    Just a heads up:

I have several devs reading this thread, and are working on the bugs you guys are finding, and on ways to improve the Mayhem Missions (such as making the end Hero non-random; currently the end Hero you get is totally random, and has nothing to do with anything you did in the mission, we are looking into changing that).

    [/ QUOTE ]

THANK YOU! for answering that little problem. Now we can quit wracking our brains about the 'why' of it and concentrate on other stuff.

I have a raelly bad bug for you... when I use my gravity powers on LOWLY 5hp Civilians... they don't get crushed into little balls of bloody fleshy goo.

Nor do they burst into screaming flames when my dedicated partner a flame/flame brute attacks or gets near them.

Nor do they collapse into a pile of shattered bones when my singularity lifts them...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Nor do they change the rating of the game by allowing players to kill helpless civilians.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Nor does anybody *die* remember?! They all get teleported away when injured. So don't come at us with this 'reasonable objection based on real world factors beyond our control'. I mean, you guys managed to come up with the spin in ED, didn't you? You managed to spin *that* as the complete opposite of what it was (fewer possibilities for slotting rather than more).

You guys have a powerful grasp of PR, and we both know that if you wanted to, those civilians could be teleported away by the Paragon Emergency Hospital Evacuee Teleportation Service Or Whatever The Expletive Deleted We're Calling It This Week, Anyway Bob Over Here Has This Button And He'll Totally Press It (P.E.H.E.T.S.O.W.T.E.D.W.C.I.T.W.A.B.O.H.H.T.B.A.H .T.P.I.).

Surely. SURELY! the emergency hospital equipment can be diverted from heroes griefing hamidon, or villains being 'defeated' (do you notice the ambiguous language there?! DO YOU!? IT'S PRETTY AMBIGUOUS I THINK. I seem to remember that ambiguity having some kind of special attention called to it!

Those new fancy particle effects certain don't include blood!
    They don't! Do they!

of course, blowing up some of those classic car designs is a crime FAR worse than damaging a human being. I mean... sheesh. They only made... log(N) of those.

No, I'm sorry Positron. I realize, trapped inside that suit, you may feel that you've been somehow wronged by society, and after all, if you've been so wronged, how can you possibly extend the live-saving apparatus of this city in which paragons are often seen, paragoning, to the regular citizenry, who, after all, do nothing to help you in your predicament.

Well... Suck it up buster! Tell those guys to apply the same logic to civilians you apply to heroes so that you are not saddled with the nearly insurmountable stigma of having civilians 'gasp' get killed in a video game!

This whole thing smacks of a double standard. Perhaps a triple standard.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Heres the thing: If the ESRB says (which I'm almost guessing they did, the way this was implemented) that there will be no harming of innocent civvies or this game will be rated M, then thats the way its going to be. Take it up with the ESRB, not Cryptic, but well, we all know how good the ESRB is at their job...

I suppose I shouldn't complain too loudly, what with it being free to download and all...

...but issue 12 was really, really unsatisfying. The writing, the art, the plot...

Whoever you're paying to do that is being paid too much.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Truth, unfortunately. Issue #12 was a real step back in terms of story quality.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yup, issue 12 wasn't very good at all imo. the thing was, from issue 10s storyline, they could've gone *somewhere* with it, but then 11 messed that all up, and 12 made it even worse, this is the kind of plot the shows like The Tick make fun of becuase they are so stupid and cliche.
  3. So....The hero at the end of the mission Spawns at hero level instead of Elite Boss if set on invincible? Ouch, not sure if i like that, that means I'll have to reset my difficulty lower for each mayhem mission.
  4. The ultimate main thing to keep in mind is that Dr. Echo and Dr. Aeon are the same person - or at least, thats what we are supposed to believe unless a 41-50 story arc says otherwise, that much they made pretty clear. They also made pretty clear that you are important somehow, as the future (or was it past?) version of him has a picture of you. From what i remember of the story, a younger Dr. Aeon/echo (I'm going to assume that the younger one is in fact, a bit older then the "Present" Dr. Aeon though, otherwise its just that much more convulted) travels to the future, grows old, travels to the past, comes here, fights you a few times, then you fight both the old and the young him, though one of him was trying to stop the other him from doing something unknown...or something extremely convulted like that. I don't ever believe you really figure out exactly what he was attempting to do/stop himself from doing with all his time travel - but whatever it was, you stopped it, for better or worse. And the present Dr. Aeon is just fine, and I'm not even sure if he realizes what hes done/is going to do/whatever.

