Virtue Mission Architect Advertisment
Send Ex a note, she'll read it and sticky it.
And hopefully put the missing 'e' in the word "Advertisement"... *huggles Cien*
"City of Heroes. April 27, 2004 - August 31, 2012. Obliterated not with a weapon of mass destruction, not by an all-powerful supervillain... but by a cold-hearted and cowardly corporate suck-up."
There are some MAs in here that I'm really looking forward to taking out for a spin once this goes live. I think this is a great idea for the Virtue community and I hope it gets Stickied to it's rightful place of honor.
I will admit that I am somewhat saddened that no one has put up the oft threatened "Azuria has lost her unmentionables while on a date and you must retrieve them" mission yet. Surely someone has penned a MA about this? Where would any mystics in this game be without Azuria losing assorted and sundry goodies to the forces of darkness?
thanks soul hmm missing e i wonder where they go...*huggles*

Am I the only one who finds this tremendously ironic?
Then again, that's how Nemesis plots seem to go - by stopping him in the past, you actually serve the unknown design of his far-future self...
My own mission arcs, one of which is sort of the converse of the above:
Blood, Sweat, Toil and Tears
Arc ID 8867
Heroic
Long (4 missions - Nemesis)
Join the Resistance on an alternate Earth that was conquered by Nemesis many years ago.
Glory Days
ID 12917
Heroic
Long (4 missions - Family, 5th Column, 60s Arachnos, Arachnos)
Enter the mind of a retired hero to relive the past and find a clue to stopping a new villain in the present.
My characters at Virtueverse
Faces of the City
shame Sonata's map isn't in the game.

do we have all the council as arch villans options?

Everyone except The Center, but then he's only in the game as a sort of contact.
Which is handy, since tonight I started pondering creating an arc where you help form a resistance movement on Council Earth. Steinbeck can do that, you know.
Goodbye, I guess.

Old Habits Die Hard
Arc ID: 14911
Faction: Villain
Creator Global Name: @Solos
Difficulty Level: Easy
Mission Count: 2
Estimated Time to Play: 10-20 minutes
Synopsis: A routine heist goes embarrassingly wrong. You'll have to work fast or risk becoming the laughing stock of the Rogue Isles.
The only arc i've published so far. It's Dev Choice so you won't get any tickets but it's a fun 15 minute diversion if you're a villain! Actually you should wait until it goes live so you can get salvage and recipes in a situation you actually care about!
My "Art Attack" mission got goofy and I unpublished it by accident. So it now has a new Arc ID#, 19251.
TL
I've got 4 (well, three with a "team" version of one of the others) arcs posted on the test server right now. In order from newest to oldest:
Arc Name: Death for Dollars!
Arc ID: 18663
Faction: Custom
Difficulty Level: Low-Medium
Synopsis: The makers of arcade classics 'Destruction Cinema' and 'Absolute Mayhem' bring you the action-packed, gore-filled Virtual Reality show, 'Death for Dollars'!
Estimated Time to Play: 20-30 minutes (3 medium sized missions)
And its team oriented version, which has an identical story, but differs in the following ways:
Arc Name: Death for Dollars Extreme!
Arc ID: 19354
Difficulty Level: Very High (intended for teaming, play the other one if you want to solo it)
Estimated Time to Play: 45-60 minutes on a decent team
----------------------------------------------------
Arc Name: Dr. Duplicate's Dastardly Dare
Arc ID: 713
Faction: Custom
Difficulty Level: Medium ("standard" custom critters, with a "Hard" Elite Boss at the end-- play on heroic if you want him to be toned down to a Boss)
Synopsis: Dr. Duplicate, a villain with a notoriously large ego, has taken over the Paragon Dance Party (people still go there?), and dared you to take it from him!
Estimated Time to Play: 10 minutes-- 1 mission.
----------------------------------------------------
Arc Name: Win the Past, Own the Future
Dev's Choice!
Arc ID: 165
Faction: Multiple
Difficulty Level: High (several AV/EBs, ending with custom ones in the last mission. This is meant for a team.)
Synopsis: In the midst of a riot, someone has escaped from Ziggursky Penitentiary. Discover who it is, what his plans are, and find an unlikely ally in your quest to stop a plan that will otherwise leave the world in a terrifying state.
Estimated Time to Play: 30-45 minutes-- 3 Missions in total.
Please try my custom mission arcs!
Legacy of a Rogue (ID 459586, Entry for Dr. Aeon's Third Challenge)
Death for Dollars! (ID 1050)
Dr. Duplicate's Dastardly Dare (ID 1218)
Win the Past, Own the Future (ID 1429)
The Voice of Freedom
Arc ID 19444
3 Mission Length
You and your companions must answer the mysterious call of a hero in need.
May revise later, but this one has special meaning to me, so feedback would be appreciated on it please.
Whule on the subject yesterday someone new was asking how to rp on broadcast

as Ood Sigma said....We will sing to you, Doctor. The universe will sing you to your sleep. This song is ending. But the story never ends.
I've been getting good positive feedback on my latest arc, "Kidnapping Kelly the Kow" and would like to hear from some virtuites to what you guys and gals think.
This is a 3 mission red-side arc.
It contains 1 EB, but otherwise should be soloable by most classes.
I've made some pretty big changes to the second half of my arc, and I'd like to get some feedback on it.
Repeated just in case:
Arc: If At First You Don't Succeed
ID: 2894
Length: Long/Very Long (5 missions, but several missions are pretty quick)
Description: A routine arrest of an Arachnos thief uncovers a plot to cripple Paragon City!
We'll always have Paragon.
I added two more missions to Hillbilly Cannibal Mayhem!
yay wulfie

Just finished it. A very solid foundation of an arc. I was confused to where the story was going, but it resolved itself *perfectly* at the end. A very satisfying play.
My only constructive criticisms would be that leading a person out of a LONG council map can break flow a bit. May I recommend a shorter final map?
Also, since so much of the story centers on the final character, a longer bio giving the curious player a bit more info would be welcome!
Other than that, I'd say you've got a rock solid arc with a good story.
LOVE the use of the contact to give the missions by the way. VERY clever.
5 stars overall!
So noted
I replaced the map with a shorter medium length one. Will probably pull it again and adjust the bio as you mentioned there, tweaking so that I can put it on the Virtue live release version.
Thanks for the reply and glad you had fun!
I played yours, may play it again for an idepth analysis but I had a lot of fun!
this thread hasnt ben stickied yet have no idea how to do that..however thanks for all the post im having trouble keeping up but will post runs soon (tm)
