    they had a way of tagging powers in terms of it's effects depending on whether the target of the power was a critter or a player.

    i see you aren't very well informed in terms of this.

    you ever thought "hmmm i wonder how my AS is resistible by critters, but when i AS a player it's not?" or "i wonder why my heat loss drains minions but it gives end to other players?".

    if target = critter has been around since the introduction of pvp.

    it's the way irresistible damage worked back then. it's also the reason why things like heat loss were bugged and gave player targets end rather than draining it.

    pve:

    fire: fire blast, fireball, blaze, rain of fire, fire breath (in that order)
    storm: take everything except thunder clap.

  8. i've pvp'd on a poison since my ninja poison turned 20 and entered lolbloodybay 3 years ago. i actually ended up playing poison on the pvp ladder while it was enjoyable (prior to i13).

    DO NOT TAKE TOUGH.
    first off you need tactics.
    you do not need weave.
    and do not drop paralytic poison. having two holds is definitely worthwhile on the recharge both of them are at.
    slot paralytic poison. get rid of fighting.
    take tactics.

    finally, don't slot 5 performance shifters into stamina, the damage bonus only applies to you, not the pets, and on a poison you won't be doing enough for it to be significant. those slots are best used elsewhere.

    in pve, go mu for conserve power.

    in pvp you're gonna need a huge recovery build especially with DR hitting end recovery, and it's really tight overall (my fully io'd rad/storm with 3 attacks had to forsake o2 boost to get to an acceptable recharge rate. i ended up taking veng instead of o2 for the lotg spot). it's really expensive but DEFINITELY worth the investment. you're also gonna be at a disadvantage with fire/* as you wont have a toggle dropping mez in pvp unless you take it from a patron and that makes the build even tighter.

    bad general case scenario.

    when you have enough pvp recipes to make thunderstrike hit harder than with 5 armageddons and an obliteration proc let me know.
  12. there was an elec/kin in RV last night and couple with my rad/storm there were fully drained melee's everywhere.

    pretty awesome really.

    lightning storm + transference + short circuit = oh snap.
  13. possesed scientists are odd. they seem to have static drop rates as compared to other groups (you always get salvage from the first spawn)

  16. I'm for all except the exclusion of the office map for 2v2s, especially with the buff players time period and the no 2 stalkers rule. Legislating team composition is meh.

    Also, maybe allow for two toons to be signed up as to not have people play the statistical counter game (hey guys, there's a lot of ff's signed up, lets roll double kins to counter them (not that anyone would)).
  17. Since they nerfed the fact that I could enhance the recharge on my lighting storm's attack, as well as on my voltaic sentinel, can we get a recharge buff on the powers of non-problematic pets?
  18. it's a nice pet, but compared to things like the corallax or the fortunata, it somewhat pales.

    at least that was my experience pre-i13 on my fire/cold/mace.

  20. in the arena, i force them into elude early on, spend 3 minutes running, come back and destroy them for the next 3 minutes.

    sounds cheap but it works wonders. it makes people so angry. that's mainly why i do it.

    mind/* will hit through consistently though, so you can just use your primary and ignore elude.

    /thorns will -def them nicely, but the thing with thorns is that the lethal + toxic dmg makes it worthless against a lot of opponents. for example, half good regens will give you a hard time, as will any squishy with inherent resists. blasters will give you a hard time too. fighting most melee's is pretty hilarious though.

    earth/* should be able to -def elude quite a bit, but the -def debuff resistance is still gonna be an issue. widow elude is laughable though. this also applies to thorns.

    /elec is sexy though. if you throw poisonous ray (or water spout), pop force of nature, build up and jump them, you will three shot an /sr scrapper. just remember to FINISH with thunderstrike. otherwise the scaling resists will keep you from getting a kill.

    so yeah, the best way to go about it on any single dom build, is to run around and come back and destroy them during the crash / after it.

    otherwise, mind/*, earth+elec/thorns, anything+elec/water spout/poisonous ray.

  21. i would ban 2 stalker vs 2 stalker matches though. not that it even makes sense.


    also, dr makes stalkers a lot more visible than you may think. those 10 feet become like 20. 20 is a huge radius.