    Noted.

We also need to add more Contacts from levels 35-40.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    wooot, they finally realized it.
  6. [ QUOTE ]

I seriuosly doubt that. I think in yalls attempt to to make sure we werent "over powered" we might have ended up too weak.

What would be helpful is if you could give MMs a level bump on test. Until we get the level 32 upgrades and slot the powers, we wont really be able to judge IMO.

You cant really base anything off a level 12 fighting Mooks.

Anyway, thanks for the post. I hope this makes it out soon because I cant PVP.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    My MM is already 32.

I can solo Relentless (Invincible) with him (couldn't until i hit 32, however), but it does take a long time to kill stuff, especially bosses, a little extra speed wouldn't hurt any, whether or not it would make me overpowered is hard to say, and whether or not i feel underpowered now is hard to say, feels kind of like my scrapper, but safer, but i kill slower....kinda like a tank should be almost.
  7. I just tried the Croatoa TF with a 6 man team using my Ice Tanker.

We won, but I can saw one thing for sure: I was completely and utterly useless

The team wouldve been better off had they been 5 people without me. I couldn't take the spawns worth crap, and i didn't do decent damage etheir (well, EM secondary, so i did as good as a tanker possibly could, really). all 3 scrappers on the team outtanked me by a pretty good margin, and my character is min/maxed slotted to hell defense wise, and one of the scrappers went into the Teleport pool and such. meh. Well, I figured it would be like that, but it doesn't make me very happy.
  8. Statesman most certainly was confirmed to be Natural, although I think the thread this was stated in (by States himself no less) is long since deleted.

My assumption is that any human has the potential to unlock the 'incarnate' within them so to speak, but only Statesman and Lord Recluse have figured out how/managed to do so.

I don't think I like the whole "everyone in the zone loses their powers part". What kind of spell can stop EVERYONE's powers regardless of what their source is?
Turns off a mutant's genes, stops a tech hero's armor from functioning, strips the power from magical artifacts, keeps magic heros from casting spells, somehow keeps the changed body chemistry/whatever of science heros from functioning, strips kheldians of their natural alien abilities....

So we get the cop out "a wizard did it".

    -_-

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah I didn't quite get that etheir. So a natural AR/Devices blasters Guns and Devices stop working? a Natural MA/SR scrapper just gets weaker and slower? da hell? Oh well, besides that, and the hellion/outcast thing, I thought it was pretty cool, having Manticore as the main character (at least...it seems to be focusing on him) is kinda neat, and the artwork is awesome.
  10. Ok, I didn't really read the majority of the pages on this thread, but I have a feeling they are going to be similiar what Im about to say, but I'll post anyway:

Just made an ice Tanker....hes at 19 right now...he seems alright, I made him full well knowing he was a gimp, the worst of the worst tank primaries, and one of the worst powersets in the game. The only good power in the set really was energy absorption, and even then, getting hit would kill me, but I like a good challenge, what can I say.

That being said... why is a set that already sucks being nerfed!?

Whats next, double the endurance cost on all DA toggles? How about making the powers in the Blaster fire secondary deal damage to yourself as well! Maybe half the mez duration on all mind control powers, how about making Dispersion shield not have a graphic and halve the defense it gives (not saying FF is really a bad set, but it only has 2 great powers, a good power, then a situational power, then 5 absolutely worthless powers).

