This would be the case if the last 2 years have been their coffee break. CoP/Base raids were advertised features that have been undelivered, then bugged, then rescinded and remained missing for almost 2 years. The people who have paid for those advertised features have continuously asked them for an update as to the status only to receive silence. It is an embarrassment to Cryptic and to the devs, and their unwillingness to communicate just exaserbates the situation. How long should their "break" be? How much time does it take to type : "We are sorry, we acknowledge that there is a major advertised feature that we haven't implemented and fixed 2 years since it was sold." But of course, dodging their responsibilities and talking about Photo 1, 2 and 3 is so much easier.

Not calling you a liar of course, but can you link to a dev post where they have apologized for CoP/Base raid? I sure can't find it. In fact, I tried to go as far back as the forum will allow to find explanations or even a status update on its future and had absolutely no luck.

While he didn't get on his knees and grovel for forgiveness, he did address the issue and explain the reasons for the delay. He was frank and honest and didn't shy away from the issue. I would assume the answer today would sound the same, thus why you haven't heard much else on the matter.
I'll be honest I find it hard to believe that anyone signed up for this game based solely on the concept of base raids. I hear a lot of bluster about them but I really think that in the list of priorities of what brings new players and keeps old players that the CoP and base raids aren't in the top 5. We've been promised a lot of things that didn't come true. But like life sometimes you don't get what's promised. You can "keep on keeping on" or take your toys and leave. You're still here so I'm guessing there is something you like about the game. I'm not trying to be rude or mean I promise. Life is fluid and things change. They acknowledge some promised things aren't where they wanted them to be. I guess we have to just be happy with what we have.

As far as I'm aware, Ex Libris is the one posting photo's, and if I'm not mistaken, she's an NCSoft employee, not Cryptic, so has little to do with development.
Secondly, noone has paid for any feature's whether they be in the game or not. Your subscription pays for access to the game, which changes for better or worse in a manner comensurate with the whims of the developer and/or publisher.
Third, posting takes all of a few minutes at most. It takes longer to sneeze than it does bang out two of the three posts Positron has made here. The last would be two sneezes.
