High Beams Flashback Badging Guide (Hero)
This guide has helped me so much. Thanks
First off, thanks for all of the feedback. I have been redoing several arc ranges and based on my latest experiences (coupled with the feedback here), I am changing my reccomended arc selection for the 30-34 range to "Hatred's Hungry Heart" When I did my testing originally with these I was getting my hide tanned by Champion type Tuatha and there was indeed a frustration level there.
Now, I have done this arc again several times and in comparison to the Council Arc I originally reccomended, the Croatoa arc is shorter and in general not so bad once you get past that first mission. The Coven troops arent bad as they love their ranged attacks and the hunts are multiple levels under your exemped level so hunting is quick.

IMPRESSIVE! I've been beating my brains out trying to figure out a system to maximize the badges, and have some form of standard flow so I could use for all my other heroes/villains and WOOT!, here it is!
My damaged neurons and bruised noggin thank you!
I've finally finished this and have every Ouroboros badge. Thanks, High-Beam. This is the most useful and easy to use guide. My main (a blaster also) used every penny earned to work on the invention badges, so he's up to 448 badges. Couldn't have done it without you.
I would like to recommend doing 'The Mind of a King' over 'I lost My Daddy' in the 15 to 19 catagory. There were a ton of Anathema mezzers in 'Daddy', and the OB portal cuts down the travel time greatly. Other than that, the whole guide really rocks.
Attn: people who do 'Welcome to Vanguard' and drop after the first mission as a farm: Do Decker! With inviz and Fly, my 50 can do it in 11 minutes. It would probably be even faster with SS. Plus you get one arc complete towards your 50 arcs badge. It also yields about 200k inf with minimum fighting.
Thanks again, High-Beam. You rock.
You are awesome!!! I took 3 months off hoping to find a guide just like this when I decided to come back.....AWESOME!!!
10 STARS
Very useful guide, appreciated.
I'm only ladylike when compared to my sister.
Not sure if this has been mentioned, it wasn't in the original guide but If your looking for just the badge mishs the mish may very well be in a higher bracket. IE Slag reaper badge can be found between 25-29 but the contact starts at 20-24

2. Never Set No Enhancements with No Inspirations in same mission.

Actually, on my Tanker, I found the player debuff to be the harshest, no Enhancemet AND no Inspirations following, closely tailed by the Villain buff.
After completing the Medalists badges and the limited deat badges I did the missions like this:
Player Debuff + No Travel Powers (although I receive a heavy debuffs, not having travel powers doesn't handicap me in combat).
Villain buff + Only AT Powers (the foes hit more often and they hit stronger, but none of my temporary/pool powers would help that much).
No Enhancements + No Inspirations + No Temporary Powers (almost as tough as the player debuff, but not quite, meaning that I can sacrifice temporary powers).
[/ QUOTE ]
I wanted to add, long after I finished the Ouroboros arc badges that No Enhancements *does* become harder to manage than Player Debuff (starting in the high 30s).
In that case, you want to match up No Enhancements with No Travel Powers, the rest can usually be mixed and matched, (difficulty from hardest to easiest, in general: Player Debuff, Villain Buff, No Inpirations)
HighBeam I would like to say thanks. I am currently using this guide to help me get my Ouro badges, and find it very helpful.
Something's going on in that Division: Line arc for 40-45. The Recapture C'Kelkah mission seems bugged. C'Kelkah tends to Leroy Jenkins and die a lot, but the mission doesn't end. It doesn't fail and you can't complete it since you can't lead him out. On a flashback, the only way I found to reset was to log out for 5 minutes and back in.

C'Kelkah does indeed seem to have a high aggro threshold. I got bit by it once and was unhappy. I have had to ensure that I was dropping any nearby mobs before I drop kicked the guarding mob so that our Rikti pal didnt go mental on the ole captors.

Kill his captors from long range or aggro them to you. Then when C'Kelkah's free, don't walk up to him. Defeat the ambushes first. Then walk up to him and escort him out. Easy peazy.
good looking out on the guide High Beam! helped me out big time! thanks!
Awesome guide, thanx!

I have recieved some PM's asking me if I was going to write up a Flashback Badging guide for villains. When I originally wrote the Hero guide I thought about it, but with so many small arcs on the V side, what Nericus did with his guide is as good as it gets and if I was to create something it would be both insulting to his/her work and to be honest, not as good. But I appreciate the good words people have spoken.

Thanks Highbeam Your hero guide is also as truly good as it gets for the heroside.
To High Beam,
Thank you for this guide its has helped me get my badges and now 36 arcs later
I've done the "challenges" part (I ran a few more then needed. ) Infact now I'm
just down to 3 badges for all of the i12 badges. (hero side) Only MotSTF and 2 for
numbers of arcs (45 and 50 arcs) badges left to go, fortunatly another Justice
badger helped point me in direction of a fast badge mission.
To help your readers its psi-clock king in the 40-45 range just dont use any
restrictions and do use LOTS of pills for a easy EB (atleast is for my blaster)
Glad to help. As I told Electora, I could finish off the Psi Clockwork King as fast as my Oro portal would recharge, and I have perma-Hasten and perma-AM on my badger. That puts it at about once every 2.5 minutes in-game, and zoning adds about a minute overhead.
Goodbye and thanks for all the fish.
I've moved on to Diablo 3, TopDoc-1304
As stated earlier, great guide, with a caveat. My badger is a scrapper, and i found the lvl 39 PP arc to be much easier and faster than the Nem arc even with no travel powers.
I'm not done with the current Nem arc, but so far i've had 2 defeat all missions out of 8, and in every single one of them lots of snipers, making it hard to just pull aggro on one mob. Compare that to the PP arc, though lots of running around, and one hunt (50 crey in brix, gray/green stuff) it is way shorter taking only 90 minutes to run through doors and get clickies.

Naturally some AT's are going to find some arcs easier than others. For about one tenth of one second I was going to write the guide based on doing the Hero arcs with my Emp/Psi Defender. Then I came to my senses when I realized that it wouldnt be finished for three years and then did it with a Blaster.

Hatred's Hungry Heart is the way to go for the 30-34 badges. First mission is a rescue, once you get him you'll be ambushed. Just run to the back of the room and he'll be overpowered and killed. Mission fail, but arc continues. 2 "Kill 10" hunts, all enemies in area well below your level. The only thing that might get you is the "Free Tuatha From Spells" mission. However, if you have /bind <key> "targetcustomnext Captive Tuatha", this mission becomes quite easy. Last mission find three henges, destroy, exit, victory.
Also, this arc takes place entirely within Croatoa, so no extra zoning would be required.

Completely agree. This arc is definitely a strong candidate for the 30-34 badges.
It's also good for Tier 2 oranges whether you want to stay "in arc" or step "out of arc".
