Seriously, both games are missing the "super team" aspect, it's all just gangs led by a couple of supers. Please find a way to do this sort of thing.

[/ QUOTE ]

I totally agree with this. It was one of the most surprising elements for me early in COH. I kept wondering when we would stop fighting "gangs" and start fighting a real superhero team, but I don't think I ever did, from level 1 all the way to level 50.

Maybe they figure that's in the purview of PVP, but if so that's disappointing, given that I don't do PVP.

I'd kill for the "final boss fight" of a Strike/Task Force to be a team of 5 different Boss or Elite Boss level villains/heroes that have witty dialogue, as well as complimentary powers and fighting tactics, instead of just a giant bag of HPs with the ability to one-shot squishies (AVs/Heroes).

[/ QUOTE ]

That . . . would make for the coolest end battle of any TF/SF. Having a spawn made up of an elite boss for every member of the team. Do you have ANY idea how fun that would be?

[/ QUOTE ]
Awesome idea. I suggest that a seperate topic be made for it in hopes of it getting more attention.

Sweeeet!

I ran out of contacts at about 38.3. Almost 2 full lvls of Warburg missions. I never want to see another longbow again. Ever.

States, you know that Heroes also hit an XP wall around level 38 or so. And they have a few more missions to run, and 2 Trials. I think the problem is that for the content we have, we don't gain enough XP.

You know what would be awesome? An actual hero team like the X-men or the JLA, but with the minions provided by a Hero with illusion or self-cloning powers ala the Multiple Man.

[/ QUOTE ]

Speaking of which, it would be excellent to see a Mastermind set which you create duplicates of yourself with a weaker set of powers but an exact copy of the costume you're wearing at the time.

I wholeheartedly agree. Such missions or TFs would also be ideal for the SG/VG mission computer.

I sooo agree on that, I'd love a situation like that. In fact, I've always though personally that it'd be a good endgame content ala hamidon to have to fight all the Praetorians at the same time, with them using powers to complement each other.

I don't mind the CoT--I just loathe that stupid cave tileset. Warehouse, office, bunker, whatever. Just no frickin' caves.

Another consideration with this: If you are Magic origin, you obviously favor CoT newspaper missions to get SOs. Mutants can run Council or Longbow (in PvP zones). The other 3 origins lose out.
In fact, at ANY level, we should be able to find a newspaper group that will give us the right drops.

PLEASE for the love of Ghost Widow....MORE HERO GROUPS!

and some Villain Group Contacts. the most fun missions I've had were the one where I was helping the Freakshow establish a Base on Nerva, Doc Buzzsaw's missions where I was collecting parts to create Tank Smashers, and everything Diviner Maros gave me(particularly the missions where I was working alongside the CoT).

post 25, we should be aligning with the Villain Groups like Freakshow and CoT, not fighting them. we should be FIGHTING Heroes.

my humble opinion of course.

in summary:

More Hero Groups to fight!

More Villain Group(CoT, Freakshow, Council, etc.) Contacts!

pretty please?

"Longbow, Wyvern, and the Legacy Chain are meeting to coordinate their efforts. That would be bad. Stop it."

One of the respecs actually HAS this mission. It is the mission that forced our team into the Sharkhead SF.

Speaking of which, Crypitc, great plotline and missions in that one. I can even forgive you for the giant eyeball of stalker negating DOOM at the end. You know how many one liners I had ready to roll in my macro tray about a giant eyeball that can't see me? In stead I got another addition to my list of stalker arch enemies. Right up there with Longbow Spec-Ops and Rikti drones. Lets fix the strike force rewards so that the entire team gets them rather than just the leader, and add a badge so more people will feel compelled to take these on, as they're really well done!

After you've fixed the Strike Forces:

Give me Carnie missions, and I will be the happiest stalker in the world. There's a certain way only they scream when you kill 'em. Give me allied villain faction paper missions, and I will be the happiest magic origin stalker in the world. There's a certain satisfaction in knowing that those circle mages are self destructing for MY benefit. Give me hero groups to smack around, and I will be the happest player in the world. Luddites, Wyvern, Legacy Chain, I'm sure you've got more up your sleeve. Keep the longbow out of the paper though. I can already find a plethora of longbow missions at will.

Also, when do we get an official word on those mayhem missions? Are those paper mission, heists, contact only? What's the deal?

One thing that would also be nice for the higher lvl nes missions is if they added in some of those special freakmobs from the story arcs. Like the Rikti/Freaks, and the Sonic/Freaks. Those were some of my favortie mobs to fight cause they were a cool combination of 2 diff vilain groups.

Would be nice to see some more combos like that in the game also.

[/ QUOTE ]

Really? I'm 34 and I have three contacts in St. Martial from the newspaper schemes that won't talk to me until I'm 35. Additionally, I have three contacts in Nerva that tell me to come back when I'm 35 (I'm presuming I'm getting three new contacts from them, since I've found two of those contacts I haven't been introduced to yet). Plus, there's the unlockable Arbiter Leery and Johnny Sonnata at 35.

So that makes 8 contacts for 35-40. That's not enough? (Not to mention that the second respec was opened at 34 and there's a costume mission at 40.)

It was when I hit 33 that, for the first time, every contact outleveled me. But I was purposely trying to do that since day one so as not miss any content. If I had been playing regularly, I probably would have finished all those contacts and arcs at 36. Granted, I haven't done 35-40 yet. I let you know how it goes when I finish it the next few days.
