There is no such thing as TK anymore, TK's spirit remains in domination's over 9000 KB resist

I like how Arctic Fog, Ice Shield, and Glacial Shield gets you 6 KB IOs rite thar off topic, sorry.

For some reason, during the last invasions, I was being kb'd by the rikti dropships with 12kb protection and dom up.

They are one of the few sources of unresistable knockback in the game.

I currently made a Ice/Elec dom, and I was wondering if i should make a PvE Build till im 50 and have enough cash to get perma-dom. Or Go ahead and make my PvP build, and start IO'ing on the way.

Personally I want to make a PvE build, get cash, respec, buy IO's, and finally PvP.

But would it be easier and less of a headache to go ahead and make the PvP build?

Any suggestions would most help.

I don't really have any experience with that since my stuff was PLed to 50 and other people purpled my stuff but I think you could get away with a pve build to 50 and respec into a pvp build and IO it out

it's just a mess if you spend money on a build and you accidentally messed it up, I've had that happen when IOs first came out just make sure you are absolutely on your build and slotting

Well I bought IO sets and HOs on my fort when it was a PvE build. It was made for the ITF, i did that TF from lvls 35-50 in a week. Then I respeced into a PvP build.

I could do that with this build, buy the IO sets that give +rech, respec into a pvp build, and then buy w/e else i need to get perma.

But im still having this one prob with my build. Should i take flash freeze to get the sleep IO set for rech, or put the set in one of the elec melees?

put it in flash freeze, you need to slot your melee for damage

In my experience, you can do very well in PvE with a PvP build. If you have the respec to use, go for it. Otherwise, might as well just build for PvP as you level up.

I think i will go with a PvE build first, i have 2 respecs.

But knowing me, and my PvP crave, I will go to SC at lvl 20 :3

Depends on the build, and it's not easy, but 45kb protection cah be had. Ajax's test team build is running 48 mag protection, according to him.

That is correct. my cold/sonic defender test team build has mag 48 KB protection. You can slot both steadfast and karma's in both defense shields, and artic fog. karma's in combat jump, stealth, invis, manouvers. steadfast on the epic shield. Slotted acro. My sonic/sonic defender is not far behind. I think its 44 mag on that one.

Technically, you could get yourself something like 67ish knockback protection (5 resistance, 5 defense, 5 kinetic crashes, acro). The build I used was a sonic/energy defender. Not much use besides caging, however.

even if im pl-ing a toon from 1 to 50, i usually level it in a pve build for accolading purposes.

after i have my accolades, i respec to a pvp build.

accolades are key in any serious pvp build.
