I punched a lot of math around. Can I get some criticism of this?
The planned attack chain is Follow Up, Strike, Slash, Spin, Strike, Slash. Overall DPS should be 133; she comes out endurance positive by 1.4 end per chain, the chain's an infinite loop, Spin runs every 8.33 seconds, I'm squirmingly pleased. The minor +end will go into something fun like Sands, I guess. I'd just rather come out over a little than under at all.
Dropping Focus made everything a lot easier to put together in terms of slots, time and endurance. All SOs are +3.
Tweaks welcome, just remember I can't afford stuff like Miracle and LotG. Scathing teardowns welcome too.

Morbid_Star, it started out as "this is the level where the Prestige/Inf balance is closest" conversation and turned into a numbers challenge. Now it's way past a functional thing and into "let's play like the level cap was suddenly 24".
Heraclea, I dig. I do like the pair of self heals in Regen. The regen is just barely higher in my Regen build compared to Will; that one comes down to Rise vs Dull Pain and Reconstruction. OTOH, Will has some punch in the def/res department. -
Well, the scaling regen rate of Rise To The Challenge seems pretty absurd. I'm poking around now with the build posted above, and a Claws/Regen, and it seems like slots are harder to come by in a /Regen build. Either way, though, it looks like the best defense is going to be a good offense, because I can't seem to get a fun attack chain together without Stamina and Quick Recovery.
Heraclea, that build looks pretty hardass, but when I say cheap, I mean under 5k per or so. Luck of the Gambler +7.5 are out of reach at any level for me; I don't even have those on my 50. Right now the last 5 level 25s on Virtue sold for over 100 mil. I don't mean to step harshly, but there it is. I'm maintaining so many alts I've yet to see 3 mil in one place at one time since I hit 50. -
The decision between Tough or Health and Stamina is mostly an argument over whether or not she can run without pause without Health and Stamina. I would like to go with Tough if I could, but I'm a big fan of wading into Murderworld and looking up an hour later with 'Where did the time go?"
Edit: Wow, working out a perfect attack chain is making my eyes bleed. I don't have it all the way pinned down, but I think I'm going to have to keep Fitness. -
Poking around in Hero Builder I'm most impressed by Claws/Will at 24 so far, only pool taken being fitness. To re-arrange the conversation: what beats Claws/Will as per my above reqs?
E: f, b. Cool. Claws is appealing for the 'everything's fast' part; I'm hoping to get away with no Hasten and a recharge in just Spin and Followup. -
What's the best damage and smash/lethal survivability available at level 24? I want to build a toon whose xp gain will be turned off at 24 for thematic reasons. I'll play any sets as long as it says 'Scrapper' at the top (although I'm a touch sick of a katana). Common IOs and cheap set IOs only, my budget is currently hammered. This toon will probably see some farm time when she's not swanning about making moon-eyes at important people, so AoE is my priority for damage output; also, I'm not worried about a travel pool.
Any advice? -
On some parts of the CoX website and load screens, I see the "Best played on Nvidia" and on my AE retail box, the same, but for ATI. Which GPU are the devs actually building for nowadays? I want to assume ATI since it's on the most recent retail offering, and the load screen stuff is just outdated.
Ok, so it's obvious I guess, but I want to be reassured, it's been really bugging me at load screens all weekend. -
What are the differences between dual-core and quad-core other than the obvious hurr-hurr-more-cores?I mean, differences in what practical people need/use them for?
-
No brand preference, unless CoX's listed brands actually apply.
Regarding overclocking, I want the later ability to do it, I don't need to now. I know there are boards and processors which are unsuitable for overclocking, and I'd like to stay away from those, but I don't need anything more a proc+mobo and basic heatsink+fan for the moment. -
I hope this is posted in the right place. I remember this sort of advice from the forums, but where? Arg?
So my PC is maggot-ridden and smells of peat. I get by fine most of the time solo, but with more than 3 or so teammates in a mash-up, I dip into a kaleidescopic reel of frozen explosions and still-framed glimpses of faces in torment. I miss Task Forces.
I haven't built a PC in so long that my flint knapping hammer is probably hopelessly outdated; I'm confident with fitting together the fiddly bits, but I could really use some stalwart assistance making purchase decisions in this brave and hideous new world of multi-core monsters. CoX is the game I want to build for; I like a number of other games, but none of them will be seeing another 5 years playtime. Plus, any hardware that pretties up CoX should do me at least middlin' on anything else.
So, I have a case, a harddrive, and a budget. I need a microATX board for the case, but the case will hold nearly any video card and a standard power supply. I'd prefer to be able to overclock at least reasonably. Needed:
microATX motherboard
processor
RAM
video card
psu
cooling
advice
Thus, with CoX in mind, Intel? AMD? ATI? nVidia? I had some brand loyalty once, but I was young. Forgive me. The budget is $500, and could change if some wild advice puts steel in my spine.
For the curious, the case is a Qmicra Qv2E, and the harddrive is a 30g SSD OCZ Vertex (with one of my old platter drives for file storage). -
Which mish is this anyway? And what others are worth farming? I'm old and I don't know what's good in this brave new world.

Pad, you're just saying that 'cause you got your copy already. :-P
I know, I know, you're still right. -

I know things happen like this in the business world all the time.

Yeah, jeez, if I had a job where my deadlines were completely negotiable and only had to be met with "as good as I could do", I'd be set for life. Where do I sign up?
Also, when I pay for "1-day shipping" on the 29th I expect my package to arrive on either the 30th or the 1st, depending on what time of day I ordered it, not the 3rd or 4th. If they can't even mail it until two days from now at the earliest, they should be listing it as "3-day shipping". Call me old-fashioned, but I just bought a pair of shoes in the morning last wednesday from Montana and had them on my feet thursday afternoon. THAT'S 1-day shipping. -
Walmart's confirmed not selling it until the 9th. None of my 24-hour Walmarts have it, and they told me on the phone with Merchandising and Customer Service (both supervisors) that they weren't selling it until the 9th, which I just had confirmed for me in-store (supervisor again). It's not a question of "Oh I don't know when it's going to be in." it's "Yes, this will be out on the 9th."
What happened? -
I'm throwing a 429 error when I hit "Generate Binds". Ideas?
