Consolidated Thread: Statesman's Task Force

Ran it for the second time tonight and had my first success. In the first one we had a blaster drop out in the first mission and did great until Mako, which we just couldn't take down. Tonight was awesome. I didn't even die once! The team was composed of the following:

3 Def: 2 Dark/Dark, 1 Emp/Dark
2 Con: Ill/Kin, Fire/Rad
2 Scr: Claw/Inv, MA/SR (me)
1 Tan: Stone/NRG

We blew through it for the most part. When we got to the AV's, we tried to pull Mako, but they all came. And we fought them like that. Taking out Mako first (the one that fouled up my first team), then Scorpion, then Scirocco, and finally Widow. She was the only one that we had a problem with because at first there were pets around her that she was using to draw heals from. We got rid of them and then took her down. We proceeded to Recluse, took down the towers, then him. Finally, we took out the flier. That's right, we had the flier going the whole time. Our tank held Recluse's attention while we took down the towers. Loved my dragon's tail here as I used it to hit repairmen while still pounding on the tower. (Also loved it against the Aeons :P) We had a couple of tactics, with a vengeance and a fallout available. It took about 3 hours, and was surprisingly straightforward without any real bumps in the road. Sure, some of the squishies died here and there, but nothing near a wipe. Overall, it was a blast!

*Walks into Thread*

*Puffs out chest*

Tundara 4
Recluse: Nada, zip, zero, the gooses egg, a big fat nothing.

And 2 draws, but they don't count as I didn't make those teams, just joined them. (for purposes of my record only Teams made by me count. )

The Team this time:

Tundara: Ice/Ice/Pyre Tank
Power Wolf: Inv/EM Tank
Kick People Gal: MA/SR/Body Scrapper
Berkana.2: Ill/Rad Troller
Shadow's Grip: Dark/Dark/Elec Defender
Radical Girl: Ill/Kin Troller
Rigo44: Energy/Energy Blaster.

An awesome team all around. Only time we had troubles was when fighting Mako, Ghost and Scir decided to join the fun. After getting kicked around a smitch (we did manage to make Mako Elude once even under the attacks of the three AVs), Mako and Scir went off for cofee and donuts while Widow stayed for some last minute gloating. Since she was on her own, we did a PA dog-pile on her and bonked her on the noggin. Afterwards, having refined the pulling technique, we got single pulls and they fell one by one.

Next was the Flier, which got kicked out of the air then taken apart. Didn't find this mysterious 'Beacon' I'd heard about, but oh well.

The Towers were taken down the good old fashioned way. Phantom Army makes an excellent and perfect foil to Recluses insane buffs. With Recluse only occasionally killing us we could concentrate our own attacks on the techs as they spawned and knock out the towers. We went Green then Yellow. PA's lost recluse at that point and he ran around ganking us. A quick re-group, then it was on to tower Red and Blue. Afterwards all on Recluse for Standard AV beat-down and then drinks and Martini's in Pocket D to celebrate 'Saving the World' for another day.

Bwahahahaha. Nice. You failed and call it a tie. Make you feel better?

Oh, I've tied the LRSF twice and retired my villain 'unbeaten' by the toughest SF in the game.

the towers seem color corrdinated for health, damage, accuracy, and endurance.

some say starting with red and going clockwise is good

i've been wanting to try red, yellow (damage/acc, to debuff LR for tankability reasons) blue, then green (end/health)

although, i think blue is actualy buffing LR with speed boost. need to look over it again and see exactly what buffs are given

=O.o=

Why are people making a big deal of how I am keeping score? Of course it's not going to be every time he knocked me down, I got back up again! Does he get up? No. Recluse stays on the ground curled up whimpering for his mommy.

So, My Record stands pure and clean! Tundara 4, Recluse 0.

Other teams I've joined are not so lucky. >.> I suppose I'll be nice and call those two 'draws' losses if you want. I just can't count a STF we should have won if not for people D/Cing as a loss though.

Just finished my first STF. I was leader.

We had a Inv Tank, Ice Blaster, Mind/Kin Controller, Spines/Inv Scrapper, and 4 count em 4 KIn defenders (including me). The troller died for vengeance purposes a lot. I died through stupidity a lot. Everyone else stayed healthy, more or less . It took us slightly under 3 hours, including a 15 minute break before the final mission. All of it except for Aeon and the last mission were dead easy.

