    Game Changes

There are several changes to CoH reciently, and I don't remember reading anything about them. Maybe someone can help me with them.
    1. Dark Astoria is gone. My beacon now leads to Echo: Dark Astoria. I know what happened to Galaxy City. What is the story line with Dark Astoria?
    2. I can now create a "Hacked Teleporter" in my base. What is the difference between a normal and a hacked teleporter?
  2. I know if I get to 11, that I will get the KR bank mission. I have had the contact give me the AP mission before, but never more than once. And that was only reciently (within the last 6 months).

Did they change it so you can ONLY get the KR bank mission levels 11-15?

I do remember that if you wait until level 15 to try and get the KR bank mission (this was a while ago, before you could turn off XP) that you could get the contact giving you the Skyway bank mission and never get the KR mission due to out-leveling the ability to get it.
  3. Make that 5 times in a row!
  4. Here's something they "fixed" with the last patch that the fix is a problem!

I am level 10 in Cap Au Diable (level 10 to 20) running around, with XP turned off, running Newspaper Missions trying to get the "Rob the Kings Row Bank" mission. After FOUR attempts, my contact keeps trying to give me the Atlas Park bank mission! I am 17 XP away from leveling, and I don't want to level until after I receive the mission.

Bank missions are hard enough, I like to get the mission, then get a couple of levels before actually doing the mission. I know I can decrease the difficulty by 1 level, but why?

It used to, if you were in Cap Au Diable (or Steel Canyon) at level 10, since these are level 10+ zones, it would only give you the Kings Row bank missions. Now, I can't get the Kings Row bank mission at level 10 after 4 tries.
  5. I don't understand - people will still have plenty of alts. The whole purpose is to allow someone who picked powersets they don't like and choose new ones for money. These ideas are to help NC Soft get me to part with my money since the Rename, Respec, and Transfer I haven't done. And I won't purchase at their current prices.
  6. 4) Character Transfrer - this is what else costs 800 points. I still don't understand why my Primary account has a fewer transfers than my secondary account which has a lot less paid time.
  7. No comment or anything else? Has anyone else seen this?
  8. Here are some ideas I have for the Paragon Market. There are some things that I don't like.

    1) It doesn't know what you've bought and what you haven't. I know this has been suggested many times, but it needs repeating and there's a reason that it's #1 on my list.

    2) With all the Respecs you get (I have all the Paragon Rewards, and I still have 1 unspent token), I can't see spending $10 (800 points) on ONE Respec for ONE character. You can also get 3 free ingame, and you frequently get a free one with an update. I think this should be around 80 points instead of 800.

    3) Character Rename Tokens cost $10 (800 points). I think this is also excessive. There are times that I've re-rolled characters because I was trying an alt and found a great name. If these go on sale for 80 points each, I will probably buy 10 of them. Until then, I will either keep the name or reroll if I have to to avoid this excessive price. I wish I could get these through the Paragon Rewards or get them instead of Character Transfers.

    4) There is something else that costs 800 points for your character that I think is excessive. I can't remember it at the moment.

5 How about a Super Respec? This Respec would allow you to keep your character's current level and change his/her Primary and/or Secondary. I think this would be worth 400 Points. NOTE: A character might need to use two of these if he/she has 2 specs (like one for PVP and one for PVE).

    6) How about an Extream Respec? This Respec would allow you to change your Class (something like Stalker to Defender). This would include the Super Respec since the Primary/Secondary choices probably won't line up. I think this might be worth the 800 points. The NOTE: in #5 would also apply to this Respec.

These are just a few ideas that I'm posting while I'm getting the oil changed in my car at the dealership (they have free wifi and a couple of computers to use). I may have more ideas when I get home.
  9. I must agree with most of the posts here. To me, the most "wizardly" would be /Kinetics. What it does to your enemies is awesome, although it has synergy problems with Illusion. Radiation Emission (NOT Thermal Radiation) has the best synergy with Illusion, and the effects do look somewhat magical (even without power customization), although you just have to ignore the name (Radiation).

Personally, I like /Kinetics. And with /Kin you will always be welcome on a team, especially with a Stone/ Tank.
  10. When you're on a team and you perform a Morality Mission for the team leader, it will clear out all your tips even though you are not at your maximum daily limit of tips and you couldn't change alignments since you're not at 10/10 for that alignment.

