Look at some of the robot/ff guides. Theyll be plenty of info there about your secondary. You cant really give advice on the primaries, they are all pretty self explanatory. Get your pets ASAP as well as your upgrades. For mercs serum is kinda lackluster because of the 20 min cooldown so I would advise against taking it.

I doubt anyone is gonna make a merc/ff guide any time soon because of all the bot/ff guides already posted but who knows, I could be wrong.

If you're really bad at playing Merc/ff maybe you should try a different primary/secondary combo, tho honestly you may wanna try another AT. Mercs/ff is probably the easiest combo to play because FF is the most fire and forget and mercs is by far the easiest primary to control.

Small question about the MM Numeric Keypad bind system (I'm posting here as the original thread can't be posted in anymore). I'm using the basic setup for my bots (1= minions 2=Lt's 3=Boss etc...) but I've left them with their generic names because I assumed if I changed them it would mess the binds up.

However after re-reading the thread it looks like I can re-name my bots and not have any issues with the binds. Does anyone know if this is true?

You are correct, 8. The basic 0-3 binds use the petcomall and petcompow commands. Changing the pet names will not affect these binds. There are additional instructions beyond the group selections to set up control by name binds using the petcomname command.

Also, as of 5/27, people were still posting to the thread, and I usually try to respond to questions there when I spot them.

My thanks Sandolphan .

And my inability to post in the thread was a login issue, all fixed.

I have another question about it. I've avoided using the numpad bind system because I also use those keys for my first power tray (system I developed as a scrapper and defender). Can I use the numpad binds without overwriting the numpad for my power tray? For instance could I set it up so the command binds are for with numlocck off?

I've never played around with whatever the keys become with numlock off (in fact I often don't know why there's even a numlock key...it's like "toggle this to make part of your keyboard not work!"). I assume that whatever the numpad keys 'become' with numlock disengaged, you could simply address the names of the keys in that mode and assign the binds to them.

Alternatively, you could remap the numpad binds as described in the thread, for example to QWE ASD ZXCV with a shift, alt, or control pressed in tandem.

QWE ASD are my movement keys That's why I like using the numpad keys for tray 1, I put my attacks there and am good to go.

Use them with shift, alt or control for the pet controls...I experimented with the setups a bit and found lalt the best, with a 'thumb-under' approach. There are many ways to remap the binds; the numpad was just an easy mnemonic layout and under-utilized by most people.

Thanks. This will make it easier to pick my powers on the thug i'm building. Didn't have much of a chance to play around with his powers during the RV event on Test.
