Possible Art Forum Game - Any Takers?

So I was at my local comic book shop and stumbled across a few trades called "Just Imagine", where Stan Lee basically wrote one-shots of DC's most prominent heroes and gave his take on those icons. It was actually pretty meh, but I thought it'd be kinda fun if we got together, drew names from the hat, exchanged costume files and "re-imagine" each other's toons. Maybe give a week to generate interest and gather interested folks and go from there?

Do you mean just using the costume creator? If so, I'm in.

I remember the Just Imagine series as the What If Stan Lee created the DC characters.

But instead of going deep into the background of the character would we just re-imagine each others characters based just on their costume?

Right, just the costume creator. Though I suppose a one-paragraph background wouldn't be too bad or invasive.

Sure

hey with it, I'm in. I'm not always creative when coming up with costumes, but I'd be curiosu to see how any of my ideas are re imagined.

Since it's using the CC and not artwork I'm willing to give it a go. I can't draw a straight line with a ruler or a pencil.

Awesome. I think loading them into MA will allow us to fully utilize the character creator. Creating a level 1 character would mean no capes/auras etc. Character Backgrounds of course are helpful and would provide everyone with some framework.

I'm going to say the deadline to enter is by next Wednesday, May 13th. And the deadline to finish the new costume will be...the 22nd. A week and a half should be enough time to tinker with the character creator. Does that sound fair?

Sounds good to me. I think you're right, the MA editor will allow us much more freedom. We can use things we may not have unlocked on a particular character.

Sounds like fun to be had, and I don't start my new job for a couple of weeks yet. Count me in.

I'm in, I just need some clarification real quick: To submit a character do we post a pic or a short little bio?

I get that we're each gonna pick a name randomly, I'm just unclear what information will be provided is all.

This sounds like it'll be fun.

Sounds like fun but maybe we should have a random drawing to see which one we do first then everyone do that one first and then so on...

Yes, I'd love to see other people's takes on my characters.

Sorry for the not-so-clear announcement. I was writing at 2am and working on the idea on the fly. Anyone who's interested, just post to this thread by Wednesday, let's say 8pm. At that time, I'll toss everyone's names into a hat and draw two names. Those two folks will exchange character information (costume file/pic and a brief background that should be no longer than the space utilized on the character description screen in-game). Those two people will then "re-design" each other's characters, with a 10 day deadline, then we'll open up another thread to post the results. When it's all said and done, we can do another round if there's still enough interest.

eh no worries. Anything I process has gotta go through my skull plating first. SO yeah, I'm in.

EDIT: I was just thinking wouldn't it work better if we only exchange descriptions and stories? Not pics or Costumes? I mean if we trade pics or anything visual, that already gives us an idea.

I will do this and woe be it to whomever gets my crazy [censored].