Aeon took a while, but we got him in the end. We dropped the Flier twice. Despite getting Scirroco and Black Scorpion at the same time in the same pull, we managed. Lord Recluce was the major cause of party death. But once we had two of the towers down, things went a lot smoother.

It really helps to have veterans on your team to let you know what to expect!

We attempted the Statesman Task Force and did relatively well up until the end, when we failed.

Our make-up consisted of:

3 Scrappers, all of whom had sets I cannot remember to save my life.
1 Invuln/SS Tank
1 Rad/Rad Defender (myself)
1 Fire/Fire(?) Blaster
1 Mind/Empathy Controller
1 Illusion/Kinetics Controller

As a note, we had 4 versions of Leadership stacked together, though not everyone had them on at all times. Everyone was level 50. The TF starts with Statesman, who is standing on a Longbow boat in IP. He was shorter than I expected.

The first mission, Destroy Web Parts, consisted of an outdoor zone near Grandville. You get there via a convenient Longbow submarine right next to Statesman's ship. You must destroy 40 'Web Parts', which are mostly just cables of various sizes that blow up in a satisfying Mayhem Mission way. There are more than 40 cables available so you aren't going for a 100% destroy rate. It'd be nice to see this applied to other missions as well (an Organbega mission where you need only arrest X number of Circle of Thorns, rather than a defeat all). After destroying some parts near the deployment zone with zero opposition, we then moved into the web facility itself down a huge ramp. The mobs were all level 50, though the spawns were large. Once we blew up the last part, we got a cut scene involving Arbiter Sanders (Arch Villain) trapping us in the facility (upon retrospect, we should have saved the last web part until we weren't in the middle of a fight). Sanders had a gigantic swarm of guys with him with ambushes that came along during the battle. With 2 Controllers, along with my psi-speced epic set, we were able to control the huge swarm of bad guys without much trouble. Our team was pretty disorganized but we more or less rolled over this mission.

Overall, a very enjoyable mission.

The second mission was to capture Dr. Aeon. You employ the time honoured villain trick of using your portal room to appear near /his/ portal room. Thus, this mission is in Peregrine Island at Portal Corp. You first appear in a Portal-esque laboratory set and are treated to a cut scene as soon as any member moves forward from the mission entrance. In it, Dr. Aeon flees through his portal, making it clear you have to chase after him. Unless you're on a speed run, be kind and wait for all members to get into the zone before triggering the scene. At any rate, you follow him through the portal without needing to kill any bad guys. You appear in a beautiful Arachnos-style laboratory - not the ugly lag fest that is normal Arachnos labs, but rather the standard labs with an Arachnos skin on it, similar to Longbow bases. Very pretty, though the mini-map had a lot of missing pieces to it. You are treated to another cut scene. This one is longer but hilarious. Your mileage may vary, but I loved it. The laboratory leads to an outside area which is a version of Recluse's Victory, stylized in its Villains Win scenario.

The cut scene makes it clear you must defeat four Arch Villains scattered throughout the Recluse's Victory map: Regent Korol, Mu'Drakhan, Shadow Spider, and Viridian. Mu'Drakhan was just outside the entrance near a Pillbox. Korol was just under the gigantic Recluse statue that takes the place of Atlas. Shadow Spider was northeast of the statue, and Viridian was behind City Hall near the blue boundary wall. With group invisibility we were able to skip all the mobs in between and just defeat the AVs. I'm not sure if it was a lack of 'avoid' type powers (Burn patches, caltrops, etc), but none of the mobs scattered or ran away, and so we surprisingly had no adds. Having the aforementioned 2 Controllers probably helped here as well.

We defeated the four Arch-Villains and returned home. Another excellent mission.

The third mission uses the submarine in IP again. Your assignment is to find a power that will be able to prevent Dr. Aeon from fleeing again, and to make him vulnerable. The power of choice is the nexus from the Tree of Thorns that you fight in the Villain Respec Mission. The mission starts you outside, however, in an instanced version of the area outside the Thorn Tree door. This is the outdoor Circle map with the circular island, a gigantic pit in the middle, bad guys all over, and thorny vines and altars scattered about. You must get to the door that leads inside to the Oranbega. Most annoying was that you didn't know which door would take you inside to the rest of the mission. There are /many/ doors, and neither the mission map nor the mission description tells you which one it is. All the doors aside from the correct one gives the 'You cannot enter' message. This would have been even more annoying if we didn't have Group Invisibility. For the record, the correct door was directly south and very slightly east of the central altar inside the pit.

