I just want to be sure. Are we still going to have?

    War Witch
    JLove
    BAB
    Castle

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Yes.
  2. [ QUOTE ]
If they didn't offer access, no one would buy the game. The game is useless without access. Still don't see how the first month is "free."

    [/ QUOTE ]

You paid $50 for the game, just like you do any other game. GW, NWN2, Age of Empires, ect...

You also get to play for 30 days without having to pay a subscription fee. How is that not free? Unless you are going to argue that the game only cost $35 and you were in fact paying for the first month...

Which doesn't work because just about every game out there and was out there when CoH released cost $50.

When I got CoV, and upgraded my account, I got 30 days of play for free, as part of buying CoV. Once the current billing cycle ran though, it was 30 days from that point before I had to pay again.

So by buying CoH and CoV I got 2 free months of play.
  3. Yeah that's one of the best looking things I've seen around here. Truly amazing.

I had to do a double take on that. It works in two ways...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes, it rather does doesn't it?
  5. [ QUOTE ]
My vote would be from the 10/18 through the 11/6

    [/ QUOTE ]

On the UK news post, linked above, it says to prepare for a fortnight of tricks, treats and other surprises...

IIRC a fortnight is 2 weeks.
  6. [ QUOTE ]
Damn, I can't say how awesome. Literally a word does not exist.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah that pretty well sums it up for me too.
  7. Goodbye and good luck Cuppajo, you will truly be missed.
  8. I wonder if there's either a bug, or perhaps something left unsaid about bonus time.

I've done 3 mayhem missions so far. 1 with my lvl 7 Dom and a lvl 7 brute. 1 with my lvl 27 brute and the lvl 7 brute, so I could get the atlas exp badge. Finaly one solo with my brute.

For the first two we got plenty of bonus time. The solo one however I was only getting bonus time for resisting arrest. I smashed a good dozen or more cars and didn't notice any bonus time. When I ran it with the 2 brutes we seemed to get it every 3-4 cars.

However when I ran it with my lvl 27 brute, the broker in question had no more contacts to give me, and it took 5 newspaper missions to get the mayhem. I wonder if mayhem missions that don't count, because there's no contact to get are different.

I think I'm going to test that today and pay more attention.
  9. [ QUOTE ]
hmm i wonder how that would turn out.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd say the villian is betting they could take out the NPC before they are defeated.

I just noticed that TF commander, doesn't seem to work in conjunction with Dull Pain.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Dull Pain should be based off the max HP without any accolades figured in. It's always been that way as far as I know.
  11. Welcome to the nut... err I mean funhouse, nah who am I kidding, it's a nuthouse here.

    You have the time stamp/link?

    [/ QUOTE ]

It's in the bloody thread. Look it up your damn self.

Here is the link just to end this pointless debate.

I received no PM's at all... Let alone one that says your right. So I'm not sure what you're talking about.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Oh, is that right???

    [/ QUOTE ]

Dude, you really need to try reading the whole thread.

I didn't get a PM, someone else did, and that person did in fact post it. My comment there was based on the post of a PM from Posi.

The PM said, and proves beyond a doubt you are completely off base...

    [ QUOTE ]
All of the Empowerment Stations are self-powered, self-controled. i.e. it's Power use is 0, and it's Control use is 0.

Salvage storage is the same. Enhancement and Inspiration storage does take power and control.

    [/ QUOTE ]
  14. [ QUOTE ]
Umm, I seem to remember ADMITTING I was incorrect regarding being based only buffs.

    [/ QUOTE ]

But you got that opinion based on reading what thought was said, not what was said, and you're doing it again. You have no evidence what so ever that the higher end empowerment stations will require control or power. You're simply jumping to concusions yet again, based on nothing.

    [ QUOTE ]
You received a PM that TELLS you I'm right about the power and control for the storage stations.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I received no PM's at all... Let alone one that says your right. So I'm not sure what you're talking about.

