in a mmo and i have played pvp in loads of mmo's
