  1. Well, On the CoH Ustream live chat they state that there is another round of global ehancments comming in (about 2mins in) so I'd guess that would be the Omega slot.

I'd guess that there would be some kind of defensive buff, possably a toggle, perhaps Hybrid or Vitae. That fits with the Tank AT if that really is the theme they are going for. Also a Melee baised attack would be very nice. If so, I hope it is one without too much in the way of special effects, but just some devestating display of strength.

Some kind of status effect attack for Mind seems like a good bet. Perhaps working like the interface proc does, but that might be a touch on the powerful side.

Genisis.... That is a difficult one. The name makes you think of something creative, so if we didn't already have Lore, I would have gone for Pets for this on. A self heal or short term buff perhaps?
  2. I've not to try any of the endgame raids atm, but i am very much looking forward to it. The only trouble is that given I have a young son, the time that I am playing the most is when I've gotten up in the morning given him his feed and put him back to sleep. It's kinda difficult to find people to group with at 6:30am!

I guess what I am trying to say, is that it would be nice if there was some endgame stuff that could be solo'd and would earn you some incarnate XP. At the moment it's frustraitingly out of reach.
  3. Best of luck for the future GR, your presence will be missed.
  4. If they had the choice between working on Issue 14 and doing more for the valentines day then I know what I would choose. The valentines event always seemed a bit extraneous anyway.

I don’t think the Devs have been sitting on their hands for the last few months. Hopefully they have been working hard to add things to the game that will be permanent features, rather than things that are only active for 2-3 weeks out of the year.

Another thing i would like to see is being able to tie a power into a cossie. Like Moment of Glory for example, when activeating it, i'd change into a cossie, then when it runs out, i'd change back to the cossie i had before.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That is ok to macro if the power in question is a toggle, I've done it for one of my villans who changes from a snappy suit to a winged vampire when he flys. You just need two macros, one to costume change and turn the toggle on, and one to change the costume back and de-toggle the power.

Come to think about it, i have done a similar thing for 'Unstoppable' with my /Invuln. brute as well, but I have to catch the macro to change him back when it is running out.

I will post up the macro text if people want.

I would like some fancy animations to go with them though
  6. Ok, I don’t often visit this part of the forums much, so forgive me if this has been gone over before.

Partially inspired by the most recent CoH mac ad/video, how about the idea of having range of different ‘costume change’ emotes that trigger when you change costume. I can think of a couple that would be really cool:

‘The wonder woman’ – spinning around in a blur for a few seconds
Throwing a smoke bomb at your feet
    A large energy flash

I’m sure that people can think of more. They would have to be big and clourfull enough to cover the actual change.

They could either be put in as slash commands so that they can be put in macros or they could be some part of the interface, like having one for each costume chosen at the Taylor or having one chosen from a drop-down list on the character select screen.

I have no idea how practical it would be, as I know nothing about game design or graphics/animation. But it would be cool.
  7. I think it should be said, I would much rather the devs spent their time adding new content to the game, rather than make cosmetic changes like power customisation. I mean, they are going to want to make this game apealing in the light of its competators, and lets be honest, how much greater hold will power customisation have over cool new zones, missions and powers? As far as i'm concerned (and before any-one points it out I spend as much time in the tailor as anyone) no much.

Oh, and while I'm not convinced they will do another retail box, how about 'City of Conflict' or 'City of War'?

    Academic Badge

Well I guess that clears that one up. It's only the second time I think I've ever been down there, so I think I can be forgiven

I guess that shows that even 3 year vets can have Noob Moments!!!!

    Academic Badge

    Hi all,

I was doing a bit of badge hunting this afternoon, rounding out my collection of history badges, but I couldn't find the Plaque in the sewer network for the Academic history badge.

I checked Paragon wiki, Badge hunter and Videot maps, and searched around the area they say it's in (465, -568, -1558) but could not find it. Am I going mad?

I even took a screne cap of where I think it sould be...

Any help? Has it been moved?
  10. Wow, did I just… change some-one’s mind via the internet?? *Faints*.

    Any time Sal.

Heh, I had almost forgotten the winter event was coming. Bring on those Halo’s…
  11. It’s interesting, isn’t it?

How we tend to make our own games within games. I mean, badges were meant to be ways to show you characters achievements as you played the game, rather than hunted for the completeness.

But gamers being gamers, some of us have made a game within a game of collect all the badges. And that’s what’s so great about MMO’s you can play them in any way that you like, and make games within the game.

Of course with the day jobs they are adding a new system to the game, and I really don’t think that it is indented that we don’t play our characters in order to get them (although I too understand the lure of collecting badges). If we choose to play the game differently, it’s our choice and we can’t really criticise the Dev’s for making us play that way. The system was put there for people who can only get on 2-3 times a week, so they have something nice waiting for them when they log back on, and to add a little bit more immersion into the game.

For myself, I am interested to see that they are trying to get 3 issues out in around 5 months. Ambitious perhaps.

    This.

They are going to cause massive amounts of Nerd rage on the american forums if issue 15 isn't out by April 28th. Luckily us more measured chaps at this side of the atlantic will be able to relax with a glass of port and a cigar while we watch the fireworks.

I'll be glad if they can pull it off, but still.

On the subject of the fifth, I'm so up for fighting Nazi's on the moon... that would be true awesome.
  13. I hope so.

I am willing to be patient though. After all, it always gets so Laggy after an issue is released that I normally end up waiting a couple of days before logging on anyway.
  14. I almost feel sorry for them... I hope they manage to keep as thick a skin as BaBs and Castle seem to.

I think that Synapse did a good job of calming my concerns on the merit system, but I'm not completely sold just yet

    Hami Raid

    Wow, A hami Raid.

I don't know if I'm free on saturday or not, but I'd be interested in comming along, as long as you don't mind a total hami-raid noob filling a space
  16. I guess that we will all have to use our imaginations. Was there ever any fluff about vampires, witches and warewolves bursting out of doors in paragon city ever october? If so I must have missed that one.
  17. Hi, Thanks for the reply, I've PM'd you back, but I did it before readig this post...

I should be online tonight, so I'll see if I can find any of your members and have a chat.
  18. Hi Everyone, I've decided to give up my long history of lurking to see if any of you can help me and a friend find a new and fun SG to be a part of. Let me start at the begining...

Back when I started the game, quite a number of my old friends from Uni were in the game so we decided to get togeather and form a supergroup so that we could all play and roleplay togeather on a regular basis. As time has passed however, they have drifted away from the game, leaving myself and a friend the only active members of the group.

As we are casual players (I can only really get on once or twice a week) we don't have the time to build up our own group with new members, so we are looking to join an established group and would like to know what guilds out there are recruiting and a little bit about them (size, requirements, background regular activities). I'm especially interested to hear about any Role-playing groups out there.

    Oh, and thanks in advance!
