Littlefinger must die! Sorry, just finished reading the first book. Don't know if i'm gonna make it till April.
Let's throw some more fuel on the GoT fire!
It had long been rumored that they'd have to split Storm of Swords into two seasons, so greenlighting Seasons 3 & 4 makes sense, but we don't have offifical confirmation yet.

I'm pretty pumped for the second season, one big reason that a bunch of the members of my reenactment group might be appearing as extras in the scenes filmed in Iceland

I'd be more excited if I hadn't become convinced (over several books of excellent characterization but meandering, directionless storyline) that there's no more overarching plot than "they all die at the end." Still nice to see that HBO continues to stick with the TV series, probably for precisely that reason.

While there are a couple of overarching metaplots happening in the background, I feel they are not particular important to the story. The story, to me, is much more about the setting and the people that tries to carve out an existence in it, than working towards some overreaching conclusion that neatly wraps up everything at the end.
