ok did the respec myself and the leader both chose respec. he called in we went on our way, I went to leery and he wouldn't talk to me I have now done both Respecs. I /tell the leader if he had any luck, he talks and gets missions from him. He never did the 1st respec though. Both of us hadn't used the 2nd respec yet when we talked to the guy. I have no clue as to quite what is required. Perhaps you have to lead a respec mission? I also gave up trying to get misisons from him and have now used my respec. I have both Accolades and nothing. I am one day gonna try to get a team together and try see if being the leader will have much luck.

I've read this thread about Leary 3 times now... the one commonality is that everyone who has reported getting Leary missions has exactly one unused respec. If you have 2 unused respecs it doesn't work, if you have used any of your respecs it doesn't work. If anyone has exactly one unused respec and still doesn't get the Leary missions.. please post.
I got missions from Leery and I have 2 unused respecs. So there goes that theory too.
BTW, he offers a timed mission to "find the deceiver," (or something to that effect). This mission has a Hero at the end, so get a group before you accept it.

I only had 1 respec at the time. However I had used the 24+ respec already.
I got Leery as a contact and he gave me missions after doing my first repect mish, but did not use the respect...SG mate that did the respect with me used his and could not unlock Leery.

Just as an FYI to make sure everyone is on the same page for Leery, he is a 35+ contact only.
I haven't been seeing any level numbers for the people that have tried to use Leery and I don't recall seeing anybody post the text he gives you when you click on him (for either successful or unsuccessful tries).
I tried just to try on a level 31 Brute who has an unused respec, and Leery told me to come back at 35.

Strangely enough, he still gives me the speech about seeing the CoT respec contacts, even though I've got both badges .b]and[/b] have already cleared out all of Leery's missions. I think he's still a little buggy if he can't tell the difference between someone who's done with him and someone who hasn't unlocked him.
I was 38 when I went to him. I think that qualifies for the 35+
Regarding Arbiter Leery...
My Dominator is Level 29 (still plenty of time until he's unlockable), but I also have been worried about whether or not he would tell me to "seek the demons" or if I should go pester someone else.
I believe I got lucky. Arbiter Leery told me that he would have work for me on Level 35, that I should return then. I believe I am set for doing his missions, but I will only know when I reach 35.
Status regarding my Respecs
-I've participated only in the first Respec (Sparcetriel), and have only ever done it once.
-I was not the leader.
-I have not used my Respec yet; my accolade reads to "talk to Arbiter Lupin".
With such information, I am guessing that we need to do only one of the Respec trials and NOT use the Respec given.

I'm sorry for the double post (could not edit my original as time limit had expired), but I bring updated news regarding Leery's status with my Level 29 Dominator.
On the Test Server, looking to test out a potential build in part, I recalled what people had said here in the guide about using the Respecs and Leery's negatory answer. With that in mind, I used my Respec and quickly dropped by Leery, and the result? He told me to seek out either Sparcetriel or Trespaciel to "prove myself".
Here's what I am thinking. You know how the Respec badge, when not used yet, reads that you stole the nexus of the tree, but you have to use it to reform yourself? And after you use it, you gain the badge again with an updated description saying you used the nexus? Perhaps Leery wants to "see" a "shard" of the nexus, in the form of an unused Respec/badge, before he gives you his missions.
So, here's what I know so far.
1) Not using the Respec from Sparcetriel qualifies you for Leery.
2) Using the Respec from Sparcetriel has Leery tell you to prove yourself.

I'm not certain if anyone added this or not. I just finished Tarixus's set of missions. Was funny because I finished the story line ones and he kept giving me the stray missions afterwards. Anyway Archmage Tarixus is at the location listed, and does require Lorekeeper to get his missions.
Diviner Maros will send you to him with a letter and he'll send you on one mission to kill some CoT - but that is unrelated to Tarixus's other storyline.
Anyway, if you have lorekeeper start this guy at around 25, cause he has a boatload of missions - and pay attention when he starts talking about the Blackwand. This is the arc that gets you the Soul Taker Badge. You are basically collecting pieces of the wand - coral shards, soul of a hero (elite longbow boss Agent X), etc. I did them over a long span of time so I can't give a play by play. Soul Taker is somewhere in the middle and after the Forge The Blackwand mission you get to keep it. 10 charges, high Neg damage ranged attack with a pretty good recharge.
The downright coolest thing about this is that it does extra damage for Magic origin characters. Someone more familiar with the game could maybe point out other examples where origin affected the damage/effectiveness of a temp power, but this is the first time I have seen it.
Anyway, very cool contact to get - and Lorekeeper is a pretty easy badge to get as well; I highly recommend this one.
As of today, the Villain badge is fixed and working. My corruptor has it now. Soon as I clear some space on my mission list, I'll see what Jaeger gives me.
Kristof Jaeger. Apparently at 33 I've outleveled him, so he must be a 25-30. For some reason I thought he was 30-35.

He's 25-29, at least according to CuppaJo in another post (and my 29.3 Brute having been able to do his missions).

UGG I saved my lvl 32 for this contact. Kristoff is just like that jackarse ghost trapping contact.. definately in the wrong level range for the task.

Aye. 1000 Longbow. Best place to get them without having to worry about getting exp or dealing with the PvP crowd is to head to Mercy Island. Level 6-8ish ones spawn, typically in groups of 4+, around the ferry to Port Oakes area. Took me around 2.5 hours to get the badge since none of the 500+ I killed before the update counted.

SOme how this sounds wrong. What I mean by that. Is they didn't datamine for the SFs because they said it would take to long. But it be real easy to figure out. If they killed X name at the end. Such as the Leviathon. You would have a count of 1. Then why can't they give the badge for it, instead of making everyone redo the tf.

Yep. Had to kill all 1000. I had run 15-20 PvP missions easily as well as having slaughtered 200 Longbow Sargents and around 200 Guardians back when it was still bugged (thought maybe those specific mobs might be the magic key). Upon logging in after the patch, didn't even have a bar for Longbow.
On the upside, I know that Longbow Spec Ops gladiator is for the Villain badge.

Unlockable contacts are often stumbled upon by players who see a NPC with a glowie circle around them and wonder who they are and click on them. They often get a cryptic statement about doing something else before they'll talk to you.
Some unlockables are errand missions from regular contacts. In the high end game, just about every contact has you stopping by Tarixus. It's only if you have the right badge that Tarixus will become a contact in his own right and give you a mission arc.
