i think it replaces, i haven't used it in a while but pretty sure thats how it worked. the thing sucks though, low damage, high end, have to keep resummoning, pretty much the only good thing is that it scourges

I like my voltaic sentinal for PvP. Its untargetable/unkillable, scourges, and drains approx 8 end per blast at 10 shots per lifespan thats around 50% end that it drains (taking end recovery into consideration).. its not thaaat bad..

And I can confirm, you can not summon two, it just replaces the old one.

hmm... im not taking thunderstrike on mine until they tag it as a toggle dropper.


the dpa is crap compared to pretty much all other elec attacks. and my recharge should be enough to chain charged brawl, char and havoc punch together.

I personally found it too painful to get to domination while getting knocked around. It's not a huge sacrifice to put a kb io in your shield and combat, manuevers, tactics, but it makes a very nice difference.

Facing a rad/psi for example, if you get knocked you're gonna die pretty damn fast. Even if you do FoN+snipe it doesn't build -that- fast that they can't get an attack off before you have dom.

I can tolerate the KB from TKB, given 2 bfs (-5 each), or if TKB is slotted, I have the hp + Mu pet to deal with incoming damage (though rad/psi still carries the advantage).

More rough, is a skilled blaster, rushing with a slotted up power thrust + followup.

I've found on my Ice/Elec that Thunder Strike is a nice finisher if someone pops a bf and tries to run, I also joust with TS if I have dom up, it has a decent stun that appears to be boosted by Domination.

I personally like the big hitter, it can deal some pretty sick damage, what are you taking instead? I hear lightning bolt is pretty good, does decent damage, and I could get a nice recharge boost from a deci set i suppose. Anyone else have feelings about the LB power?

i'm not worried about getting killed while being KBd, I may be KB'd once or twice before I get domination off but that would probably be it. I can't afford to take slots away from other stuff for KB protection, my defense is my offense.

do you ever get frustrated with your mu healing your Imps instead of you? My god, I had to stop summoning Jack because my Mu kept healing him in duels, as soon as I dropped Jack for voltaic sentinal (untargetable) my survivability went through the roof.

I wonder if that is a bug...

It's not a bug. Most people don't bother attacking jack, just hold/stun him, so I never noticed it. In pve its much worse trying to farm with my fire/psi.

As you can see, you do far more damage in "normal" mode under the proposed system, then you do in the current Domination mode. The trade off is, if you want Control, you use domination mode, if you want lots of damage, you leave Domination inactive.

Obviously, lot's of tweaks on the exact values would need to be made...and, of course, I have to convince the other guys that this is the right way to go (I'm not entirely convinced myself, and I know there are several other options to consider.)

EDIT: Standardizing the Duration comment: Right now, in Domination, half of your Mag is one duration, and the other half is that duration +50%. I'd standardize it so the entire mag was 150% while in Domination mode.

CoX, where the PvEers throw more insults than the PvPers.


Also, that change sounds like it'll turn Doms into the new Khelds, unless they make Domination a no-animation quick-recharge toggle.
