Consignment House Rollbacks!
Does this mean, all the stuff we had on the auction, is gone forever???? or is there hope to get our stuff back???
We are working on figuring out if this is feasible and executable.
So short answer is we don't know yet.

I was robbed, robbed I tell ya!! Guess Ex is right and I am gonna have to show some love to the bad side!
And last night was the night I decided to put a 10 Million Infl buy order for Tech Wings. No Tech Wings, and no 10M Infl returned.
For a character with less than 30M to start out with, this is honestly more than irritating.
Of course, if I was compensated with the recipe I wanted to buy in the first place, I would consider the matter settled
Ick. I had a lot of money sitting out for bulk salvage bids - was right in the middle of working on the endurance IO memorization badges. The way people are scalping for common salvage, that's a lot of lost influence on my end. I feel really sorry for the people who put up 15 million influence bids for costume pieces last night.
I sure hope it's feasible to recompense people for their lost transactions in some way. The scalping going on is bad enough without a lot of money disappearing into the void entirely.

I lost 3 HOs in the auction house.... dont remember if i had anything else.... they were Centrioles... but still.. i could of fetched SOME moneh. heh
This kinda sucks... I just got a pair of fairy wings and had them up for auction as well as a bid in for another set of wings for some 20mil influence. So does this mean that I lose them and the possible influence gained for the sale not to mention the 20mil for the bid? I logged in this afternoon and they are definately gone with no influence to show for them... oh and the kick in the nutz is that I spent influence on the listing too! lol

Eh, my junk wasn't selling anyway- you can keep it........

Ouch... I am sure that they will do somthing to compensate. As stated it is being worked on. Unfortunantly it was/is bound to happen at some point. I dont know what I lost. Actually I do.. ouch... About a Mill worth of low Level Magic Salvage.. Well risk not want not. Hope the issue has been corrected and everyone that lost stuff can be compensated in on way or another.
WHAT?! Man this sucks. I stored ALL the Recipes that required Pangean Soil/ Essence of the Furies/ Hamidon Goo/ Synthetic Intellgence Unit/and Rikti Alloy because purchasing them is damn near impossible. This really sucks. I wouldn't be so upset if the drop rate for Rare Salvage wasn't crappy. After doing an RSF set on Relentless I didn't get 1 rare Salvage drop. I plenty of Recipies for Basic IO's and a few Uncommon Recipes, but NO Rare Salvage.

What good is a double drop rate with limited storage capability?

What good is a double drop rate when <censored> can just <expletive> disappear!
I have to say that I have enjoyed the new IO system, but was horrified when my stuff was missing.
IDK, it ticks me off that storage is so limted that we are now using the slots in the consignment house to to help ease the burden. Now, they go and bugger it, so you lose all of your loot!
Ok, so we just got hosed and from the looks of the response it appears that no direct restoration is possible, BRILLIANT.
Yes, lets wait patiently and see what they how they are going to return my "rare" salvage that was up for sale and the return of my goods and influence in full.
This is bad.
The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.
Someone's gotta say it, so...
I told you so.
I9 was not ready for Live. The CH/BM servers needed more fortifying, and this proves it.
It definitely displays the shortcomings in the ability to safely record and back up player transactions in the event of server malfunction/ database failure/ etc.
When you're dealing with players' virtual savings, you need a virtual FDIC
Where's a syslog server when you need one?
Over 20 million in a multitude of ways, stored items, bought items (not yet retrieved), bids... it will be interesting to see what they can do about it. If I get my money back, I'll be happy, nothing on there was irreplaceable, but the time lost while keeping slots open, and the general annoyance of it all is irritating me.
Egor.
I just checked and my stuff is still there. I don't know if that is a good thing or bad thing...
Lighthouse opened another thread with more explanation and plans for returning lost goods and Influence here. Feel free to comment
(All in all, I'm optimistic things will eventually turn out right)

We all know I9 was not ready for Live. What Issue was -ever- technically ready to go?
But while we are are in "Someone's gotta say it" opinion/theory mode I'll offer that what might have happened in this case was a stupid human operator error. Obviously we may never learn that for sure even if that was what happened, but I'll cite from the following post from Lighthouse on the matter from yesterday:

To elaborate on the roll back of the Hero auction; here is the scoop.
Hero Auctions were unfortunately restored from a back up dating from 10 PM Central on May 8th. This means that items you may have put up on the Consignment Market after that time may not be there now. Please keep in mind that this is Hero side only and does not affect Villains.
We are working on a way to address the issue by restoring lost items. Engineering is still evaluating and testing this method of correction. At this time, Customer Support is not in a position to address this on an individual basis. Should the current plan of correction not work out (again, it's still being tested) we have other ideas for compensation in mind and I'll elaborate on that as needed.
Please keep in mind that this in no way affects any items or influence that were on your character(s). Only items that were stored or up for auction may be affected. Our sincere thanks for your patience and understanding. Also, please know that we are already implementing new safeguards and procedures to correct the issue that led to this incident.

I highlighted the key parts to illustrate my point. Why would Lighthouse say "unfortunately restored" unless that was the key mistake of this situation that would have been directly related to what a human operator would have been responsible for? And while "safeguards and procedures" can be applied to software controls, in the context given it sounds an awful lot like things they are going to ensure their employees are going to do from now on.
I believe when they had to do the manual rollback someone made a goof human mistake by restoring the wrong backup. Before they realized it too much time passed and now we are stuck with this "version" of Auction House reality until they recreate the missing transactions, if they can.
Again I'm sure we would never be told of this directly because it would be an admission of a pretty serious screw up. But I have confidence that they will be able to fix most of the losses whatever the real reason behind it was.
Sadly nothing Lighthouse has said since this post has disproven my theory on this either...
