Not quite accurate... my thread in the RP forum gets quite a bit, but you gotta admit, Steelclaw has the talent to warrant the attention.

If you take time to help others, you help yourself grow.
If you take time to help yourself, you realize how far you have to go.
If you take time for chocolate . . . you've discovered the secret to a happy life !

You don't hit smiling monsters - Sister Flame
This one has nothing to do with the City of Oz... but it does sort of show that I've been doing the song parody thing for a long time.
Back when I was in high school and playing Dungeons and Dragons as a DM fairly regularly I had created a problem for the players that required the services of a wise man who specialized in plant lore. They searched far and wide for a person to help them. Finally they came across a rumor of a learned man who had dedicated all his life to knowing about a very specific vegetable. The rumor went on that he was extremely rich but also very eccentric.
When the party arrived at his house they were greeted by a long red carpet leading to his door. Arching over the carpet was a canopy supported by steel rods. As they stepped onto the carpet, illusionary dancing girls appeared and began to sing.
(To the tune of "Age of Aquarius)
"You've reached the awning of the Sage of Asparagus... the Sage of Asparagus... Asparaguuuus... Aspaaaragus!"
Several of the players threatened to quit after that one.
My mind wanders so often you've probably seen its picture on milk cartons. - Me... the first person version of the third person Steelclaw

Group gaming without ludicrous pop-culture references wouldn't be worth playing

Well, if they had looked better, they likely would have found a Shrubber and spared themselves, so they brought it upon themselves fair and square.
"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"
"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."
Can't believed I missed this before.
Excellent. Favorited!

I am not resurrecting the thread.... er... not really anyway.
I just wanted to let everyone who enjoyed this particular little bit of sillyness know that I have created a City of Oz mission arc on MA in the open beta.
While there are no song parodies (space restrictions did not allow it) the characters are pretty close to their silly originals here.
Story Name: City of Oz
Arc ID: 8692
Author Name: D'Shan Steelclaw
It's a comedy, don't expect much seriousness. Come on! Flying Monkeys! Who doesn't want to battle flying monkeys?!?
Love to hear anyone's feedback on the arc!

This is absolutely 5-star material. I dearly hope that the devs play and enjoy it as much as I did.

Wpw! Thanks a lot for the feedback, both here and on the server.
I am going to re-vamp it for the live version. I want to get cherub wings for Agent Crowe and retool some of the language a bit. Also trying to get a better hat for FlareCrow.
I appreciate the good words; hopefully when it hits live it will continue to entertain people.

HAHAHAHAH cherub wings would be perfect Don't change too much of the dialog, it was hilarious!
Especially the 9Lives girl... heh.

I must say Steelclaw, I AM a little sad NOT to see Tata fighting but your reasoning for him NOT fighting really does make up for it.
I also would love to see The Lizzard of Odd make an appearance...possibly as an Ally?

Well done! I can't wait for the musical.
(Singing)
Come on And
Breeze on down, breeze on down the road
Come on, breeze on down, breeze on down the road
There be time for debuffing while Gale reloads. Come on breeze on down breeze on
Down, down the road.
Throw some minions up while hurricane is down
Come on lets keep shooting before they hit the ground
You just keep on knocking stuff down the road you choose
And don't you give up blasting, Energy should do.
Breeze on down, breeze on down the road
Come on, breeze on down, breeze on down the road
There be time for debuffing while Gale reloads. Come on breeze on down breeze on
Down, down the road.
Cause there may be times they think you've lost your mind
And the Gale your tossing leaves leave their herd destroyed
But the road your walking won't be boring times
You just keep on shooting and you'll be just fine (yeah)
Breeze on down, breeze on down the road
Come on, breeze on down, breeze on down the road
There be time for debuffing while Gale reloads. Come on breeze on down breeze on
Down, down the road.
For there may be times they'll wish you wasn't born
And you drop Tornado then find your tank has gone
But you know that teaming only takes a while
You just stick with Gale, you'll shoot your foes a mile.
Get em' up, going down (breeze on down the road)
Get em' up, going down (breeze on down the road)
Get em' up, going down (breeze on down the road)
Get em' up, going down (breeze on down the road)
(end song)
