Comic #10

No-one seems to have pointed it out publicly yet, probably because it just went online yesterday, but Comic #10 is up.

Now, page 6. I ask you, my fellow Co*-ites, [censored]? Am I just misunderstanding panel 3 on page 6? That's Numina talking, not Sister Psyche!

Also, page 13. Breasts don't look like that. Especially Swan's. That poor girl appears to be rather bizarrely deformed. I mean, yay for the Vindicators finally showing up, but that panel's got problems.

All in all? 3/5

Yes. Whoever lettered the book should be windwhipped.

Look like many that I've seen. As for Swan's, they do look like that when they're being pushed up. This gets no complaints from me!

This was probably the best book I've read in the past month.

Also, what's Malaise doing around? He went back to evil months, almost a year ago.

Issue 16 made me feel like this.

I agree with you on all the topics.

And I hope Manticore dies.
Don't tell Celtic I said that though.
Or don't tell Manticore.
Or Statesman.
Or any Dev.
Crap.
I'm screwed.

I should edit the post while I can.
But I'm too stupid too.

I think Manticore's betrayal will lead to the formation of Wyvern. I'm not really sure why he decided to take his frustrations out on the Vindicators though, even after they took his side. Someone else brought up in another thread that they thought that Manticore's betrayal will lead to hero and villain crossovers in the game (heroes becoming evil, villains becoming good), which I think would be a very cool tie-in.

You see lots of pairs of breasts that are separate near the chest itself, but merge into one freaky uniboob towards the front?

Also, the Malaise thing suddenly occurred to me this morning. As someone said in connection with the Galaxy Girl backstory fiasco, what's the point of having this huge, authoritative story bible if no-one bothers to read the damn thing?

I think that Manticore is just actually turning evil....working with Lord Recluse or something.

The Wyvern has probably been established for quite some time now...

Read. Especially the last line. Malaise didn't go evil. At least not yet.

yeah, he walks off with the tarantulas at the end, so it looks like he's with them...

I wonder if that will carry over into the game...

So, Finishline and his mentor. Are these player created heroes? If not, why not? I know there is a contest to enter your hero to appear in a comic, but man, there are plenty of characters floating around to use....

A while back there was a contest to feature a mentor/sidekick duo in the comic. These guys would be the winners.

Manticore is the super-impulsive member of the group. He's done something totally insane where it looked like he was betraying everybody before...

Thanks for the link. I thought he turned rogue, but forgot he still does Statesman's bidding. I know a lot of people have posted where they expect Malaise to turn up in the Rogue Isles before CoV launched and may still.

I guess the big thing is that Sister Psyche has a new sidekick and we don't see Malaise around anymore. It is easy to think he turned rogue.

Ah yes, well we all know that Sister Psyche is really a manipulative [censored] so of course she wouldn't want States to get all pissed at her, so she just mind controls the others to say what she wants to say.

His appearance still contradicts Sister Psyche's information which states that Malaise current whereabouts are unknown... (not to mention it was the "old" Malaise, which would be the unstable, if not evil, one).

Course I guess that was before Siren's opened up... I guess he's been hiding out there all this time!

Not to mention both Sister Psyche and Numina have the ability to switch bodies with other people... who can blame Manticore for getting confused?

I don't think Statesman has the authority to strip a hero of his heroin' license. He can certainly kick Manticore out of the Freedom Phalanx, but I think he's overstepping his authority by telling Manticore not to go out and help folks anymore. Also, I believe that snapping Manticore's bow like that counts as willful destruction of Manticore's property, making HIM the criminal!

When you're the captain of a team, you've got the authority to punish team members for violations.

If Manticore accepts the punishment, it's because the alternative is to quit the team. When you're a member of THE elite superhero team of the world, are you going to quit just because your leader got mad and sidelined you for awhile?

Of course, now it looks like Manticore may be doing that very thing... Until next month, anyway...

That's what I said. Statesman has every right to kick Manticore off the team. But he doesn't have any political standing, and he can't revoke Manticore's hero license.

Maybe not, but with the way Statesman views the Freedom Phalanx he can bar him from using his powers while a member of the Phalanx. Basicaly telling him to accept the punishment or quit the SG.

He doesn't? I mean he might not hold an office... But if Statesman pops into city hall and says to the hero rep there. "Hey I'd like it if you did me a favor."

What do you think would happen?

Okay, but Statesman didn't suspend Manticore's hero license. He suspended Manticore from duty along with an explicit order, as a team captain to a team member. Manticore was perfectly free to go off on his own and continue being a legally deputized and licensed hero, as long as he was willing to accept the consequences that would have with his "captain".

Breaking his bow was a bit over the top but Statesman is certainly aware of the fact that Justin keeps dozens of bows around the mansion. The act was primarily symbolic.
