I don't think all you people actually know how difficult this SF really is. You're going to have people failing more often then passing. Consider how often a Hami raid fails compared to this. Then consider if you need help in a Hami raid you can always bring more people. You're stuck with your 8 person team in this SF. If you didn't bring what is needed you're out of luck.
The only reason my team walked through this so easily is because we have almost the perfect setup played by highly skilled players coordinating our efforts almost perfectly. And we still had a hard time. I really doubt that most teams will be that good; let alone bring the right powersets.

Also, you were all coordinating verbally, right? Via Ventrillo or Teamspeak? Seems like having a PuG attempt this will be even that much harder voice-less.

I wondered the same thing. Given my schedule, it'll be extremely unusual for me to even have a big enough block of time to even attempt to tackle this SF, but given a rare vacation day I might want to do it twice. It'd be good to know what the exact rules are.
And there really ought to be some type of in-game indication of when you're in the "prohibited zone." I'd be furious if I invested 3-4 (or more) hours then didn't get my SHO. Oh, and while I'm putting together a wish-list, consider me /signed for getting to pick the SHO rather than getting a random drop.

I can see a role for Dominators in this SF; it involves perching near the heroes and watching their purple triangles. Spawning all at once, I presume all their Hero resistance will be on the same cycle, so you'll have a few windows when you can mass-sleep the heroes (or even better, Mass Confusion!) Heck, if the colloquial stories are true, one Mind Control user could keep passing around Mesmerize, triangles or not. Aggro management would be the tricky part, of course.
But Stalkers? I'm just not sure what they'd be doing. The Brute's role is obvious, but a Stalker is good for neither buff-tanking or sustained damage. At 30k apiece, I just don't see these guys falling over quickly, so the last benefit of having a Stalker - ending fights in a hurry - just isn't viable here.
The devs are unlikely to drop any hints, though.

Defeating the Vindicators and Freedom Phalanx is so much cooler than Hamidon. That, and some awesome screenies make people want to weigh in on how cool this is. Oh yeah, and all your regular dev digesters will join in anything when a Dev posts.

What I'm concerned about is that it took 5 ice corrs with kin or debufs to do it. What are the chances for getting on teams with builds like that? Looks like Stalkers and Doms could be left out on this very easily. With the devs putting together a mission like this that requires specific powers and builds, all they are doing is promoting discrimination against the builds that don't meet that. At least ANYONE can participate in a Hami raid.

The fact that their primary is ice, was irrelevant at the final battle. Fearsome in PVP for sure... but for the final fight, they weren't doing much attacking.

I really really really hope that stalks get a role in this. Otherwise I'm screwed since I only like stalks.
What I hate about this Strike Force:
__People should realize by now certain powersets are better at certain things.
__In hami raids, a lot of people who wanted more enhancers, rolled up rads and ill controllers. There is nothing stopping you from rolling a corrupter, and after you get SHoe transfer it to your main you care about.
__Life isn't fair, nor should games be. This SF is not required, nor is a lot of content in game. If you choose to do this, you realize it takes a plan and strategy. A lot of players want this more than anything. I wish it remained extremely difficult, because sometimes the game is to easy.
__Future of SF: This SF hasn't been around long enough to determine all the functions that are needed by builds. I can see a role of all at's besides stalkers. I have 2 level 40 stalkers, and I havent even touched them since i7 because of this.

Like I told one of your teammates earlier....get the Flyers on top of Atlas, after you got those kill the ones on the ground..its better compared to facing the entire Phalanx

well for one Back Alley has super jump and jumps up to the top in no time, you look at our travel powers and x2 thats how they seem to move, even if we could get 6 up top they come from all sides so its really hard to debuff and all go at one since some with ranged attacks don't move towards the middle of the globe but stay a ways out and use ranged attacks.... We were trying all kinda of ways to pull them up down left right, i'm sure there are many things we missed but its the 2nd week.... GL everyone and have fun....
