Sadly, I have never gotten to the fury cap...and I'm level 27 :<
I started a stalker in retail, not feeling very Brute-ish after playing some in beta. I got tired of it right before getting fly (arg) and tried an ice/cold corruptor. I stopped playing him because of depression from reading the corruptor forums about damage problems later on (I'll continue to play him soon though, unlike my stalker, which I may not). I fired up a remake of my ss/invul in beta...
Ahhh... bodies hitting the floor, that aren't mine. The glorious wind up and pitch of KO-Blow. The sparkly armor against my dark, butt enhancing costume (which has always disturbed me in CoH/V, but whatever). Kidney Punch, One-hand smash, two-hand smash, poppey punch... mmm...
Tripping the fine line between having no health, no endurance, but a pulsing, nearly full fury bar... do I stay and kill everyone or do I rest for a bit... way more entertaining then my scrapper.
Granted, it would be nice to not look like rainbow brite all the time, but... whatever...

One day while minding my own business I was struck with the idea to try a Brute. Well heck why not? Noone was around to see me and the door to my room was locked so.........
Now I can't play anything else!
I don't want to log in to any other toon!
Now, all I wanna do is SMASH!!!

I rather enjoy being a brute too. I am level 25 and Dark Powers/ Dark Melee.
I am not very impressed by the inaccuracy of Shadow maul, it misses quite a bit even with 2 +30% DO's slotted. However cloak of darkness, siphon life, dark consumption, and dark regeneration are all very fun to use against a foe, especially when you have the ability to teleport your foes right next to you :-D.
Getting in the iddle of a mob and maxing out ones fury bar is Awesome, with my fury bar maxed out each punch dealt in shadow maul deal 27 damage, and shadow maul hits a foe about 15 times per use, so 27 x 15 is the amount of damage it deals to the target when it lands. Not to mention shadow maul is an AoE cone melee attack so if the target has other foes behind or next to him you are also hitting them as well.
The only thing I don't like about being a brute is the lack of range, but that is easily fixed with teleport foe.
Just the other day I was PvP in bloody bay and a hero was running away froma mob of us villains, he was sure to escape..... and then next thing he knows he was teleported right into the middle of us and we ate him alive. Gotta love that Teleport foe. :-D

get a thermal coruptor beg him to never leave your side and jump blindly into a group of foes and the joys of fury will reveal themselves to you. Of course you will live or die depending on how the coruptor is slotted but it takes a certain amount of craziness to pursue the SMASH .

Not only are Brutes adicting, but most of us dont seem to care too much about debt (mostly) either.
As you stand in the midst of mobs watching your rage bar fly up and the orange numbers jump up like an auctioneer on speed and bad guys dropping around you.... SMASH... SMASH... SMASH you just can't seem to stop yourself. No other toon has compelled me to stand there and do nothing but go down swinging like my Brute. Granted, I did some of this with my tank, but it just didnt feel the same....
maybe we should start Brutes Anonymous... 
Declaring a Brute as fun is a sure way to get it nerfed into oblivion. Look in the other forums. If we do not start complaining real soon someone will notice. Fun ATs are not alowed after I6.

Sadly it aint like its never happened, but I hope it doesn't. If felt like I could get a sense of stability maybe I'd buy CoV and join you, but after the swirl and sweep of CoH I just can't bring myself to plop down another $50. I just can't do it. You guys have fun though and SMASH as long and as often as you can!!!!

Totally. But I'm noticing that the debt I pick up from SMASHing like crazy tends to melt away pretty quick. How, you may ask?
