Oog, that is one of the worst ideas Ive heard. Say the opposing side takes over your base, which is also the entry point to the sector. There would be no safe entry point for your side. They could camp it for hours and hours then.
Sounds like what they do in Battlefield 1942 with control/spawn points, if the enemy controls them all, there's nowhere to spawn and your side loses. The difference is that the match will end in BF1942 whereas CoH/CoV is a persistent world, it goes on and on.
It would be really annoying to try to enter SC to get your pvp on, only to have it say, "Base Occupied, no entry point available" Arrgh!

Once they removed drone debt, there was no longer any reason for anyone to fear camping the enemy spawn. Used to be only level 50s would consistantly risk hospital camping but now everyone does it.

I disagree.
As it stands, Bounty is only collectable on someone who has not been defeated for a set period of time. If you hit somebody who's just come out of the Hospital, you get nothing. This completely invalidates the notion of racking up large quantities of Bounty by just killing players coming out of the Hospital.
And as for griefing... it depends on what definition you're using. Repeatedly hitting the same person over and over and over? No incentive to do so as you'll probably only get Bounty for the first kill and none of the rest. Plus after you get your Most Wanted target, it changes to another player.
What this goes to is that there are incentives to being just AFK in the safe zone and doing nothing at all. People want the badges for being in the PvP Zone for X amount of time, but they don't want to PvP.
In situations like this, if I'm given a target that refuses to leave the safe zone, I'll ask them to either zone out and back in to clear my target, or just come out to fight real quick.
I would ask that ALL players who intend on just sitting around the Hospital to turn on the options to see opposition chat and grant ALL requests for zoning/target clearing.

I made this mistake too. You don't get /reputation/ for a recently killed target. You still get bounty.

o.o err.... except that the timer restarts when you zone or go to a mission.. not that the timers are working right anyway...
<.< joy of pvp greifers indeed, I went into sirens call yesterday at around 11pm, there where 3 stalkers waiting at the hero entrence. If you didn't zone right away, they killed you. Those police drones didn't do a thing to them. Do they ignore stalkers if they have hide+stealth+another steath/invise power?

Good.. I'm tired of safe zones being far from safe (both hero and villain sides). I realize they souldn't be shelters for people to run in and out of, but the fliers picking off villains and the stalkers ASing heroes in safe zones is a little out of hand.
Though at the same time I hate it when my bounty in Siren's call hides in the hospital for 5 hours trying to get a timed badge.

If its not a big huge bubble around the hospital that just melts and/or repels all opposing forces, then whatever else you try won't work.
I've also run into heroes camping by the entry "drop point" in Bloody Bay. Taking advantage of that bug where you enter in the middle of the forest instead of coming in from the helicopter. Sure, you have 30 seconds of invulnerability, but it's not enough to get back to the base and join up with a team for safety.
All I can say is that if anyone posted on the VirtueUnited global channel that there were Heroes griefing the base and hospital in a PvP zone and pinning down the Villains, I'd be there in a second to turn the tide.
Get help.

This way, invisible AND hovering heroes (or villians) would be at risk to even come close them.

If you see someone camping a hospital, even if the person's on your side, ask him to leave. If you get a response filled with I33t-speak, broadcast his position to the opposite side. Or turn traitor and help the other side take him down.
Spawn-killing and ganking make folks who are on the fence about PvP split. For good. The overall number of people who do PvP, ever, in CoH is small. Making what might be a gamer's first ever experience of PvP awful is not the way to encourage newbies.
Remember how PvPers started complaining about how dead The Arena was within a week of I4's release? Don't let that happen to the PvP zones. Try to take newbies under your wings, and try to hold accountable the nimrods hell-bent on ruining PvP for everyone.

I'm sorry you've experience something like that, Hopefully you have some friends with Recall Friend that can pull you out of the hosptial and into the Helicopter, to get out.
The preventing people from getting into the hospital could be solved by having the Drones see people Invisible, and work through Phase shift etc. (maybe adding more drones inside the hosptial).
Outside, other than having Level 50 NPC's flying around over the hosptial, to take out snipers, not sure what you can do.

I've been a victim of this as well, both as a hero and as a villain, what I've noticed some people do is camp on the upper out croppings of hospitals and tp foe up there, mostly stalkers do this, but yeah it's getting way out fo control on both sides.

True, but when you had both hero and villain TP foeing each other in front of drones for an easy/greify kill..... I think if they put it back there'd be hell to pay. I remeber my warshade getting max debt because of this tactic. The stalker i was fighting couldn't take me out so just said...run away...port hahahah dead lobster

why not give drones a perception of 200 yards and make it so that it cant be debuffed? but that wont stop the snipe blasters with boost range and 3 range enhancements from sniping you while you are talking to the contacts just as that 30 second grace period runs out.

I realize you're accepting someone could PK you when you go into a PvP zone, but not being able to LEAVE ONE is another story... Today I tried to exit the hospital in Siren's Call and wanted to leave but before I could get out of the zone I was Teleport Foe'd to a Stalker who Assasin Strike'd me. I was one shotted... AND THIS AS A SCRAPPER. My computer meets the system requirments for the game but my screen hangs about a full seccond when I get TP'd... regardless, the PvP immunity timer counts down while you're trying to exit the hospital, so you can't really leave the zone in the time allotted. If you're going to try to say I'm just inexperienced or using the wrong tactics keep this in mind: I have met the reputation cap before. I would consider myself a solid PvP'er and I enjoy it when I'm not being greifed and unable to leave the zone.
This needs a solid fix. A fix that would let me talk to the NPC's before I get TP Foe'd would be nice too... All this would go away if they put up a tent that blocked line of sight over the area enclosed by the barbed wire... a simple wireframe ceiling and a single color skin for it would be plenty. People couldn't stand on the roof and TP Foe you away, and they'd have to go past the police drones to get in. This would at least curtail the greifing.
One thing to note: If you're getting nailed by anyone at your Hospital then you should Broadcast about it.
This will(usually) cause one or two people to come to your aid, beating the snot out of the person, or at least giving them more targets(and you more time to run).
As it currently stands: I tend to, with my MasterMind, keep a close eye on the Villain Hospital. If I see a hero in there I attack right away, usually winning due to the NPC interference of hospital guards(And the fact that most hospital attackers /suck god awful at PvP/).

Hee, that Temp Stealth Suit is worthless. If an NPC Mob can see you 10 ft away, a PC Villian will have no problem. I stopped buying them. In fact, I want the villians to see me. I want to remind them that the hunters are also hunted. Since with my build I can't outright kill anyone (unless they stick around for a brawl, Kudos to all who do ) I take great pleasure in the chase. Sorry that it irritates some.
