Quote:I think the girl with the sword (on the left) might be Amethyst and could the kid in the middle be Timothy Hunter? And I'm starting to think that that isn't Jason Blood, but rather is Lord Andrew Bennett...
All in all I'm very curious to know where that picture is from, looks like an interesting read. -
This is the build I currently have on my main. I play him by far the most and have been thinking of investing in attuned enhancements on the paragon market because I tend to exemplar a lot.
So before doing that I figured I'd post my build here for review in case I'm doing something very wrong.

Is there any way to run the game without going through the NCSoft Launcher? Every other time I start the game it locks up in the launcher and I have to end the process through the task manager to run the game again. It's been like that for me since the launcher got made mandatory.
-
Thanks. I'll get him to post info following that guide.

Hey. A friend of mine hasn't been able to get CoX to run properly since just shortly after he bought Titan Weapons, which he got shortly after they got released. He can only run the game on the lowest graphic settings or the game crashes.
I was just wondering if there were any upgrades made to the engine at the same time or if someone else had problems like that and was able to fix them? -
Could it be possible to give Noble Savage his own personal Dev Digest? I only check the forums occasionally and mostly to see if there is any interesting new info from the devs and in the Dev Digest (especially with the new format) I have to go through page after page of posts on art by David to find anything from the other developers.
Now I'm not criticizing David as I love how much he communicates but putting in a new Art Digest (or something like that) next to the Dev and Community ones for David would make finding dev posts about other stuff easier. -

I'm pretty pumped for the second season, one big reason that a bunch of the members of my reenactment group might be appearing as extras in the scenes filmed in Iceland

Quote:Is that a sign of being sucky now? I haven't read main universe Marvel comics for a long time now(1) but back when I was reading the X titles he was a pretty big deal, one of the (if not the) most dangerous enemies of the X-Men.And Sinister sucks! He's scared of Apocalypse, for crying out loud!
What's changed?
1.stopped not long after the Twelve storyline I think it was. The snippets I remember from when I was last reading are that Wolverine had been made the horseman of death and gotten out of it, The High Evolutionary changed all the mutants to humans which got fixed and Magneto got nucked by Xaviers strangled in the womb twin sister and Emma frost joined the team. -
Just honest curiosity but what other missions than the training arcs are the Shining Stars in? (I've not done all the villain training arcs so I'm not as familiar with those characters). I know from this thread that they appear villainside in WWDp3. Is there anything else?

Hey all. I'm newly returned to CoH after about a 2 year break and am slightly out of touch. So I've been throwing my main up in Mid's and this is what I've come up with:

I'm just hoping for any comments or advice before going into the costly process of reslotting. By my calculating it'll take 2 respecs to save the set IO's I have in my current build that I don't need in this one.
I also already have all the IO's except the purple ones (I have a Mako set and a Scirocco set respectively in those powers until I get my purple sets) and the Gaussian set which I'm in the process of buying.
So please, if anyones got any advice they're most welcome. -
Figured I'd say hi in this thread as well. Just returned after a long hiatus (I think day jobs came out not to long before I left) and I'm loving the game again ^^
Main is a MA/SR Scrapper named Targos Faile if anyone remembers me :P -
Ok, great. I'll continue with the install then.
Thanks a bunch you two -
Thanks a lot. That's exactly what I was looking for
But now I have another problem. I was downloading the client through the plaync installer and I noticed that it installed the EU version of the client. Now like I said I'm returning after a while and I don't know, maybe it's possible now to play on a US account on the US servers with the EU client. And if so there's no issue. But if not can anyone point me out where I can get the US client directly? The PlayNC updater doesn't seem to offer any option for which client you want.
Regards. -
Hey everyone. Hoping someone can help me with this problem.
Thing is I just reactivated and want to buy some of the boosters. My issue is that I have the US version of the game (bought long before there was a EU version) and I live in Iceland. When I go to the store page all I get are the EU versions of the booster packs. I made the mistake of buying the EU version of the cyborg pack which I can't use.
So can someone show me how I can get to the US versions of the boosters? I'm utterly unable to find them navigating through the store.
Thanks in advance.
Regards. -
Well, the Rularuu AV's are a bit bigger. About the same size as Eoachi. Still, it's not that much larger.
Comparison picture, Lanaruu is the little guy next to the Winter Lord. -
To get anyone in the mission to refer to you by name use $name
(there's also $heshe, $himher, $hisher if you need to use a pronoun relating to the player)
I'm not sure if you can put a background on your contact. But to put one on your allies put one in when you make them. There's a large area for a background on the screen where you name them and choose their faction.
I think there's also a place where you can write one as you add the character. -
I've been making a mission where I intended to have Ruladak be the final boss but I'm not finding him. Are the Rularuu AV's not available in the MA?