I was playing a hero who wanted to become a Vigalante. I had done no tips at all and was at 0/10 Vig Tips. I saw someone doing a LFM for Vig tip missions, so I joined. While I was on the team, I had collected 3 tips and got to 4/10 Vig Tips (thus 4/5 daily tips). I didn't realize that the team leader had selected a morality mission and I wasn't worried about it if I had known. At the end of the mission, the team leader logged out and I wanted to do one of my tips to get to my 5/5 for the day and 5/10 for my alignment change. I was surprised that I had no tips available.

Doing someone else's morality mission SHOULD NOT delete all your tips UNLESS you use that mission to change your alignment (I don't know if you can, or it has to be your morality mission).

    Window Position

The game doesn't remember my window size & placement anymore when I log back in. It's most noticable in the market.

I move the windows for my salvage and market windows so they don't overlap and are easy to see. However, when I log out then back in, those windows are back to their default location instead of the game remembering where I moved them. The game will remember as long as I don't log out.

It worked before this last patch, but isn't working now.

    Paragon Points

Why does it have to be that difficult? Why not just send some of my points?

I do that, I want to send my friend a Rocket Board. Tell me, how do I do that?
  14. They are not mentioning this in the list of known bugs, so I am posting it here for everyone to see!

    Bug Location:
Atlas Park next to the Supergroup Portal

    What's Bugged:
You are not getting credit for your Monitor Duty badge, and you are not getting the prestige bonus when you sign back in.

    Work Around:
Stand next to the SG portal in any other zone. If you are under level 5, I recommend going to Talos Island. The portal is right next to the tram, and surrounded by police drones.

I used to get tons of emails from people advertising their selling of INF. Since you can buy PP with real money, why would someone buy it on ebay?

    Paragon Points

P.S. I just want to get my friend the Hoverboard and Ninja Run.

Thanks, clearing the cache cleared this problem

    Paragon Points

How about adding the ability to e-mail Paragon Points from one account to another? I have a friend who just started playing for free. I would like to send him some points so he could unlock a few things, and make his game-play more enjoyable so he will stay.

    I hate this!

Every time I go to www.cityofheroes.com I see the announcement for Freedom, the movie, and everything.

What is MISSING is a link to continue on to the City of Heroes website

I've looked many times, and I don't see one. I know Freedom is live. I've had to type in http://na.cityofheroes.com/en/index.php to get to the website instead of clicking on a link!

So I ran back to the base portal, and there was no day job icon. I tested it at the portal in Talos, and there it was.
I'm surprised that this isn't in the list of known issues. I've done a /bug and I've reported it on the forums, and it still isn't in the list of known problems. Maybe it is fixed with today's patch.
  22. OK, I was wrong about starting in Praetoria, it isn't obvious how to do it. I thought that was just showing me what I had access to, and in Beta, completing the character creation was where you selected Praetoria or Galaxy City.

That room may not, but there is a room in the starting quest line in Atlas Park where you enter a warehouse "disguised" as a Hellion, you "Walk" around, pick up an item, then "find the exit". That mission also works with the hover board activated prior to entry. After "Walk"ing around with several characters, I was surprised to find myself as a Hellion flying on a Rocket Board.

A quick place you may want to check is the Auction House in Imperial City, that comes to mind as a place that has power suppression all the time, unless they changed that too.

  23. Here are some things that I've found.

    1) Atlas Park - SG Base portal - does not give you credit for the badge for logging off next to your base or the prestige bonus when you log back in.
    2) Atlas Park - The Exploration Point on top of the sphere of Atlas - you can't see it, although you still get credit for it when you find it.
    3) Suppressing Power Supression - There are several places you go in the game that supress all powers. 4) I have the Going Rogue on my accounts. However, when I create a new character, I don't have the option of starting in Praetoria. I can go to Galaxy City, or to Atlas Park, or Mercy Island.
    5) They removed the Black Helicopter Line at North Mercy (by the old starting area (whatever that fort is).

    CoX Freedom

When will the free access begin? I can't seem to find any information about it.

If you log out in your base, when the 30 second timer is up, the game puts back where you were before you entered. This is fine if you entered via the portal, but if you used the Recall to base power, then you don't.