Once you get inside the door to the Oranbega, it's just like running the Villain Respec. Indeed, you even run across a group of Boss level custom Rogue Isles villains halfway through fighting to the tree. Nice touch. Their position was at the bottom of a multi-level room, though, which caused an accidental agro which killed several of our heroes. Once we knew they were there, though, we mopped the floor with them. Another bit of annoyance with this mission was that, from inside the Oranbega, recalling a friend from outside near the mission entrance was out of range. Tough given we group invised our way past all the outside mobs in the first place.

The actual Thorn Tree itself was fairly annoying. The Villain respec doesn't get as much action as the hero one used to due to the many other methods of getting respecs these days, and so our team was not very experienced at it (including me). For those who haven't done it, it's a giant circular room with rocks all around. There are CoT in the outer most rim of the room, 80 vine bad guys closer towards the middle, and the Arch Villain Thorn Tree itself in the middle. The AV can't be killed until all 80 vines are destroyed. Indeed, you cannot even target it with a power (so no laying down debuffs on it). Furthermore, the vines will respawn if you aren't quick, so it is a race to kill all 80 and then the tree itself before they do. Once one single vine respawns, the AV is invincible again. Plus, the tree AV will snipe at you while you take out its vines, and it deals out mega damage. If it targets you and you are a squishie, you are probably dead. Worse, if you get rezzed in the same spot, the tree will often still be agroed on you and will kill you again. Accordingly, either recall friend to safety before getting rezzed, or move your butt out of its line of sight ASAP.

We were disorganized at first and killed vines willy nilly. I've heard differing strategies on whether you should split up to kill vines or stick together. We finally just stuck together and it worked out. Once we destroyed the AV, there was a glowie to click to end the mission. Whoever clicks it will receive the important temp power that makes Dr. Aeon vulnerable in the next mission, so give it to someone who can hang back and not die. I took it in this case.

Overall, crashing a Villain Respec is a great idea, though recall friend being out of range, no indicator for which door to enter, and the Thorn Tree in general were all a bit annoying.

In the fourth mission you go after Dr. Aeon again. Accordingly, it takes place in a version of Cap au Diable, which is nice to see when you're a hero. Your mission: 1. Find the security chief in the outdoor area in order to gain access to the lab. 2. Enter the lab and fight through the first four levels, each of which has a villain sidekick AV in it (Wretch, Silver Mantis, etc). 3. Use the temp power on Dr. Aeon and beat him down.

Finding the security chief was remarkably difficult, as there are many bosses labeled as 'Security Chief?' and you don't know which one it is you need to kill. The spawns are huge and we had a lot of ambushes. Plus we didn't stick together as many ventured off to find more Security Chief?s. Again our Controllers helped out a ton. After killing four or five fake Security Chiefs we finally found the right one and headed inside. It was frustrating trying to find the right guy. It was at this point one of our Scrappers bailed, which was a shame since she seemed to be the only one that had done the TF before.

The inside map is an Aeon version of the lab tile set, but with all new rooms. Nice. Very small levels, but each has an AV. They all have nice dialog when they fight, too (Silver Mantis is a creepy gal). Ice Minstral used Glacier on us, which nailed a bunch of our squishies and nearly turned the tide, so stand back if you can. Barracuda used a stun AoE nova type power, so same deal. Silver Mantis has some kind of unstoppable thing going for her but otherwise wasn't an issue. Wretch was a cinch though if I recall from other missions he does have a nova.

Finally you fight Dr. Aeon, who is way tougher than in other incarnations. He is an AV with a forcefield around him which can only be taken down by using the temp power you got from the Thorn Tree. It has crap range and takes ages to recharge. I made the mistake of starting with it which just got be slapped down. Dr. Aeon will summon a squad of Elite Boss versions of himself, making it a very tough battle. We had some defeats before taking him down. In the victory we didn't really do anything different from our losses, so we more or less chalked it up to lucky hits from Aeon.

Overall, a decent mission, though finding the Security Chief was frustrating. The AV battles were great.

The fifth and last mission was to kill Recluse's four lieutenants (Ghost Widow, Scirocco, Black Scorpion, and Cap'n Mako), the Arachnos Flier, and then Recluse himself. This takes place in Grandville. There were a bunch of mobs in the way but we bypassed them with travel powers and invis. The four AVs are standing in the middle of Grandville in the area where the level-up Arbiter, the Reputation gal, and the Quartermaster stand. We tried many methods to pull them one at a time but simply couldn't do it. We had a nice corner, but would always get at least 2 AVs. We probably could have handled that, but shortly after the other 2 AVs would always agro on us, even from very far away. They'd zip in and kick our butts. After trying and failing this a bunch of times, we finally gave up. Having read up on how others were pulling, I'm not sure what we were doing wrong. We had group invis for our pulls, and I know at least once we tried a snipe, but each time we'd shortly get all 4, and they would wipe us out.