    [ QUOTE ]
that the two new items released at the same time would have the same characteristic.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Jump to what ever concusions you want to. You've done it though out this whole thread.
  15. [ QUOTE ]
    Or simply post it?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    It was posted.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
So unless all of the new items are 100% bought, not craftable

    [/ QUOTE ]

The empowerment stations and salvage storage are at least not craftable, and require no power/control.
  17. [ QUOTE ]
Low-end...items. Last time I checked the low-end empowerment station and salvage rack would count as "items."

    [/ QUOTE ]

Try reading what is writen, not what you think was writen hmm?

    [ QUOTE ]
    What are the empowerment stations?

    * Low-end base items that can give your characters a buff in exchange for Salvage. These base items are self-powered, so even a bare-bones base will be able to install and use it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No where in the above statement are salvage racks or any other type of item mentioned. Sence you're so hung up on what exactly is said, as he mentions nothing but Empowerment stations, and uses the purl "items" that means all types of empowerment stations.

Of course seeing you were the person who refused to believe the buffs weren't PvP because you and you alone read the web artical wrong... I'm not sure why I'm bothering.
  18. [ QUOTE ]
Hasn't it been stated that all of these are self-powered and require no control?

    [/ QUOTE ]

It has been. The empowerment stations and some of the storage units should require 0 control, 0 power, no mater what level they are.
  19. [ QUOTE ]
What type of item is the Empowerment Station?

    [/ QUOTE ]
It's an Empowerment Station item. I.E. it has it's own type, same for the storage vaults I'd assume.

    [ QUOTE ]
Do either of these items take up the space of a crafting table.

    [/ QUOTE ]

They take up floorspace, but not item type slots. So you could put 2 crafting tables and 2 empowerment stations in a 2x2 workshop.

    [ QUOTE ]
While I'm thinking of it, can we get aracen/tech versions of each?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm pretty sure there will be both versions.
  20. [ QUOTE ]
Do the multiple tiers of powerstation do different things like work tables currently, thus forcing us to have 1 of each.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd say maybe. I think the advanced one will give a larger buff then the small one. But it may be worth it to have both depending on what is required salvage wise to run the empowerment station.

    [ QUOTE ]
Also roughly how large will these thngs be?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Based on the screen shot. The basic empowerment stations take up 1/4th of a square. The advanced ones take up 1 square.

So you could easily fit 2 empowerment stations, and 2 work tables in a single 2x2 room, as an example.
  21. [ QUOTE ]
Empowerment Stations occupy the Empowerment slot, not a Workbench slot.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Which I gather means you could put crafting stations, and empowerment stations, and storage stations in the same room. That's quite nice.
  22. [ QUOTE ]
there isn't enough room in the basic superbase to be adding 4 X 4 rooms

    [/ QUOTE ]

If you look at the screen shots, the stations themseleves only take up a small amount of space. The basic ones take up 1/4th of a square, and the big ones take up 1 square. So putting both into a 2x2 room, would leave nearly 3/4th of the room empty.

    [ QUOTE ]
(btw can we get a smaller Meeting room please?!)

    [/ QUOTE ]
We used a 2x2 workshop as a meeting room, prior to upgrading our plot. It's the cheapest room and works quite well as a meeting room.
  23. [ QUOTE ]
    I miss anything?

    [/ QUOTE ]

That sounds like everything to me.
  24. [ QUOTE ]
Assuming they set up another "giant wad of free prestige on test server"

    [/ QUOTE ]

I haven't tried it myself lately... But don't you still get a huge chunk of prestige when making a SG on the test server?
  25. [ QUOTE ]
I have an RP-based SG with about 18-20 members in it.

    [/ QUOTE ]
How many hours a week do you guys play on avg? My SG is smaller then that, and we upgraded our plot not long ago.

Sence CoV launched, we've bulit a base, with 3 telepads, rez chamber, 3 work stations, and a 3x3 RP room, on a 12x8 plot. We currently have something like 350k in the bank...

So if you're gaining prestige so slowly it takes you months to put in a room, you're either doing something wrong, or playing very little, fair has nothing to do with it. Lots of groups have put together nice bases, with a lot less players then you.
