On a related note, where are Luminary and Aurora Borealis? Aren't they Vindicators, too? Were they just sick that day? Despite that not making sense for Luminary, since she's an android?

I don't know about Luminary, but my villain beat the <bleep> out of Aurora last week.

Thanks for the quick reply, Troy!

I agree that only Sean Michael Fish knows for sure.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm just kind of curious as to Sean Michael Fish. Because you generally don't refer to people with three names. We don't say "Troy Montague Hickman" for example. Or "Mercedes Hildegard Lackey". Two names people. Two names.

Yes. For legal reasons, often people need to have themselves referred to by three names so they're not confused with another person with only two names. There is most likely another Sean Fish out there somewhere with his name registered on something. but we all know who we're talking about when we start talking Sean+Fish.

I suppose I'm in a weird mood today. The three name thing always threw me though. I suppose there are a few people who do genuinely want to be called by three names, but I'd wager they were few and far between.

Y'know, if I had three heroines sitting on the porch of my room like that, my mind would suddenly shift to very, very impure very, very quickly.

I still can't veiw it! *cries*

EDIT: I went back and looked over the older issues - everything up to Issue 9 works just fine. Issues 9 and 10 cause my 'net to crap out, which is weird becausue I veiwed Issue 9 just fine when it first came out...

Hmmm...John Wayne Gacy...Lee Harvey Oswald...Mark David Chapman...

I think Sean probably just likes his name. Or maybe there IS another Sean Fish out there. My personal favorite is rock speed guitarist Yngwie J. Malmsteen, who apparently thought he needed to add the "J" to distinguish himself from all the other Yngwie Malmsteens in the rock world.

And how the @#$% did you find out my middle name is "Montague"?

This may also describe why I go by Ryan Dean Cooper.

I've known a couple people who like to have their entire name used. And a few that wanted to completely ignore either their first or middle name. People can be odd.

I, also, have a very hard time beliving that Manticore is going bad. He's obviously trying to use his 'disobedient" image to sucker his way into Arachnos and divine their plans towards Siren's Call.

...And see, here's my problem. Manticore's a smart guy. I have no problem believing that he can outwit your average thug, or even a streetwise gang boss.

But he's going to try and outsmart Lord Recluse. Recluse the mastermind. The guy whose primary power is outsmarting everyone else, all the time.

Here's how I think this conversation should go.

LR: Well, well, if it isn't Manticore. Giving up the hero life, are we?
M: Yup. I'm tired of Statesman bossing me around.
LR: Really. So you've come to me for.. what? Revenge? Petty rivalry?
M: I think revenge sums it up pretty well.
LR: Oh, good. *rubs hands together evilly* I'm sure you'll be a fine asset to the team. Let's start with finances, shall we?
M: Uh, what?
LR: Assets, my dear, assets. Be a good lad and transfer them over to my bank account. Don't worry, I assure you I'll be putting them to good use.
M: Don't you want me to prove myself by, oh, I don't know.. betraying my comrades?
LR: You've already done that.
M: Uh.. Killing Statesman?
LR You've done that too, as I recall. I must admit, I'm a bit jealous, myself. No, no, I assure you, you've proven yourself as adequately as I'll ever need. I'll just need your signatures here, here, and.. here.
M: What? NO! I'm not doing that.
LR: Having second thoughts about joining my merry band? *snaps fingers*
M: Um...
*ominous rustle of weaponry as all the henchmen step out of the shadows*
LR: I thought so. Ordinarily I'd have you sent to the dungeons, but.. heh heh heh... it seems to be full of Vindicators at the moment! I guess I'll simply have to kill you.
*sounds of massive gunfire*
M: *gurgle* *die*
LR: Don't worry. The rest of the Freedom Phalanx will be joining you soon.

Ruin of Iron, hate to agree with you, because it makes for a very anti-climactic plot, but what you say rings true.

On the other hand, I've seen some very contrived stories in movies, books, tv. etc. wherein I WISHED something like what you wrote out would happen, because that's what would realistically happen isntead of what did, and plus, it'd be really funny.

Arc Salvo: Okay hold one sec guys, we can't just rush in blindly vs these Nemesis, they've got these ranged aoe's tha-
Teammate1(charging in): Shut up, Arc Salvo, you lame*$% Viewtiful Joe wannabe! What do you know?!
Teammate2(also charging): yeah, ST#& arc salvo u PWR RANGR U!

*sigh* Yes, but if villains were sensible and intelligent, movies and comic-book series alike would be much, much shorter.

Well, maybe he'll just have to fool a henchie. Someone dumb, like Scorpion or Capt. Mako...
