Machine Teen = Manchine
Photon ArchVillain to Manchine

No-one seems to have pointed it out publicly yet, probably because it just went online yesterday, but Comic #10 is up.
Now, page 6. I ask you, my fellow Co*-ites, [censored]? Am I just misunderstanding panel 3 on page 6? That's Numina talking, not Sister Psyche!
Also, page 13. Breasts don't look like that. Especially Swan's. That poor girl appears to be rather bizarrely deformed. I mean, yay for the Vindicators finally showing up, but that panel's got problems.
All in all? 3/5
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree with you on all the topics.
And I hope Manticore dies.
Don't tell Celtic I said that though.
Or don't tell Manticore.
Or Statesman.
Or any Dev.
Crap.
I'm screwed.
I should edit the post while I can.
But I'm too stupid too.
<Insert DOOOOOM! cry here>

What...what the [censored] is this?!
Do you *want* me to [censored] kill you?
I'll [censored] kill you.
[censored]! I'M-A-GONNA KILL YOU!
Hey Anti_Catwhoorg
Try downloading it and THEN opening (right-click the link and save as) it. It's very likely a problem with the integration of Adobe Acrobat Reader in your browser, or your browser settings. If you insist on viewing it online (which just means that it'll open in Acrobat Reader in the browser window and take a long time), go to settings=>Internet options=> advanced and check "Enable third party browser extensions". I DON'T recommend this, since a lot of unwanted toolbars, spyware, add ware and other nasties use this.
Alternately, and this should fix it, reinstall Acrobat Reader. Don't forget to remove the original installation first.
Can you tell I've done techsupport for too long?

When you're the captain of a team, you've got the authority to punish team members for violations.
If Manticore accepts the punishment, it's because the alternative is to quit the team. When you're a member of THE elite superhero team of the world, are you going to quit just because your leader got mad and sidelined you for awhile?
Of course, now it looks like Manticore may be doing that very thing... Until next month, anyway...
[/ QUOTE ]
That's what I said. Statesman has every right to kick Manticore off the team. But he doesn't have any political standing, and he can't revoke Manticore's hero license.
[/ QUOTE ]
Guys, guys, I mean c'mon, this story is straight from the Superhero Comic-Book Plot Generator(tm).
Y'know, the one where the impulsive, doesn't-follow-the-rules member of the superhero team is publicly kicked out by the straight-arrow leader. The fallen hero ends up associating with a villain organization and even joining it in an apparent attempt at betrayal. Then, at some climactic moment, his true allegiance is revealed and we find that the whole scenario was a ruse to have the hero infitrate the villain's operation to to thwart the evildoer's plan.
Ho-hum. Been there, done that. Sounds like something Statesman would cook up. The man hasn't had an original thought since he came up with his latest costume layout, if you can call that original.

You could be right, but it would be really cool in two issue (and about the time that i7 hits) that Manticore really does go evil and become one of the SF contacts in CoV.
And speaking of TF/SF contacts? How about adding the CoHero signature heroes to PI, the Hollows and FBZ?
That could be fun!
Still here, even after all this time!
I recall a rumor that Manti would switch sides in the comic to coincide with the fall from grace/redeemed villain content becoming available.
It was just a rumor, and I think it was a player that said it, not a redname.
</wild speculation off>
I imagine having an original (good) idea in a comic after 100 years of such must be tough.
You know the saying....there is nothing new under the sun.

I right-click the linkie and stuff, but the "save target as" option is unavailible. Is there any other possible place I could veiw it? Also note: I've had no trouble veiwing the previous comics..

Having an original idea in ANYTHING is tough, but also not really all that important. The trick is in what you do with the idea, those elements of yourself and your style that you bring to it that, hopefully, folks will dig. That's why you have nine million people with "fantastic ideas" who think they can come up with the next big blockbuster, but only a handful of them will ever see fruition. Ideas are cheap; characterization, well-developed characters, sharp dialogue, and story pacing are not.

The DragonLance series is tied as my favorite set of books.
Drizz't is the other set.
What are breasts?
*snicker*
I... was going to comment, but then I looked at Mad Druid's avatar and my brain went blooey. Hm. Now what was it...
Oh yes! I have to agree that this feels more like a "public split done for effect so Manti can get in good with the spiders" thing than an honest switching of sides. If it were just the slide to villainy, he'd have snuck away, not invited Swan, Mynx, and Libby along to witness his betrayal.
That said, I say this: Evil Manticore. Yum. My heroines will convert, my evil villainesses will be cooing. Hey, how do I join that Manticore fan club thing?
Hi folks - on the Malaise issue:
The comics timeline puts that story well after the in-game events of the Calvin Scott Task Force. Malaise is certainly not a pure villain lets say hes a complicated individual. After those events, Ms. Liberty found him and offered him a place in the Vindicators, for they are all about second chances. Yes, Malaise has done questionable things, but the Vindicators believe he can be one of the good guys.
cheers,
Arctic Sun

Then I demand either a story that pairs up Malaise and Aurora Borealis or a heroic trio with the both of them plus Sister Psyche. Let the reality-TV catfight commence.

No, but in the real world, there are no inkers. Where you're seeing "merge into one freaky uniboob," I'm seeing a faint line that separates them all the way to her push-up bra thanks to the colouring.

Also, the Malaise thing suddenly occurred to me this morning. As someone said in connection with the Galaxy Girl backstory fiasco, what's the point of having this huge, authoritative story bible if no-one bothers to read the damn thing?
