Virtue Mission Architect Advertisment
I was thinking about starting one of these threads myself. Hopefully we can get it stickied.
I've only got one mission now, and it's more Art Forum friendly, but a number of folks on here may appreciate it as well:
Art Attack
by @Turkey Lurkey
Arc ID: 15379
Length: Short
Morality: Heroic
Description: Some of Paragon's most notable artists have been kidnapped! It's up to you to save them!
I recently tweeked it a bit, so it's a bit different than first published. My first mission, so any feedback is welcome, either here or in PM's.

Black Sunrise
by @Lord NightBlade
Arc ID: 16110
Length: Very long (although 3 of the missions can be finished pretty quickly)
Morality: Heroic
Description: Help the Knights of Malta solidify their independence from Malta by thwarting a nuclear blackmail scheme!
Please let me know if the story is confusing or if it seems heavy handed or if anything is too difficult. I haven't gotten any feedback on it so I don't know what works and what doesn't.
Goodbye, I guess.

Heres why: i dislike malta although you used them in a fun way ( i like your shield malta bosses)
I dont know why but i think crey is more interested in nukes than malta...dont ask why
first three missions i could stealth tru too easy maybe have anti stealth put in
i never liked timed missions but good job on map
fourth mission with black sun
LIked: photon commanders. shield boss, map
Disliked: i felt that contact told me attack black sun and i assumed one boss then found multiple..never like stories like that
Overall it was very fun and i would do it again
as Ood Sigma said....We will sing to you, Doctor. The universe will sing you to your sleep. This song is ending. But the story never ends.
Arc: If At First You Don't Succeed
ID: 2894
Length: Long/Very Long (5 missions, but several missions are pretty quick)
Description: A routine arrest of an Arachnos thief uncovers a plot to cripple Paragon City!
Right now, I'm most worried that the boss of the second mission is too powerful. Otherwise, I'm hoping it's an enjoyable arc.
We'll always have Paragon.

That's something I expect. Unfortunately this is based off of game canon and Malta is unavoidable in relation to the knights of Malta (see here for the explanation). This arc is actualy part 2 of 3, but I did it first because I could make Malta less involved in the missions.

Sounds like personal preference, but consider that Malta has a major presence in Warburg. Still, I've never been confidant that Malta would resort to something as unsophisticated as nuclear blackmail. I'll have to see if I can think of something else.

Hmm...I've been thinking of adding a couple more glowies to the first mission. I'll have to play around with the maps for it, too. For some reason the objective keeps spawning on the first floor on the one I have selected.
I could make the second mission a defeat all. I think the map is small enough that it wouldn't be annoying.
The third is a defeat all, but I don't know that it can be stealthed. Maybe if I downgrade the Gunslinger ally from a boss to lieutenant it'll make things a touch harder. Maybe a larger map would be good, too, but it is a Malta mission...

Nothing adds a sense of urgency like a 30 minute timer! Was defending the truck too hard or too easy? Also, if someone could fail it and tell me what they think of the mission failed text, I'd appreciate it.

I'll tweak the mission briefing to include the two bosses. Apart from that, was there anything you didn't like?

i put in the id and it said too short at first. just tried again and it found it playing it now
RATING: 4.5
Heres why:
first mish stealth tru had no real incentive to stop and help PPD they werebnt going to help me
id rather have them as allys from begining than find them as i travel
Second mish: i loved the idea of the ZIG..nice choosing of the map however..i stealthed and look tru for the objective it took me awhile to figure out you wanted me to kill raid leader nails and i skipped other bosses
Third Mission- that boss was hard solo on hero i would add allys
Fourth mission- usually i like arcs that defeatall is in first mission not on fourth the problem is by fourth mish im not paying attention like i use to and i miss people and have to keep scouting
Fifth mission- great ambush =)
very enjoyable arc.good writing
had a Gotham PD feel to it

i thought that was just right one problem was the main boss was like far from objective i had more trouble finding boss than truck
[ QUOTE ]
was there anything you didn't like?

No i thought the map was perfect for it and i really liked the photon commanders

after i read crimson i understood yea have to use malta
ONE MAJOR QUESTION
how did u do it so there were no sappers in any of the missions?
I was amazed

Arc Name: Heaven's Not Enough
Arc ID: 16590
Faction: Circle of Thorns, Banished Pantheon, Custom
Creator Global/Forum Name: @Shwarze Sonne (on test)/Rikis
Difficulty Level: Challenging, but soloable.
Synopsis: On a routine mission against the Circle, a hero friend of Miriam Bloelch runs into a spot of trouble that leads to much more.
Estimated Time to Play: 1 Hour (5 Missions)
I'd like to know how I can improve my story telling (it's an origin story for a character of mine, but never got off the ground) as well as the difficulty of the custom group. It is meant to be soloable, but there is an EB(AV) at the very end with an optional ally.

The separation between the boss and the truck is random, I'm afraid. Not really anything I can do to change it since the "front/middle/back" placement doesn't work for outdoor maps.
As to the lack of sappers, while I'd love to take credit for that (and be forever known and loved as the man who banished Sappers, heh), it's just random. When I played through a test run of the arc I encountered a sapper guarding the infiltrator in that mission, but no other sappers. I think if I used a bigger map there would be more chance of them spawning.
Goodbye, I guess.

