No new Devs Choices?
I don't think they have mentioned a set schedule, and I would bet they are knee deep in bug fixes at the moment.
If they would fix it so that Hall of Fame arcs actually stay in the HoF for more than a few minutes we might start seeing some of those
I am actually finding it a little odd that no new Dev's choices have been awarded, I can't imagine that they are too busy to do it as I would assume (always dangerous!) that most of the arcs being played by devs will happen on their free time as opposed to devs sitting in work playing arcs rather than doing 'real' work.
Now I could be wrong but I very much doubt they are gonna suddenly have time to play our arcs as well as doing their proper jobs as well.
The fact that the Hall of Fame does not work properly may mean they want to fix this first just so that there are both available but I still think it seems a little weird. After all the longer they leave it to start looking/awarding the more content there is to sift through.
Dev's Choice is currently a pretty debated topic among the dev team, so I surmise they'd rather leave their fingers off it completely until they've come to an agreement they can all work with.

Ahh.. that makes more sense I guess. Was not aware of any issues with it, care to expand as to what the problem is?
You should also keep in mind that the 5th anniversary is a week away. Whatever they've got in store for us, they're probably busy with that.

The problems should be pretty obvious - just look at any of the Dev Choice related threads on the forums. Should DC be used to encourage good writers to create more arcs (more than one DC/person)? Should DC be used exclusively to elevate interesting but rarely touched missions? Should there be a standard, or each Dev decide their own criteria? Should short missions ever get Dev Choice, given there's an arc reward at the end?
If I had to guess, I'd say they're probably talking over the very same things we were, only, of course, they have the ability to actually come to a decision eventually.
@Mindshadow
I am playing at least one arc a day, and I know other devs are also finding the time.
Generally the arcs miss being Dev Choiced by things like "Oh, did I forget to mention there is an AV on this map?"
In CoH/V we are pretty clear when there is an AV that you should bring some friends along to help you.

If I cared, I would make a spreadsheet of date vs # of DC arcs. I suspect that, despite all the good intentions, the rate at which missions receive DC will drop over time.

Yay!
Down with the gratuitous surprise AV objectives!

Are you sending feedback in that regard to the author? If they fix that is there a process for being reconsidered? Or does the author just have to hope another dev wanders in
Just curious about the process.
1 arc a day...you should be done in about 200+ years
Quick question, do the Devs revisit arcs at all? I know I am not the only one who goes through countless revisions of my story as feedback comes in. Would hate to think it got dismissed when I accidentally had an AV with Unstoppable at the end.
Ok...it was not an accident. I just did not realize how powerful the end boss became when scaled up to AV level.

It's be nice if the arc information included the date it was last republished rather than just the initial publish date.
I wonder if a warning in the arc description counts as good enough, rather than on a per mission basis.

Do you guys ever suggest they clean up spelling and usage errors? I played my first Dev's Choice today and it had multiple errors. I was shocked that it was Dev's Choice. The big villain was a minion. The NPC's, including the contact when he showed, were minions and mostly didn't have bios. I got sick of fighting -1 lvl mobs while running on Vicious.
The only good part was the actual story idea and the two purples. That Armageddon Fire proc was verrrrry nice.
Re: Feedback - Yes I send it, usually to tell the author that there was no warning about the AV/EB in one of the missions.
Re: 200+ years - I don't play every arc. Many arcs don't have a good description in the search window, which is my second criteria to see if I want to play it. First criteria being the title of course.
Re: Do devs revisit - If I give feedback and then the player sends me a message saying they made changes, I will look at the mission again to see if it's now DC worthy.
Star ratings don't mean as much to me. Today I searched "3 star, Villainous missions" for one that looked interesting. Tomorrow I will probably search under different parameters. I am looking for a catchy title and an interesting description to get me to click the Play button, as I think most of us are.
A lot of arcs look interesting but the authors have a note that says "still testing", "looking for feedback", "not quite finished", etc. I won't look at those because if I Dev Choice it, they can't edit it further and that would just infuriate them. We're looking at solving that problem, and that will open up a lot more arcs for me to consider.

Probably the only reason I would play it again.
2 purples in 4 missions is pretty amazing. Sure it was a fluke, but worth a try again.
Thanks, Posi. That answered the questions I had and more.

Any plan to increase the size of the description? Even 500 characters instead of 300 would make a huge difference. Or maybe some additional settings to describe difficulty? I'm having a hard time writing an interesting description of the story of the mission, while also providing information about what they can expect from the gameplay/difficulty.
I suppose I could stop trying so hard to use complete sentences.

Dec out.
It's nice to know that the devs are actually looking into arcs that aren't just currently at 5 stars. A few of the arcs that I've played and liked, with a great story, well written, and were fun to play, sometimes end up getting 1 starred by people with no comments or feedback at all, dropping their rating.
I'm sure the devs will be posting some new Dev's Choice soon. I for one will be looking forward to seeing them as well.

How come we have not seen any new devs choices getting picked yet?
Any thing ever been said as to how they will get released? I kinda assumed with the target of 1% dev choice (I think thats right) that we would be getting a steady stream of missions pinged for us to try out.
With the search facility annoying alot of people some new Dev's choices would also help bring more good missions to the fore. Anyone got any info?