Player A1 puts up a Level 12 TO for 5,000,000 inf.
Player B1 puts up the same Level 12 TO for 1,000 inf.
Player A2 (trying to transfer funds) offers to buy that level 12 TO for 5,000,000 inf.
Since player B1 wants less, and is obviously trying to move his items faster, his "for sale" is processed first, so he ends up with 5,000,000 inf (minus fees).
[/ QUOTE ]
Player C see's player A1 put an item for sale at 5,000,000 and suspects that he is trying to transfer funds.
Player C places Level 12 TO for 999 inf.
Player A2 (trying to transfer funds) offers to buy that level 12 TO for 5,000,000 inf.
Since player C wants less and to screw over player A1, his "for Sale" is processed so he ends up making 4,999,001 inf profit (minus fees).
[/ QUOTE ]
But player C can't see that player A put it up for 5.000.000, he just sees that player A has a Level 12 TO for sale.
Now, he can try to post his lvl 12 TO at 999, in the hope that player A has a higher price set. Or he can try offering to buy the TO for 1000, to see if it's priced higher. Therin lies the posibility of it being priced at eg. 1, so player C loses 999 (not much I know).
Or player A could check how many TO's of the kind he's trying to use to transfer and if he sees another has popped up for sale he can simply abort, or try offering 1000-10000 inf first to see if someone is trying to scam him.
Honestly, the way this system looks to be set up, unless you're unlucky enough to confirm the offer in the same second someone puts another enh for sale at a lower price, just using simple caution should get you past all scams. -
Love this song
I've got one modification to make it flow better (for me at least)

Has anyone confirmed if heroes can earn the RV badges for beating Statesman and the Freedom Phalanx when confused?
Hopefully not since that would have heroes actively working against other heroes there. -
[ QUOTE ]
The concept of having unlockable content is good.
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree completely here, I've really loved this concept. And unlockable contacts offer a good opportunity to fill in content. Eg. content is needed at a certain lvl cap, add an unlockable contact there for a quick fix.
[ QUOTE ]
The stories from them (from the ones I have done) are good.
[/ QUOTE ]
I also a agree with you here, for the most part anyway. I felt Kristof Jaegers story to be rather lacking, though, that may have been me getting my expectations to high after halting my progress for a long time while waiting for the villainous badge to be fixed.
[ QUOTE ]
They're hard to find, so unless one knows they're there, it's unlikely one will stumble across one until after one has outleveled the contact.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is also very true, I never would have found all of them before outlvl-ing them if it hadn't been for these forums and vidiotmaps. I only found Doc Buzzaw, Tarixus and Johnny Sonata by myself.
I think you should be referred to all the unlockable contacts at one point or another, like Archmage Tarixus, you're constantly being sent to see him in the course of the game, giving you plenty of opportunites to see the green circle around his feet. This should be added to all the unlockable contacts, someone else in the same lvl range (or the one below) should always send you on a FedEx mission to them, eg. lt. Demitrovich should send you to Kristof Jaeger at some point since he's also a Longbow traitor, and Bocor or Percy could send you to Veluta Lunata.
[ QUOTE ]
CoV just doesn't have enough content yet (especially in the higher levels) to warrent having any contacts as being secret
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm, looks like I adressed this point from my perspective under the last point. -
[ QUOTE ]
Yea there's an exploration badge or a history plaque with that on it right? I always thought that was lame. Grendel sounds much more badass than Atta.
[/ QUOTE ]
Just wait until you meet Grendel's mother
Joking aside, I don't remeber Grendel's fate being specifically mentioned, but it's been a long time since I last read the history plaques in the hollows, but I do recall hearing somewhere that Atta indeed did wrestle control of the Trolls from it.