Competitive Interests
by @Karen Stelvind (will change in live)
ArcID: 12464 (subject to change during live)
Length: Moderate (4 missions)
Morality: Villainous
Description: Someone's paying some big money to investigate a small research firm in the Rogue Isles, with some big secrets...
I think I've gotten a lot of the major issues with it worked out - if the third mission auto-completes, I may have to completely redo it. :/ Should be in the realm of 'challenging' solo at the moment. And I'm going to make the dialogue a lot better - it feels rushed to me right now, and that's going to irritate me until I fix it.
Arc Name: The Hidden Lament
Arc ID: 16381
Faction: Circle of Thorns, Custom
Creator Global/Forum Name: @Grimrose
Difficulty Level: Challenging, but soloable.
Synopsis: The Hidden Knights have driven back a dimensional threat, but after losing one of their own, they vanish. Now, only War Witch and a Portal Corp. investigator ever remember they existed.
Estimated Time to Play: One Hour (Three Missions)
This Arc is, by no means, finished being fleshed out, but it is the first part of an Epic I'm working on. Please be gentle with your feedback, I am writing a story to pay tribute to the creator of Grimrose (my best friend), who we lost to Leukemia a few years ago.
Tweaked and re-published Black Sunrise. More feedback from people would be appreciated.
Goodbye, I guess.

I only have one published at the moment.
Have you ever had one of those dreams?
by @Sentia (my Test global)
Arc ID: 15609
Lenght: Short
Morality: Neutral
Critters: Unique
There's really no story to it, but it's very surreal with stuff taken from the forums and poking a bit of fun at one of our Devs. Should be soloable, but one of the Bosses is meant to be a bit of a challenge. I had decent feedback from those that play tested it with me, but the only thing that was commented on was the Nav bar, which has to be the way it is or the mission will loose it's feeling/ immersion.
ARC: 6529
Name: Nanny Filter
wherein a forumite charges you with removing an obstacle of his free expression, and you discover it's not that simple.
Arc: 18028
Name: Soul Train Origins
yeah, OK, so I got self-indulgent. Rampant Mary-Sue Syndrome, the whole nine yards. Still... I think it's actually a good little story.
"City of Heroes. April 27, 2004 - August 31, 2012. Obliterated not with a weapon of mass destruction, not by an all-powerful supervillain... but by a cold-hearted and cowardly corporate suck-up."
I just (successfully) published my first arc:
Arc Name: Saul Rubenstien's Discount Task Force
Arc ID: 17935
Creator: @Ascendant
Alignment: Heroic
Difficulty Level: Easy to moderate.
Synopsis: Friends, do you want action, adventure, danger, and maybe a little romance, but don't want to pay for "Name Brand" Task Forces run by pricey heroes like Positron or Statesman? Then, come visit me, Saul Rubenstien, and I'll put you and any of your friends in a brand new Task Force for only $19.99!
Number of Missions: 4
Length: You can probably do it in under an hour, especially if you have a team.
Ascendant
Now, more than ever, Paragon City needs heroes. Do your part to save it.
My arc IDs are as follows:
Training Room 02:
The Bride of Vahzilok
Arc ID: 15112, 3 mission arc.
Enemies: Vahzilok
Not intended to be a complete cakewalk, but not intended to be insurmountable either.
When Doctor Vahzilok decides he wants to tie the knot, you just KNOW that trouble can't be far behind!
Hillbilly Cannibal Mayhem!
Arc 13812
Single Mission
Enemy: Custom
Cannibal Hillbillies and a young heroine who is on the menu, need I say more?
*Cue Deliverance Music*
I liked Hillbilly Cannibal Mayhem. and Nanny filter.
Both were fun as heck.
S.thug ((level 50 Invul/ss tank Pinnacle))
Wild Childs ((Level 50 Nin/SR Stalker. Virtue))

Okay, my first actual arc is up! Please check it out and tell me what you think. I believe this arc could be very good.
The Revenge of Frostfire!
by @Turkey Lurkey
Arc ID: 18230
Morality: Villainous
Level Range: 7-15 (one mission is 1-54, but that's because of the map limitations)
Length: The system says "Very Long", I disagree. Took me about 45 minutes to run through on my scrapper. Depends on your build. If you're the ghosting type, it will take you less. So don't be scared by the "Very Long".
Description: Poor Frostfire! Always being captured by gangs of heroes. Well, he's had enough! Help him get his revenge!
Mission 1: Lvl 7-15. Patrols, Rescue.
Mission 2: Lvl 1-54. Boss, Defeat All.
Mission 3: Lvl 7-15. Ally, 4 Bosses.
Mission 4: Lvl 7-15. EB, Defeat All.
Notes: I wanted to do a Frostfire arc for villains, and this is what I came up with. I hope people get the joke in the 3rd mission. I'm annoyed with the Police station map because A) you can't have an AI Ally on the map, B) you can't place anything on the 2nd floor, and C) you can't rescue anyone on the map (REEEEALLY?)
Comments Welcome!
TL
I just got around to publishing my first, slightly overly-ambitious arc that took an absolute crapload of tweaking. I'd love for anybody interested in playing it through to let me know what they think.
A Case for Mr. Mystery
by @Mr. Mud
Arc ID: 18273
Morality: Villainous
Level Range: 40-50
Length: Five missions, one Defeat All.
Synopsis: A villain shrouded in mystery has what should be a very simple task for you and some schmoes from the Isles. Should just be some quick cash for very little work... Right?
Difficulty: Moderate. I soloed the entire arc on the third difficulty setting with my Stone Brute. Higher difficulty settings would yield AVs in missions two and five.
Time Sink: Probably 45 mins to an hour, quicker if you duo it or grab a team.
In keeping with the fun and not to miss any great stories