Tough to gauge the mission since we didn't complete it, but there's got to be a better way of fighting these guys. I'm not really a fan of any mission that forces you to do this anyway, though, since it doesn't seem very comic bookish.

Overall, the task force is shaping up to be a very interesting one. All the missions were unique. We took a fair bit of time getting to where we were, and this was with skipping just about everything we could with group invis and the like. I don't know how long it takes to fight the 4 AVs, the Flier, and Recluse, but given there's only 5 missions, it's remarkably long. I ended up with a bunch of recipes, though interestingly I only got 2 enhancements throughout - and one was a DO for some reason. Once we get that pulling problem licked this is going to be a fantastic task force.

I was just on a team composed of
invul /?? tank
Stone/Stone tank
MA/SR scrapper
Claws/Regen scrapper
ill/rad controller
Ill/kin controller
?? blaster (I totally forgot his set - Eng/?)
Peacebringer (human form)

First missions were easy, only near TPK we get is when we aggro Aeon a few seconds before we're actually ready. Defeat him, move on. We get to the final mission.

We pull Black Scorpion. Scorpy goes down like a pile of kleenex.

We pull Mako next.

...45 LONG minutes of whaling on Mako later, we give up in disgust as Mako seems to go into elude every 20 seconds, making us lose all the headway we'd made just before that. Did I mention some of us had been saving shivans for Recluse (though I doubted we'd need them) and even two didn't do crap?

Actually, my husband corrects me; there were three out at one point. And I'm fulcrumshifting every chance it's up. Nothing doing.

Given that I'd just completed this TF with nowhere near this trouble yesterday with Tundara, I'm screaming 'bug' on Mako. This was in no way a challenge as I'd define it, and certainly wasn't fun.

STF completed this morning:

Team make up:
Myself (on my Dark/Regen Scrapper)
Scrapper #2
3 Trollers (3 kins)
2 Def (Emp and Rad)
Tank (Invul/SS)

First few missions flew by - other then one group dc and restart but those were done in about 45-60 mins. Lost our tank for almost the entire set since he had to reboot his system but he came back in time for last mission.
Last mission = PAIN!!! We wiped a couple times with Mako and Scorp and Sricc, then finally pulled with our tank invis and got Mako and Scorp. Both went down fairly easily, then we took out Sricc as he attacked at end with Scor, then GW (Scrappers feel pretty worthless in that battle - run in hit run out repeat). Flier went down in less then a minute and started working on Red Tower while our Ill Troller kept Recluse busy - wiped a couple times when the troller lost aggro or got cornered but finally took the red tower down then started on yellow. Wiped once more, came back, started to take flier down. . . And massive DC!!!

7 of the 8 of us came back to the last mission reset and decided to give it a go (minus one troller). Took out the av's with only minimal trouble, flier next, then red, yellow, green towers. . . All that was left was recluse so we left the blue tower up and hit him all at once. Everyone was one him even after he summoned all the Bane Spiders and we finally took him down.

total time was about 4.5 hours but I think with practice this team could have taken the entire tf in about 2 hours. We also had one of our defenders stall out everytime he tried to zone into the last mission until after 10 tries he rebooted his system and played in safe mode.

Lots of fun and definitely a great thing! Thanks team for sticking with it even through all the issues!

Oh yeah forgot about the drops: Not everyone was as lucky as myself but ended up with 10 recipes (6 common, 3 uncommon, 1 rare), 22 bits of salvage (mostly common and a few uncommon), tons of inspirations, and only 4 SOs!!! Other then the terrible so drops not to bad.

Invul/fire.

And the blaster was elec or energy.

We just had no way of buffing our accuracy or debuffing his defence any further. We even tried to grab a whole bunch of yellows from the arena at one point, and that didn't seem to do much good either.

I'm starting to wonder, how many teams that found Mako to be not too much of a problem had geas or stacked tactics?

I don't believe anyone on Tundara's team yesterday had tactics.

And we were on the boat - we got a tactics buff then from somoene or something. I noticed the accuracy icon in my power line while we were hammering away at him, and I checked.

