A prototype tanker costume that Im not sure about
I like the top part of the costume quite a bit, but the white really messes up the transition to the legs. You might want to try some of the super light colors in the far right columns or make it more of a gray.
yah the legs and chest are being difficult.
I wanted a distinctive look to the bottom (non-armored) pieces..so that it would actually appear as though this was a guy who has armor strapped on over his clothes.. rather than having the armor pieces dominate the whole look.
Unfortunately, the way I wanted to colors to work on the bottom pieces...there werent many patterns that would make it look how I wanted..so the Dagger patter won by default on the pants. I agree it looks a bit out of place.

Just make the dagger pattern a darkish blue, 1-2 clicks or so from what your using on the torso armor. That'll blend the pants into the boots and yet leave a distinctive enough cutoff from the black boots. The blue will also harmonize the costume upper part with the lower part by dragging that color scheme down the whole look.

I'd say just make the pants all white, and keep the boots black.
'Twere me, I'd echo the blue and Goldish orange on the Torso in the legs, below the white (lower 2/3 of the legs.

I mostly agree with you. I'd make the boots gold/blue. I'd also make the pants a solid color; if it's just supposed to be an armor suit over normal clothing, then it could be any normal color; like jeans color.
I must say, very unique!
I tried going with a "street clothes" look..but I found that the jeans and tshirt thing just didnt look as good.
As for putting more gold and blue on the legs.. I toyed around with it a little bit but couldnt come up with something that looked right. The idea is to put all the emphasis on his arms, since that is the key point of his concept. So I really want the legs to be noticable as part of his "under"-costume..but not to tie it in with his arms/chest.. as that would make it appear to be part of his armor.
Get rid of the current leg pattern entirely. It's disjointed and really takes away from the look you have going already. In fact, a basic blend would probably be better here. If you still want to keep the pattern, then I suggest making the two colors no more than two click saturations away from each other. Preferably on the right right side, where the dull colors are.
Also, lighten up on the black. Make it a notch lighter so it doesn't compete with the saturate blue. Right now, the lower half is competing with the upper half for attention and that's what's killing an otherwise good idea.

The Guide to BURN
I like it. I'd mess around with the colors to see if there's something you can uncover, but I like the concept.

I love it. I wouldn't change a thing. I think the pants are what makes it look cool. IMO you should stick with it....why mess with perfection? Seriously, I am picky and usually don't like others people costumes, but that is simple and unique. I like it.
I would say try changing the pants from baggy to tights and see if that helps separate it from the boots a little better.

what Suichy said.
ive got a new version up. Again, im not sure. I think the clothes(legs) are better, but im not sure if I like the more subdued torso that I went with.
it looks more realistic and "rough" i think..but now for some reason the costume just doesnt "POW" anymore to me.. maybe its cause ive been looking at it too much.
By the way I have decided to name him Bad Fist.. it is sufficiently brutish.

If you want a little more of that "POW" you had before, you could always change the 2nd color on the shoulders and gloves to a blue or red to go with the yellowish pants.
EDIT: I like the silver!
This pattern is much nicer than the previous pattern, but since you've changed colors around the emphasis is now on the legs instead of the trunk where you want it. I actually quite like the iron look of the armor, but if you want it to stand out, the armor has to have a relatively more bold color than the legs do. A dull color for the legs is better in this case, with a more vibrant color on the armor.
You're still having an issue with the black being to saturate for the outfit though. It's competing for attention with the armor, especially so on this version.

The Guide to BURN
I dunno. Rather than try to explain it, I tried to recreate it with some touches. Just to give an idea of stuff I'd tweak.
Just my suggestion.
I honestly liked the original version, just thought the pants stuck out too much.
The original is great, the pants make the boots look like they are continuing past your knee. I like it.
Normally I don't go for monochrome, but the silver version is more effective. It looks heavier, industrial. The pattern on the bottom is good too, but I'd go with a matte texture for the boots. The lace details pull the eye downward.
I'm not sure I agree with Suichiro on the black accents, but it couldn't hurt to experiment with the dark greys.
Nice costume overall!
I like the 2nd version as well. Maybe introduce a color on small pieces, but nothing more. Looks solid.
By the by, I just got back into the game since i8, and wanted to know which gloves are those? Are they invention pieces?

Ok folks..well the patch is out and this is the design I went with.
I dunno.. I really liked the buckled leather pattern but now that ive looked at it on my character a bit more, I may go back to my old pattern. Its nice looking but I think I liked the more uniform-ish look of my old stuff.
I went with gold armor cause the color stood out, and meshed well with the green and black..and looked fairly "sturdy"..though again, I think I may like the gray more.
I will probably stick with this look for a while, or until I can get some influence cause im broke hehe
When I do change it, I may go back to something closer to the second version I posted.. but with a different color than gold on the legs/chest..and possibly a darker shade of gray for the armor.
Thanks for all the advice everyone..feel free to continue with it. As you can see..im still not completely decided on what im going to do with it.
I wanted to get some opinions on this costume.
Personally...I think it looks kind of cool, but I also think alot of people may not agree with me .
The concept is a big angry WP/SS Tank with some nifty arm augmentation and a "If it looks at me funny, im gonna put 2 tons of metal glove through its face" attitude. Pretty basic stuff.
