Jay's Costume Bug Fix List (Post Issue 14)
Middle o' the screen, the underside o' the armlets, if those could be made alterable from the color o' the upper portion, that would be most excellent. As o' right now, it's only a darker shade than the upper portion and I would like it to be able to match my color scheme. Thank you, Sexy Jay. |

Not sure what's going on with this, never seen it before...it's all like twitchy and stuff, super weird...anyone else getting this?
I'm not certain if it's a bug or a feature, but I recently updated a character costume from the old metallic torso/legs/boots to the new ultra mode super shiny metallic look.
The new metal effect is great, my problem is the metallic skull head hasn't been updated to the new texture, so you get a very obvious mismatch with the metallic torso. Previously they went together seamlessly, so this is a bit of a shame.
Any plans to update the metallic skull to use the new texture?
Hey Jay! Could you please fix the following costume bug:
As you can see. The primary colour of the "electric" top does not match with the same colour option for the head and the legs.
Interestingly enough. It doesn't match even if the "electric" pattern is selected on the legs as well.
The "Metal" pattern (this one) is missing from the Monstrous legs for female characters.

So did the costume team completely skip over Sleeveless Jackets and Pants for males when it came to the Steampunk Pack? There are NO OPTIONS for anything Steampunk when using Sleeveless Jackets or Pants. None. Not even a belt. I don't want to believe this is WAI.
EDIT: Also, why isn't the gold/brass portion of the Classic Steampunk Boots/Gloves colorable? |

When I try to load two of my saved toon outfits I get a message that the piece (10, Chest Detail) can't be found. This is puzzling, since it seems to be a steampunk piece, but I have the steampunk booster. Not only that, I've never loaded either of these toon outfits into the game, they were just costume concepts that I saved.
Was there something that I might have used that was recalled in a subsequent patch?

I believe the chest pieces were replaced rather than fixed, so that would be why. You're still able to load the costume and it'll attempt to fix it (by removing the piece), then you can put the "updated" version on.
Okay, thanks, I'll fiddle around with it later.

Directly related to the replaced Steampunk tops- the original Steampunk jackets (the Classic Steampunk01 vest, to be exact) included a high (wing?) collar and a bowtie as part of the jacket. That's gone now, and there doesn't seem to be any way to get a comparable costume piece- definitely not if you want to keep any piece of shoulder armour, for example.
I'd kind of like to be able to edit my steampunk costume, but I can't, now, without losing the bowtie and period collar- and the 'dress shirt2' option looks... sunken, and kind of silly... if used to replace it. And the bowtie option for the shoulders is poofy, shiny, and looks out of place with the steampunk stuff (and I'd prefer to keep my pauldrons, thank you very much).

the steam punk boots now have a bleed through they didn't previously have.
I dont remember when we got a costume bug fix, I mean, fixing old bugs using an Issue patch.
Just some recent bugs from paid costumes like Animal or Steampunk pack.
I dont know if we should keep posting stuff here.
Lots of things were never fixed.
Like the pattern for the SoA costume for bottom tights of female widows.
I wasn't sure whether this would fit better under bugs, or the costume request thread. I'm leaning more toward bug though.
Currently the chest option Tanker is available to both huge, and female body types with Sleeveless Jackets. It is not available to Male.
Not sure if it's a bug per se, but could we have a two-colour option for the Barbarian Ring gloves (Skin)? It would be nice to be able to match them to the belt and shoulders.
Also, any hope that hair colour for the Men's Steampunk Bowler hats will be customizable again? It wasn't at first, then it was for a while, then it was patched and no longer customizable again.
"Thank God I'm only watching the game, controlling it!"
There's a little bleedthrough on the barbarian guard chest detail, a little bit of the tummy shows through when standing still at random times.
Female ears still can't be colored.

Also, I was going through my costumes (creating an alt-filled, themed Coalition SG) and noticed that the Costume Creator doesn't seem to be smart enough to take a costume and mirror it onto the opposite gender. I ended up having to manually go into the costume file and change all instances of MALE to FEMALE/HUGE for instance. I'm not sure this is necessarily a bug, but with us having access to the Super Tailor function now this should be a working feature atleast.
Eyes on VEAT helmets not glowing.
I posted about this several times, and no reply from a redname.
The eyes on the original VEAT costume do not glow.
The eyes on the Huntsman Helmet do glow.
The eyes on NPC Crabs and Banes do glow.
The eyes on the Incarnate Lore Bane do glow.
The eyes on the Pre-Order Helmets do glow.
So can we please fix this?

As you can probably see, there are holes in the split at the end of the Retro Sleeves under Jackets when seen from behind. Probably because it appears that the Sleeves for all Jackets replace the upper arm textures, but there needs to be something there to hide that.
Seen here: Jackets: Retro w/ Retro sleeves, Monstrous gloves.

The boots... I cannot get them to match the white of the rest of the set. In anyway!
I found two other images of another poster on this forum that also shows this problem.
The other Alpha parts work fine. They give white on the parts that is slightly a mix of both colors used on the boots. It interrupts the flow of color Seems like a bug to me.

Prior to Issue 21 and Freedom, I had a character who used what is now called "Victorian Steampunk Vest 01" as his jacket and the Victorian Ascot/Shirt came with it underneath the vest. Now, post i21, I have to choose the Victorian Ascot/Shirt as a chest detail (now called Victorian Steampunk 01 under chest details), therefore not allowing me to have the Vest, Ascot, and a separate chest emblem on the vest at the the same time.
In the spirit of "not taking anything away, only adding things" to the game, I'd like to see this fixed in any upcoming issues.
Thanks!
On the huge body model, the backs of all the old beast heads (particularly "reptile"), and many (all?) of the older hairstyles, break away from the nape of the neck. Sort of the antithesis of clipping, if that makes sense. They've been like this for at least as long as I've been here - soon to be five years.
Male models cannot use the "venus" astrological chest symbol. Also a 5-year bug.
Female models cannot use the "mars" astrological chest symbol. Also also a 5-year bug.
From the latter two, one might start to think that someone at Paragon has a squicky "hang up" about "transgendered" characters...
Then again, since none of the dev staff apparently reads or acts on the items posted here, I'm not really sure why I'm mentioning these, again...
Where to find me after the end:

Rift - Faeblight - Bloodspeaker
LotRO - Gladden - Aranelion
STO - Holodeck - @Captain_Thiraas
Obviously, I don't care about NCSoft's forum rules, now.
Dear Jay,
The Ascension gloves(normal and radiance) appear to not have any sort of secondary color, which really sets them apart from the rest of the set, being singularly one color. I'm sure it would be much appreciated if they gain a second color to make the match and fit in with the rest of its respective set. Thanks.