But that was just wrong. The rad controller was debuffing, I was debuffing, we had two sets of pets on him, plus two scrappers and two blasters (actual blaster and pb) ...and nothing.

I don't think we got him below the final 20 percent, at any time. And of course, his elude lets him heal it all right back thanks to the regenning.

We gave it a good college try, though. *thumbs up*

Uh... Rad... We got Mako in the end... And we weren't on the boat fighting him... And I'm all confused now.

But yeah, the trick to getting past Mako is Tactics, Geas, Mid-Big Yellows, Dropping shivans BEFORE he eludes. If the Shivan can't hit Mako, they can't apply the -Def Debuff. Or, you could get a bajillion +Acc set bonuses. Those will help too.

First as far as pulling the AV's when I did it today we had one blaster with snip 6 sloted with range HO's so he was able to pull nicely.

But with out that what we did once just to try it was to Tele-snip, that is have a blaster at the very max of his range start to snip and then have someone teleport him away just after he fires off his snip.

We did this while everyone was waiting back at the ship, we were able to pull just one AV at a time and none of the others fallowed after. Also on the plus side if you at the ship the Npc's and the ships guns will help you, and the hospital is just a step or two away so if you die you just hit the hospital before you even hit the ground and run right back into the fight.

As for the Last 4 LT. AV's I think their set way to high, on an 8 man team running at Heroic they con'ed at 54 I think running on Heroic they should con at 52 max, save the level 54's for the groups that want to run at a higher rep. Speaking of rep has anyone ran it on a higher level then heroic and if so do the AV's spawn at 55 or higher?

We failed after fighting Macko for 45 minutes with out ever geting him down past 25% health.

Our team was a:
Stone tank
Fire Tank
Blaster
2 Scrappers
PB
Ill/kin controller
Ill/Rad controller

2 scrappers
1 blasters
2 trollers
2 defender

next team
1 invul/stone
1 stone/mace
2 blasters
2 scrappers
1 rad defender
1 illusion emp

This task force is challenging.

The maps are actually different and fun.

The first missions are doable and have some challenges to them.

I hadn't ever seen the villain respec so totally loved the Thorn Tree mission.

Dr. Aeon is challenging the Stone Tank said to never let a Stone tank get the temp power, something about his set and the recharge time on the power.

Then dun dun dun the last mission.
the AV's Spawn at level 54 in the last mission.

The Stone tanker said exactly what i have been expecting someone to say. This needs more rads and just a stone tanker.
I'm thinking that it will end up becoming like the LRSF where you see posts on the boards about how masterminds made a team and stalkers made a team. Because on regularity they don't get invited to LRSF.

Where if it was a balanced TF accounting on all sets then it would be more of a good thing for the WHOLE of the player base archetypes.

Neither team completed the TF. The first night people were frustrated by the amount of time it took and then the server dc'd.

Tonite Mako would be near 1/4 health hit elude and heal himself.
We pulled him to the ship and it didn't help.

I'd do this TF again however I'd want a team make up where everyone is patient enough to go out and get shivan's before the end mission instead of rushing to the end point. Then getting frustrated when the end point is unachievable because of the AV's.

I see and hear often about how people can't defeat Mako. The trick is to treat him like you are in PvP. That means Tactics, Focused Acc, Yellows, and anything that buffs to-Hit or debuffs Def.

My recommendation, before starting the final mission, everyone should purchase or get 4-8 Yellow pills. These will give you enough +Acc to break through his Elude long enough to counter his regen rate so you don't enter an Elude Loop.

I wonder if the people on the boat contain enough Longbow Officers to let you kill him with their Leadership. Maybe that's the trick.

After trying this TF a bunch of times, I'm beginning to think it's coming down to the final mission and the patrons as make-or-break time. The irritating thing about it is, your team can smoke through the first four missions with no problems, and be totally unsuited to get past certain patrons. (ie. no geas, no tactics, no vengeance, no aim+buildup)

And so far, it's been pretty much pentad teams.

Which is beginning to lead me down the LRSF frame of mind. "Maybe I should be pickier with who I pickup for STF teams... " "What if...I found 6 defenders and 2 tanks..." (You probably only need one stoner, but for splitting aggro purposes, it's just handy.) That's a dangerous mindset...

All the ranged damage should cut through Ghost Widow, I'm sure there'll be at least one fulcrum shifter to add onto our general damage, and if there isn't a rad and dark around for debuffs and emps for fortitude, I'll be surprised. And there's the possibility of stacked tactics and vengeance for Mako...

