I have subscribed to your mailing list.
  2. My enjoyment of them is majorly impacted by getting tips to the wrong side.

Trying to get the badges on my villian is a pain in the rear. Having to earn then drop a dozen bad tips before getting one I can actually go to the zone for is crap design.

    Please Help!

Power bloat is an issue. It gets worse the more powers you collect from temps, purchased or leveling. Adding macros for MM and it gets hard to manage.

Forget the numbers, and enjoy the powers you use is good advice.

    Binds can help a lot.

e.g. I have /bind shift+N "powexecname ninja run" by default on on my characters. When I want ninja run, I press shift & n to turn it on or off. That's one less thing on my power trays. If the character doesnt want to use ninja run, I change the bind to beast run, super speed etc.

Similarily, all my build ups are numpadenter. Aim is shift+numpadenter, saved again as default for all characters. I changed the build up one for embrace of fire for my /fire dom but I still know: Numpadenter for damage increase.

I normally have 5 trays out. main powers & useful temps in the 3 trays I use keyboard to move, so 1-2-3, are normally single target, alt1-alt2-al3 normally aoe attacks, with less used like rest ending somewhere in tray 2/3 at the back.

I have one tray vertical up the side of the screen near my main power trays with stuff I like to monitor, eg Aim. I fire it off with keyboard bind, but like to know when its recharged.

And a final tray near the inspiration dock where travel click powers like Market TP, O Portal, base TP, pocket D plus vet stuff like the self rez and buff pet.

Normally trap 9 has temps and little used powers. Yu can use the + and - on keybard to change the bottom tray, so I can change to it quickly if need be. (pressing - once). Normally pet summons for my non MMs.

You also dont need every power out on a tray. Right click and remove. Or use /cleartray and sort them from the start again.

    HTH
  4. Its a game, have fun.
    Pay stuff forward.

Really... we have to do them again...

Whether you choose to believe it, that's entirely up to you.
Yet according to the annoucement post its a saving of 600 points, which is pretty clearly showing that the bundle is including the value of the repeated stuff.

  8. What did you skimp on when slotting? Thats typically how I look at it.

    Gasping for blue? Cardiac.
Slotted for holds more than damage? Musculature.
Need more a buffer with hasten for permadom? Spiritual.

    etc.

    Stop him !!

I've recommanded Dell for many end users as their support is pretty good. You can get cheaper computers (or better computers for the price) so depends on the value you put on customer support.
My worst experiences with an unhelpdesk were with Acer - never again.
  10. I skipped mesmerize & telekinesis on my last build with my mind/thorn and waiting to see how I find it. As said above, it is useful as an off switch. I skipped levitate instead of mesmerize the build before. Mesmerize would prob serve me better if I was seeking solo AV fights, but I missed the sure fling up in the air from levitate - even minimally slotted its effective (and fun).

My build has 103% + hasten for permadom, and softcap'd S/L def which I find so very handy. Softcapping s/l with permadom will prob require either Ice or Scorpion epics, I heart Ice with its sleet and shield.

I slot the contiguous confusion in mass confusion. I find I seldom use the single target confusion at 50 and i-pimped. More targets in mass confusion gives it more chance to trigger, and I'm often fighting at x6 to x8 so am over the normal mass confuse cap.

My typical approach is more or less use the T3 Judgement to melt the first mob save a few bosses, mass confuse implodes the next mobs's alpha combined with a barrage of AoE, Mass dominate + sleet + ice storm destroys next then its back to Judgement.
You have to be pretty slack at killing for mass confuse not to increase to XP/time.

Mind can take a lot of the cheaper purple sets for easy recharge.
  11. Where oh where is the talk for enforced RPGing. After all, it's a MMORPG, we should be forcing a level of role play from players to gain end game rewards.

Which, is just a stupid as inisting multiplayer = forced teaming.
  12. -range in shiver does sound great.

Meh. Inf rains from the sky in paragon. I only bother finding a bucket to hold it when I want it.
  14. I'd post this in the exalted server forum, they already have a trade name thread there.
  15. I hate teams that herd.

Also I guess you mean herding without agro cap.

That said, it wouldn't bother me how you play, or if agro cap got raised esp,.like Roderick's suggestion.
  16. Nearly always:
    • A knock back protect IO for non melee types asap, normally a lvl 10 one in combat jumping at lvl 7.
    • 3 knock back protects IOs for any melee type without knockback protect.
IME, you might as well stay with 1 (4points) for 90% of the knock back effects, and you need 10 points of protect at least for nearly everything else.
    • Stealth IO. Typically asap, I have low level ones in a base, and when I respec I change for a higher level one, putting the lowbie one back. Tanking types will put it in a Prestige sprint. Only my ill controller and stalkers don't have one as I find it useful stacking with other stealth powers like mist.
    • Numinas/Miracle in health. AT least one, mostly both.
    • Perform shift +end, and Endmod (most of my characters will later 3 or 4 slot with another perf shifter)
    Often
    • Kismet +accuracy which really boosts tohit. I'll often have one while leveling but swap it out when it gets to higher levels and respecing when slots get tight & I'm getting global +accuracy
    • Regen tissue - though I'll have to rethink if a numina's heal beats it when with the numina proc, I'll prob change method for future builds.
    • Steadfast +def is in a lot of my end builds.
    • LoTG global recharge(s) is in a lot of my builds.
    • I like to have one attack/aura with a lot of damage procs
  17. Thanks for the replies and builds.

Really helpful to look how other people have slotted and made thiers.

Will go back to drawing board and tinker with new insight.
  18. I feel sorry for the rikti on the medical table in RWZ. Its twisted what they have done to that body.
  19. Skipping except on the bow as a single purchase.

Buying the rest of the pieces would only be for a convenience unlock, which I'm fine with, except I would still need to unlock stuff after buying it so, umm no.

Also not liking the value, or the trend of time limited sales.

Paragon store is training me quite nicely that I don't need to spend points every week, or need everything coming out.

When a Rare IO set is introduced and goes on sale, the 50% discount is applied to the "set", and to the Rare IOs.

The Uncommon IO (Decimation 1 of 6) is left at the regular price.
    Bizarre.
It's like you want lots of traps for unwary customers.

Same here mostly. Though I will often join the queue when marketing or hanging around in base at any level.
  21. Yeah, seen that exact add a few times. As I pretty much stop running trials at +3, never been tempted to join or bother to find out how strict it is.

It does however, show you locations for badges, day jobs, enemy group locations and level ranges, Rikti dropship paths, zone event/GM markers, plaques, and probably a few other things I'm forgetting. Very handy, I highly recommend it.
Pretty sure Forbin is talking about the download that puts that stuff on your ingame map when you rae playing, not just using the browser page with the map which is what it seems you think it is.

I like the SG/VG beacon replacements as well - that are text so you can see easily from across the room which teleportor goes where. I forget where I got them though.

I've found virtue runs with however many end up in there via random LFG. People forming them seem to wait until 8.
