No. Brutes club things over the head with "Maces," the Mace Mastery pool (and Bane Spiders) use "Arachnos Maces."
So you can customize the stuff in Mace Mastery, but you can't shoot lasers from your bat.

I'd just like everyone to know, this thread is inspiring. Truly.
Now WM/EA is REALLY strong and REALLY pretty. Ran with a friend who had one at 42; he was taking on +3/x8 with no issue. I felt like he didn't even need me along.
I saw an WM/EA in Atlas Park on day 1. It was a moving experience.
Maybe even more moving now, I did just open up a name on Virtue and WM/EA would fit...
Largely because of this thread, I made a war mace/energy aura brute and have been taking it through Praetoria and now the First Ward content. To my great surprise, it's been a blast to play. It's one of the easiest runs through Praetoria I've had.
Good God I can't believe this old thread is going.
I hope it never gets locked so that all the F2Ps can come in here and say "Yur yer rite is so strong n pritty" when they join... Plus I've stuck his epic rebuttal in my sig.

I finally played my Brute (Pretty Strong) a bit, went from 15 to 20. I hadn't played him since the /EA changes because he's stuck in that place I can't seem to take any toon out of there (Praetoria, it bores me to death, especially since it was deserted even on a Friday night, on Virtue).
And wow the taunt aura is very good, I was teamed with a DP/Traps corr who was like level 12, meaning he was basically a weaker DP blaster, which was ideal to test my aggro grabbing capacity because he kept dishing out his AoEs (and since he was lolDP that meant he kept tickling everyone) and I still didn't have Whirling Mace, and even then I had no problem keeping aggro on me without using Taunt. Obviously being with a defensive secondary on DOs, I kissed the floor sometimes, and I feel the heal comes way too late, but the combo looks good to me. War Mace is an end hog but EA fixes that, and I have good mitigation since level 8 with the KU attack and Clobber.
I was toying with Mids earlier today. EA softcaps S/L/E with Smashing Haymakers(!), Reactive Armors, and the Steadfast proc. I'm still toying with the build, but that with Energize and Power Siphon and Entropic Aura and mmm-mmm, you'll be very strong and pretty indeed. It might almost rival my Claws/Elec once I get him up to the 30s.