Maybe they should work on making what sucks better instead of making what sucks suck even more eh? So what if Energy Absorption was good, theres always a 1/20 chance to hit an ice tanker, no matter what, I think, considering the resistances ice tanks get, they should damn well be capped even to +8 mobs so long as they are built right. This set needs to be fixed, not nerfed.
  11. Hmm....While the only CCG game Ive played seriously is Magic: The Gathering, I suppose this would probably be worth trying out. I never played L5R or any CCG made by the company that makes this though, how is it compared to Magic? Or is it so different that you can't even compare it type of thing?

Eh....I have a bad memory for names.

    Darkdrium....

And that's all I can remember from the group that played with a level 48 bobcat.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It was a level 48 Bobcat because that [censored] wanted the mission set to invincible...when most of the team was 44 or lower :-/

Would have gone better if it weren't for bad aggro pulls I think, but still. That was a crazy mission.

No more invincible setting AV missions for me!

    [/ QUOTE ]

In my defense...it was fun and we got crazy XP .
  13. [ QUOTE ]
    I'm cool.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    yep.

  14. Pretty much everyone whos posted so far in this thread and everyone who frequents the Victory Forums are definately cool people. Many others as well, but since my list would probably just be a repeat of the lists before me, no real reason to do it .
  15. Add me and my brothers vote to the bosses are to hard now category, we already have a difficulty slider, the now bosses are pointless, take forever to kill, and aren't even worth the xp, and if your playing a non uber build, will make just about all your missions unsoloable, imo all missions that dont have elite bosses or higher in them should be soloable, don't give a damn what the devs think, I DO NOT want this game to be EQ in spandex damnit, bosses should be soloable by your average player, plain and simple.

    More answers....

Heres some storyline/mission related questions I've been wondering?

Are you going to 'epic' up some of the more important AV battles? for instance, the final battle with Countess Crey (there are other ones as well, but she definately sticks out the most) was a huge letdown to me and many others...just felt...blah. cave. yippie.

Are you planning on adding any of the "skipped" AVs that are mentioned in the storyline, but don't exist in the game currently (Duray, the Don, Tub Ci, etc.) I and many others would like to beat these guys up .

Are you going to add a Hollows esque contact line (not shadow shard esque, I don't care for infinite repeating missions of pointlessness) to some of the more avoided danger zones so we get more use out of them (Faultline, Eden, etc.)?
  17. The reason why the 5th Column tend to pop up in other villain groups ambushes/ missions is because since 5th Column is the first group in the Alphabet according to computers (which go 1-9 then 0 then some other stuff then the letters if i remember correctly) the game just defaults to them whenever it can't find what the group is supposed to be for whatever reason. Also, this is why we see Mek Man a lot as hostages in missions.
  18. only 5C aren't mutant, but Nat/Sci/Mag/Tech (Human, Vamp,Werewolf, and Robot respectively) unless I'm mistaken, that is all but mutant. Or are the higher level Human types considered mutants for some unorthodox reason?
  19. [ QUOTE ]
It's an alliance! The Fifth Column, Nemesis, and Devouring Earth are forming into one villain group, henceforth known as the Devouring Nemesis Column!

    [/ QUOTE ]

I can see it now, a 500 ft tall Warhulk with Hamidon inside the glass container thing with Requiem inside the Hamidon Nucleus.....

    or maybe not.
  20. The Requiem we fought in the "To Save a Thousand Worlds" Storyline was not the Requiem of our dimension, but a different one (if you don't believe me, read what the contact says after you kill him). The Requiem of our dimension is still at large and you never actually meet him in any missions or anything. Perhaps with this new update they will add in a few large epicish missions to finally be able to beat the crap out of the Requiem of our dimension? And then theres also that helmetless 5C leader guy, he looks like a good candidate for a low level 5C AV, as the 5C AVs as of now are 30ish (Vandal) 42 (Nos) and 45-50 (Werewolf Dimension Requiem) them having a lower level AV considering the hugeness of the group (spans all 50 levels more or less) would be pretty cool.
