It's not monkeys. Vicious and Wild monkeys do not give the badge. I believe zookeper is for Kraken, which is broken.

Makes sense, although some of the NPC dialogue as you're going through the door missions are misleading to that. I did a Malta mission where a Malta NPC said something in regards to "hiring" the Knives.
Costume & concept-wise though, they do seem to have ties to Malta now that you mention it. Thanks Positron!

I wonder how long before we start hearing/reading about badge stealing.
Only one Babbage and about two dozen heroes trying to do enough damage to earn a Babbage badge. It may sound lame, but I bet its going to happen

I suppose we'll hear it at first about Babbage since he's so hard to find in Boomtown. However, as people do the Synapse TF and actually fight Babbage there, the demand will lessen. Adamastor and Kraken, on the other hand, are spawn only finds and may result in some shouting matches. People will just have to accept the fact that sometimes they got there too late and someone else is taking care of the monster.
perhaps they should up the spawn rate...seeing Kraken roam around Everette lake keeps XP groups on their toes as it should be.

Can anyone confirm this? I've run through that thing many many times (died everytime); I've also tried approaching from different sides. I don't see a badge icon under the main Nucleus. I've died about 8 times trying to get this damn badge.
My guess is, when you defeat Hami, you can get it. Much like the Hydra Head badge- need to be on the trial to have a shot at it.
Thoughts?
Yeah the one time I know he spawned he kept all the hydra farmers away for about five minutes even after he was defeated.

I believe someone mentioned to me that Babbage spawns every four hours in Boomtown... but that actually seems like a rather highe estimate to me.
well he didn't show up overnight unless his wander range is the whole zone but i checked the entire grenadiar villiage and most of other high level area and found no giant robots walking around :P
the two times i've found Kraken he was well outside of everette lake just minding his own business

yes, i was there. That's where i got it. Idid a little running around, it may not be directly in the middle, but I have the badge.
just killed some praetorians, no badge xp. Killed a praetorian boss also, and nothing.
that badge must be mislabeled.
I was wondering, but how did you guys get the names of the badges before anyone has recieved them? When i look at my badge list all i see is a bunch of qustion marks with some of them giving subtle hints (non tourism) .
Also to find them are you guys just literally running around every square inch of the city, or am i missing markers or something that give them away? The history plaques i can see that there are pedistals, i found one in IP. But the normal badges dont seem to be anything except a invisible hot spot. But i could be missing something.
I just want to know because if my badges are not supposed to be all question marks i will /bug it.

However.
The tourism badges _are_ visible on the ground, if only barely. A small medallion with the tourism-badge symbol on it.

I found adamastor in NE of DA. Me and Black Horse killed him and got the Keeper of Secrets badge.
We looked in Boomtown for Babbage for about 15 minutes in Grenadier Village and then called it quits.
I have never seen him spawn in BT...
I guess it would be out of the question to name the badge title "spanking the monkey".