I wonder if I can persuade any RO'ers to try this?

Ok gonna quote myself from the thread I have in the i9 forums...:

[ QUOTE ]
w00t! Finally finished the STF for once! We had a great team, and alot of great players!

Here is the team make-up-

Spines/Regen Scrapper
Claws/Regen Scrapper
Sonic/Sonic Defender
Emp/Rad Defender
FF/Rad Defender
Emp/Energy Defender
Stone/EM Tanker
Fire/Kin Controller

We had a great time doing this whole TF and it was way easier with this team than it has been with all the others.

Basic Strategy -

We all grouped up in front of an AV and got all buffed up. Then either me, or the Stone tanker would go in and take alpha for the AV, and its group. Kill them all, rinse and repeat.

Once we got to Aeon we used a little more strategy. We buffed up, and then our Sonic/Sonic died for us to Double Veng. Rezzed him and beat the tar out of Aeon. Simple.

For the AV's in the final mission, that everyone affectionately called the "Inner Circle" ( =P ), we cleared all the way up to the AV's and summoned Shivans, buffed them and the rest of us as well. Sent in the Stone tanker, and myself to take the Alphas.

Here is how it went down. I on my Scrapper called out who to attack. We first focused on GW, she healed at the start of the fight, but following that she didn't touch it again. With all of us wailing on her we got her down to nothing in about - 2 mins.

Next I called on Mako to die, and with the make-up of our team, and all the defs running assualt and tactics with our buffs... His Elude was nothing, put simply he died in about a minute. And without noticing, but from all the AoEs we had, Scirrico went down at the same time. The fight with Black Scorpion was easy since there was nothing left to distract us all.

Then came the Flyer - Of course this was easy, but it was funny to watch the thing flop to the ground, we all just used our immobs on it and it fell to the ground - Straight into a pumelling.

Then we made our way to Lord Recluse. I instructed one of the Emps, and the Stone tanker to hold off Lord Recluse while the rest of us went in and killed the Power Transfer Towers. This was amazingly easy. I say that because The ambushes would go straight to our controller and get stunned/held/immob/FS'd/killed without much trouble from the Tower Team.

Then when the towers where down, we headed to Recluse, and summoned Shivans. He went down fairly fast considering we spent so much time taking out the towers. Minor annoyance was the respawn of the Arachnos Flyer. We took that out right after LR.

Then BOOM! Mish ended, and I got a recipe for Tech Wings, followed by a Fear/End IO recipe.

Great TF!

In the end it comes down to Having either a trunk load of +acc and +defence to withstand the final 4 AVs (Patrons) or having alot of Rads. I honestly prefer the whole 2 emps, 1 ff, 1 sonic, 1 kin, 1 tanker and 2 scrap thing. It was by far the most fun team I have had, and we finished it without a single person dropping.

Finished one successfully with purposeful looking out for varied buffer/debuffer types.

Invul/ tank
Dark/ def
Rad/ def
Ill/rad cont
Emp/ def
Elec/ blaster
2 scrappers

We had tactics, vengeance and pretty much blew away the patrons. Missions 1-4 were finished in 80 mins or so.

We stalled a little on the towers, mostly because I was unable to tank Recluse without unstoppable on and an empath joined at the hip. Which is about 3 mins leeway at best.

Hit the red first, killed it. Attempted to tank Recluse without unstopp with the red gone, and got blown up for my troubles, the nice emp dying along with me. Learned better, and stuck with unstopp. The red tower got rebuilt.

We switched to the yellow to try and knock his accuracy out so that everyone's acc debuffs could land on him and keep him less able to kill me. That seemed to work a bit better, dodging a bit more, but still not able to tank him reliably without unstopp.

Even tried pulling the flyers' cohorts at one point to surround me in an invincibility defence shield. Didn't quite work. One lucky hit and bang, went down.

Slowly, steadily we got the other towers down, in between unstopp crashes where sometimes, we managed to recover - heralding a crazy period where everyone would be trying to catch my hp bar up before Recluse brought it down - or me just dropping dead, leaving Recluse to wreck massive carnage on the tower destroyers.

Got him in the end, but it took quite a while. Like twice as long as missions 1-4. Can't help but wonder how much faster it would have gone if I had been stone/ instead.

And I'm not sure I even want to think about how ice/ and fire/ tanks fare...
