Ya know, that article said to call your local authorities... I think that was rather irresponsible.

Gil, you may be getting some nasty phonecalls from small-town police stations innundated with calls from drunken CoH'ers with hot tips as to Jackson's whereabouts.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, god forbid the the police blame the drunken idiots.

Noooooo! Say it ain't so!

I say we form a rescue party for ol' Turner. It's the only heroic thing to do.

Woo! Juan's gone!

Now he won't be able to send lowbie on that "bust 10 vahz for a photo op/article" mission... BWAhahaha

[/ QUOTE ]

No, Juan is fine. Jackson Turner is gone.

For those in the Nixon Detective Agency when you visit Siren's Call go found Jackson Turner for us?

Posted

Aww, wasn't he the reporter who's been giving up all of these Paragon Times articles over the years, or at least a good number of them?

I smell Task Force. And chocolate.

Is Jackson Turner going to turn back up as Sunburst II? Are we going to get the next stage in the evolution of the Paragon Times? ...Super-Investigative Journalism?

I think Gil has taken the red pill too often...

Yeah I smell another TF...

Shame it will be fairly meaningless to the majority of people, cos they don't read the boards, but we'll all enjoy it! As well as lording over the other the fact we know who Jackson is...

Egor.

So what, this puts in a PvP based "save Jackson Turner" mission that when completed earns the accolade "Make Gilgy and Jackson get off their [censored] and put out a story" that recharges every two weeks?

The truth is Jacky boy skipped town. He owed me a $10 spot and was to cheap to repay it.

Personally, I think he's sitting somewhere glued to a chair. We'll probably hear from him soon.

Posted

Bah, yeah right. Now all of his fact gathering is complete, Jackson is returning the Rogue Isles, donning his helmet and mechanical arms and preparing to unleash his Arachnos hordes upon an unsuspecting world.

Always remember, we were Heroes.

He's probably inside Mako right now ...

I always knew Juan was evil....

I mean, come on. He's standing on a rooftop guarded by Clockwork.

Evil, I tell you.

P.S. This thread slipped down to page 3. Bad people!

My first "turning point" in this city was during the Rularuu Invasion, and charging in with my BS/Regen Scrapper. Skyway City, at Level 10. It went...poorly.

On September 21, Senior Times Correspondent Jackson Turner and Times photographer Juan Jimenez went on special assignment to Siren’s Call to report further on the district’s re-opening. On September 24, Juan Jimenez notified the Times that Jackson Turner went to meet with a confidential informant near the docks the day before. He never returned. On September 26, the Times recovered Turner’s laptop, containing the commentary above. Despite repeated inquiries, law enforcement officials have declined comment on this case. We at the Paragon Times will continue our own investigation into the matter. If anyone has information regarding Jackson Turner’s whereabouts, please contact the Paragon Times or your local law enforcement agency.

On September 26, the Times recovered Turner’s laptop, containing the commentary above. Also found near the laptop were branches and twigs tied coarsely into the shape of a human effigy on a crossbar, and more disturbingly a bloodied handkerchief, wrapped around three teeth. The local forensics team has verified the teeth to be human, but they do not match the dental records of Jackson Turner. Investigators link this to a similar disappearance of three local college students near Burkittsville, MD in October, 1994.

Considering the stories he writes, I'm surprised he hasn't had more Lois Lane mishaps before now. Maybe when they finally but in a personal villian system (I won't use the word Nemesis for obvious reasons) we'll also get a personal "contact" like turner that we have to rescue over and over.

Contact: "Hero X! Thank God! Your personal friend at the Paragon Times has gotten into trouble with the Circle of Thorn again."

Hero X: "Ugh. Not again." Sigh. "Okay, what happened this time?"

Contact: "He went to interview the Ice Thorn Casters to see if there really was discrimination between the elemental sorcerers and the Madness and Death Mages."

Hero X: "What? Is he insane?"

Contact: "He's a reporter, so by definition . . ."

Hero X: "What was I thinking the day I rescued that guy when he got thrown from the Tram . . ."

Mission Objective: Rescue Turner from Circle. One hapless reporter to rescue. Recover story notes.

I knew this would happen one day. He kept telling me that the readers wanted more in-depth reporting. So he started to take risks. He wanted to do more hard-hitting stuff.

Now this... poor guy. I hope he turns up some day. I'm going to miss him.

Shocking and sad!

So... does that mean that his job is available for an intrepid reporter?

...why's everyone looking at me like that?

Aha! So the Paragon legend that shall one day return as a villain is not Hero 1 from his dimensional picnic, but the mighty Jackson Turner.

*shakes with fear and the knowledge that the pen is mightier than the sword. And Jackson has plenty of pens*

Um, Jackson is faking this incident to be rescued by Statesman, just to get an interview?

Crafty tactics, Mr. Turner, but it's been done.

I agree me smells something rank coming out of the FBSA, with the whole sirens call mess and the questions asked by Jackson I think I smell a coverup inside the agency. maybe Jackson has gone undercover to the rouge islands to find out?
