First! =P

OK, I'm online so disreguard the "I still can't get on..." post that used to be here. So why is Freedom down?

Why is Freedom still down, and how long are we looking at?

If you want to post your arcs and you're on Freedom, you can publish them from any character on any server.

That's not what we asked, I'm pretty sure.

Freedom has more hardware to support the larger populations... updating this hardware is taking more time than our other servers.

We have made the decision not to hold launch for the other 10 North American servers and 4 European servers just for Freedom. We are working diligently on Freedom, at this time I have no estimated availability. I'll update you all as we know more.

So will you be crediting our accounts for the extra loss of game time?

Why is it that every time a release happens, it's the most popular shard in the farm that gets wacked? This is not the first time and I would think that your engineers would learn from the history of roll out issues.

Don't you guys keep an internal knowledge base?

Bwahahahahaa!

Seriously, assuming you missed the EULA, what's that going to amount to?

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

Now this makes sense. Why don't you guys put out this kind of direct information more often?

As you may or may not know, this issue is MAJOR in comparison with other past issues. The amount of work that has already gone into it, as far as I can tell, is probably equivalent to something like I6 and the new gameplay mechanics City of Villain introduced.

If the fact that we're getting all of this for free, and people can still play on servers other than Freedom means nothing to you, so much so that you feel cheated out of a few hours of play... well, all I can say is try and check out the situation with other MMO's and other expansions that people are getting!

I believe that a Kheldian Gold Standard should be based on SO's, and for anything above that... there's Platinum!

Ummm no, they won't. It's not like you can't play the game, you just can't play it on the server you want to. But I share your frustration, they should of opened up all of the servers at the same time.

That kind of information is actually quite obvious to anyone who has played MMO's for several years... more populated Servers are almost always going to be the ones with the biggest issues when rolling out new expansions.

Let's see. $14.99/month = $14.99/30 days (about) = $.50/day = $.50/24 hours = $.02/hour

Yep they should credit all our accounts for what, about 8 cents?

I don't care if it's obvious or not. I have worked in IT for 15 years. If I treated my client base in this fashion (leaving them in the dark) I would not have a job for very long. The scheduled down time was from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM CST. They communicated nothing until 30-45 minuites ago. Just letting us know directly what's going on so that we as players can level set our expections, I would think should be assumed and provided in a timely manner.

The scheduled downtime is an estimate as it always has been, therefore there is no need to notify you as you've already been notified. You have no argument here.

Wasn't whining. Was asking for a brief explanation is all. I do appreciate all that the Devs, techs, GMs, and all other connected support staff do for the game.Ex Lib gave me the info I needed, so Hi ho it's off to waiting land I go. Keep up the good work gang!

This reminded me of all the times, while working for Spring PCS collections, I got to tell people that just because you have a Sprint phone, it does not guarantee that you will always have service. I know it was a jerkish thing to tell people, but it was right there in the service contract. Same situation.

If you really feel you are missing out on game time, just try another server. There are plenty of options.

That doesn't even make any sense. The argument he made was that we were "left in the dark" but this is not at all what happened. It is always plainly stated that downtime schedules are an estimate and can go longer than expected for an indeterminate amount of time. Just because a redname kindly provided an update to the situation doesn't suddenly make the argument true.
