These are digital paintings, not screenshots, so I am obvisouly not entering the contest. Ref from costume websites I found through google image search. First one is a straight copy. For the second one, I came up with my own pose, but tried to fit the costume from reference image in that pose.

This might be pushing the bounds of being too super-heroey and not piratey enough, but this character's look, name, and story are definitely pirate-inspired.

Here is High Barbary inspired by Heather Alexander's version of the song by the same name.
Seemed like a natural enough theme for my DB/SR scrapper. He learned swordplay from his pirate father while his ninja mother taught him elusiveness and stealth. An ill fated trip through the Bermuda Triangle left him stranded in our time.

Here be Eric the Dead, a cursed buccaneer who uses hellfire to reap the souls of the wicked to redeem his own evil deeds. He was already keelhauled by his crew after they discovered that he'd kept a particularly valuable jewel from the pool of looted booty, but little did he know that the jewel would curse him to walk the earth until he adequately repays the sins of his previous life, clensing evil with a blade of fire.

This be a fantasy spin on a character from classic Japanese history. My character, based on the famous ronin Miyamoto Musashi, had an extra costume slot... so I thought to meself, what if Musashi had been a swashbuckler?
