About time. Now where is Manticore's newspaper?
[/ QUOTE ]
He already gets the comic book and you want him to have a newspaper too? Media fatigue is a horrible thing, you know. -
Frankly, people have been getting away with far too much for far too long. Yeah, sometimes a thread catches a lock and shouldn't have, but more often than not in the past, threads were allowed to live when they should have been put out of their misery.
The mods have been more lock-happy recently than in the past, but they really should have been from the start, and not gotten people into the habit of useless rants. -
Noes... My brute is patron-less!
Good luck, Shane. Was good having you on board. -
If ever there was a post suitable for this: DOOOOOOOOM!!!
Best of luck with TR (And from the looks of that game, don't think you're gonna be rid of this Badger so soon, hehe). You've really been a huge part of building this community and that can't have been easy. I'm sure even the most jaded veterans appreciate that.
I said this in Gil's farewel thread and Arctic's welcome thread, and it applies in your case as well: You leave some mighty big shoes to fill.
That said, I know Cricket can step up and I for one welcome our new insect overlord. -
Vyv did, I believe, leave us. This is just Citric performing thread necromancy.
-
Hehe, that's good stuff.
What's the rule on abusing player status effects to receive powers you normally don't have, such as superjumping or superspeed when stunned? -

If it spawns on exitting the mission, how do you control what zone he spawns in (for instance, how did you expect to spawn him in SC when I'm certain that the mission isn't located there).
[/ QUOTE ]
My point exactly! Everyone is talking about "making Kronos Spawn in zone X" and then I get 2 replies saying he is an ambush after a certain mish from Crimson in a certain story arc. To my knowledge, missions are given a specific location, thus you cannot control where the mission that spawns the ambush will show up.
Secondly, I saw the screenies of the 3 Kronos in one zone. That slightly disproves the ambush theory as it substantiates the "making it spawn" statement. However, game mechanics only allows one or the other to be true.
So again the question, HOW did you make the Kronos spawn? or more specifically, how did you organize yourselves to create multiple simultaneous spawns in one zone? (namely the one poster who claimed to making it spawn in X zone "just because")
[/ QUOTE ]
He spawns at the location of the mission owner when completing the mission. So the trick is to leave before the mission finishes, get to where you want to spawn him and have a team mate still in the mission defeat the last mobs. -
Urgh... thanks for the painful memory. I see my scrapper under a lifted titan foot right there in the hells yeah picture. It hurt a lot very soon after.
As for the ultimate showdown: Kronos vs Chrystal Titan. -
Take care out there, and thanks for the great work you've done here.
-
Well Artic... I posted as one of the first people in your welcome thread that you had some big shoes to fill after taking over for Gil.
They were filled. Have fun out there. -
Nice... Now I just wish theyød get those last two issues of the BK comic up. I know how it ends... But I wanna see it.
-
Oh, that was brilliant.
And I'm trading in my jingle jet for a Cuppacopter.
(edited because my spelling just provided ample proof of why I could never write something that good) -

My main is a Fire/Fire/Energy TankShe was going to be F/F/F but I didn't like the Fire ancillary pool as much as I had hoped I would.

OMG!!!Eleventyone!!! J00 r fire tank, PL meh, ktx?
Right, sorry about that. All better now. -
Let me be the first to say: [censored]???

Welcome, Arctic_sun.
You have some big shoes to fill, and as I don't play pen and paper games, I have no idea about the stuff you did before. Those who do seem suitably impressed, though, so I have faith that you will bring the same quality to this game that your predecessor did.
So... yeah. Welcome, good to have you on board. -
Well damn... I suspected things were about to change when Jackson went missing, but this I had not seen coming.
Others have said things better than I can, so I will leave it at this: Thank you for the stories, Gil. Paragon Times, forums or in the game, they have always been entertaing.
Best of luck where ever you go next. -
Aha! So the Paragon legend that shall one day return as a villain is not Hero 1 from his dimensional picnic, but the mighty Jackson Turner.
*shakes with fear and the knowledge that the pen is mightier than the sword. And Jackson has plenty of pens* -
Yes! As someone who is just getting to the levels where earth thorns are starting to show up, I was seriously considering not doing any more CoT missions when I read about these guys. Especially since I'm no fan of Orenbega maps, but that's for another discussion:-)
-
Well, no comics for me, so what they put in them is of little concern to me. (Not whining, I knew this when I signed up).
As for the "day in the life of a citizen", it's being done in spectacularly funny fashion here at City of Zeroes -
Well, actually the end of the article mentions that the MAGI folks as well as the magic origin heroes are the descendants of Mu. The coven makes sense too, though.
-
This thread delivers. And as a fellow first timer to the genre, I can relate to so much of it. I have to wonder about you waiting for flashback for MM to get the Devilfish badge. Other than actually being in IP when he spawns, I see no reason you can't get it. If you worry about xp distribution in the team, you could always examplar.

Great stuff, although I feel a bit bad for her:
"Out of this reorganization, the City Representatives office was totally overhauledlargely due to the efforts of Ms. Moreira herself."
The poor woman is standing in that lobby 24/7, so she's likely never even seen said overhauled office
And I'd just like to add my support for an article on the amazing misplacer of artifacts, Ms Azuria. -
Ironically, I found my new favorite just above this topic.

One of my personal faves:
Roland- Named Malta boss. Gunslinger. For those of you literary-deprived souls out there, Roland is the main character in Stephen King's opus work The Dark Tower
[/ QUOTE ]

Roland goes back farther than The Gunslinger. hehe.
[/ QUOTE ]
Given the dark theme, there is another connection to King's Roland Gillead and his dark tower than can be considered a litterary classic worthy of a CoH reference. Robert Browning's 1855 "Childe Roland to the dark tower came". This is the poem that inspired King to write the gunslinger stories and well worth a read on its own merit.
