o.o wow, thats the forth change to that webpage today..
^^;; and as to the "new" section of PC games... I think the two I visitied physically had something in the new section that wasn't over a half yr old.. but I'd really have to check the dates since it was close... (cov and oblivion where both "new" pc games..)

I ordered mine when it -was- in stock, and already have the confirmation that it's shipped and will arrive Monday or Tuesday at my house.
I think they ACTUALLY sold out of the copies, and didn't just SAY they're sold out.
Which both impresses and frightens me.

Yep. I too received an e-mail confirmation from Walmart saying that both my copies of Good Vs. Evil has shipped. Sounds like Walmart actually did sell out of their inventory.
....thier online store sold out. this in turn means that individual brick and morter stores should still have their own stock. which still leads us back to square one.~

Actually based on what everyone's been saying about this today to hear them being "out of stock" doesn't surprise me at all.
If I had to speculate the whole problem all along seems to be one of supply, as in like they only managed to print maybe a quarter of what they expected to have available by today. Perhaps the company involved with the mass boxing and distribution ran into trouble and there was simply not enough to go around.
At least this theory fits the facts of how a few people seem to have gotten lucky today while most of us didn't. I'm sure within the next few days we'll have a better idea one way or another.

That's not the point Clint. It wouldn't matter if it only came with a jellybean with Statesman's face on it...it was promised in plain text that we'd be able to purchase the game on a set date. As many have said, if they want to make something "exclusive" to a particular vendor, make damned sure that vendor can hold their end of the bargain. I lay blame on both NCSoft and WalMart. NCSoft for making WalMart the exclusive vendor in the first place (fer cryin' out loud people, they are NOT what you'd call a major game retailer) and WalMart for not really giving enough of a crap to get the game out when they had agreed they would.
It's not always about the shiny Clint, sometimes it's the principle. Like it or not, this has put a very bad taste in many people's mouths.

It's already out of stock online?!? Wow, I am glad I ordered mine in the morning. The confirmation and UPS tracking number says it should get here on Monday. And that was the cheapest shipping rate. I have to think that there was some sort of production snafu for it to be sold out so quickly.

The people at NCSoft and Cryptic are super nice people with great intentions, but have managed to bumble the execution of pretty much most of the releases with dates, codes, conflicts (raise your hand if you had CoV issues)
My 2 influence, until they slot and buy accuracy SOs for their Operations team, they should stop pre-announcing stuff, including releases, until they are on the shelf or on the test server. They mean well trying to pump us up, but the bigger let down when the bumble, which they historically do, causes a bigger ill will and unhappiness over all.
Come on guys - time to get some Ops people who have some real experience - seriously.

As much of a fan of the game as I am, this is QFT.
I work with the Ops people at my job quite a bit, and they are always the most organized and "in-touch" people at the company. The team at NCSoft just seems to drop the ball often. Especially for a company that has a fairly limited release schedule in America.

I've looked around for info on the Pocket D Tiki Teleport from anyone who actually got the GvE edition. All I can find is a bit of info suggesting the "interrupt time" is ~15 seconds.
Has anyone gotten any info on the recharge timer? I'm curious to know how often it can be used. Either my search-fu is weak (quite possible) or no one has talked about it.

I demand a public response on the delay and subsequent non-existance or knowledge there of concerning this "Box set" in Wal-mart stores!
I want to know whose fault it is and whose to blame. I had to put in vacation time for this expansion and it's non refundable.
I count on your "websites" to keep me abreast of changes like this.

Assuming the Pocket D badge is an accolade a 30 minute recharge timer would put it on par with the other accolade powers which makes sense. This will make it useful when needed but keep it from being easily used as a PvP "eject" button all that often if ever.
Of course when I get it I'll likely keybind that power to Alt+d.

It's not at my local Walmart but I can't bring myself to care.
Feel free to get yourself all worked up though... there is a good cardiovascular workout in angst; if you try hard enough.
Honestly I think someone along the supply line really screwed the pooch on this one. I called all 9 stores on long island and NONE of them had it, I even asked if they had it in at any point and they said no. I even went to the 4 that are closest to me and lo and behold, nothing, not even a tag on the shelf. On top of that its not being sold at the ncsoft store as far as I can tell.

It provides, mainly, a boost to your jump. It does make fly, ss, and sj go faster, but it only lasts for 30, then has something like a 2.5 minute recharge. It is no-where near a REPLACEMENT for travel powers.

They SHOULD pump us up, get us excited. We like previews, we crave more material, and we delight in being excited. We're geeks. C'mon. And hyping stuff up is good for business.
They just need to get their crap together and deliver on time. It's hard, yeah, but it's worth it. If everything had been working as it should have been, NCSoft and Walmart would have made a pretty penny off of all this. As it stands right now, the cash flow is an uncertain trickle and I'm sure a few have decided not to buy it at all.
Not saying it's a disaster, doom, NCSoft is going to go under, but that if they had done things right, they would have made more money than doing it this way

I really have to question the wisdom of this Wal Mart exclusivity deal. Aside from the complete screw up that the release has been, I don't think this was a smart decision. How likely is your average Wal Mart customer to play MMOs? I would submit that they are far, far, less likely to be into MMOs than people who shop in places like EB Games and the like. Just because Wal Mart has a wide reach, I don't think its really going to reach the sort of audience that is interested in MMOs.
