Skipping past the launcher

Is there any way to run the game without going through the NCSoft Launcher? Every other time I start the game it locks up in the launcher and I have to end the process through the task manager to run the game again. It's been like that for me since the launcher got made mandatory.

cityofheroes.exe -project coh -auth 64.25.36.88

You'll of course still have to run the launcher whenever there's a patch. There's also no guarantee that they won't change the auth server in the future and break that.

Try this: Start the launcher, on the top left click File>Settings. Under the general tab the bottom option should read: "After launching a game:", click the drop down under it and select "Exit Launcher" then click OK. What this will do is when you select to play a game, the NCSoft launcher will immediately exit shutting down the process entirely and all you will have is the game running.

Setting up a game to load without opening the launcher each time:

1) Open Launcher;
2) Right Click the game you wish to play;
3) Click "Create Desktop Shortcut";

Now the game will load as before the launcher was introduced, but I'm not sure about game updates. Most likely it'll tell you that it needs to download the patch when there is a new one.
