thanks. i have a large collection, but the descriptions may be weird. still wondering why it was mixing ska with metal.
-
seriously marcian, im only getting 4 mixes, is am not seeing any options to refine it, nor did i find anything on apple's site, any hints? they are mixing some weird genres together too.
wish you had done it with windows media player, itunes just doesn't strike me as as user friendly. and my lack fo experience with it is showing :P -
well, i have to nominate the lightsaber fight from episode 1. darth maul ruined me for lightsaber fights after being just that @#$%ing awesome. yes, the end of it was poorly done, but the thrust side-kick he knocks obi wan back with..i was on the heavy bag for weeks trying to get mine that crisp. It is about 90% of why i defend the prequel trilogy, that scene, with its music, was just that amazing.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPLXwrj7i7Q "the kick" at 42 secs
also, bruce lee fights the night guards in enter the dragon.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIlBZ2uQyHg
also, for the fans of tony jaa, the movie chocolate had some amazing fight scenes, except instead of tony jaa, it is with a young girl kicking an impressive amount of butt. the acting is blah, the depiction of autism was over the top, but the fight scenes were amazing. here is one to dissuade you from being a thai stunt-man http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkQykU6ZDm0 -
you listen to superchick? good man. ill post up mine shortly.
is there a way to get more mixes? i only got 4. is there an options thing? -
Quote:i missed that part, prior to seeing pics of you, i always thought you were more of a girly-girl...in a positive way, of courseIt's why the old Marcian actually obfuscated his gender. He made a post stating some sexist undertones in a certain product, and multiple people started decrying him as "just some angry butchy lesbian" (and variations on that). It was amazing.
Anyway, that was old Marcian. Season 4. The 5th Season Marcian is a llama. -
Windows media player playing symphonic metal, ska or dance music....
fighting large numbers of enemies at once, watching a good dragon's tail launch an entire crowd around me, and hopping in on all invasions, because they tend to throw huge numbers of enemies at me at once, mothership raids also feed my mass beatdown needs.
Telling multiple dirty jokes on LB, and ill hop on teams if they ask.
huntingfor players that seem confused, and checking badges to see if i can grab a new player-my tremendous ego feeds on helping new players. occasionally i get an alt account of a regular, but i have caught a few newbies.
spendingabout 20% of my time in icon fine tuning my character's look exactly. I once spent 30 minutes and 3 tokens varying a character's height around a half a foot. because he was just...too...tall... -
and those are the entirety of the movie, right? I can find sly in-jokes in chowder, that doesn't mean that it is targeted directly at 35 year olds. if you look at who the scott pilgrim comics are aimed at, it is usually younger than a bunch of actors who were primarily acive in the mid 80s. (yes statham is one of the exception, along with erry crews and the mma guys), but dolph lundgrin, sly, bruce willis? we know what era they made their names in.
-
In their defense, scott pilgrim does seem to be pitched far more for a younger audience, coh'ers tend to be older. thats why we remember when most of these guys were action film heroes in the expendables, and are excited.
-
off the top of my head, at least 4. maybe a reroll too.
-
my answer, give em time. they generally only proliferate a set at a time per at, and we only had 2 passes, i suspect that eventually it will come over.
-
That was in fragile things if i recall, yeah his short story collections were amazing. he did a creepy snow white too. would have made alan moore hide under his bed.
-
well, as a neil gaimen fan, i have seen areas where authors have expanded simple nursery rhymes into some fairly engaging stories, so while he has more than 3 trusted lieutenants, i wouldnt be shocked if some reference was gone for. a lot of nursery rhymes are about significantly gloomy events anyhow.
-
hmm, a nerd split? jet li brings me in. (had they also hired ray park, id have lost my mind) but scott will be seen in due time.Quote:see, no offense tal, but that is one reason i don't like michael cera stuff, the awkward humor moments like that. everyone has their own tastes, but to me that scene in the commercials is just the most grating example of bad pacing i have ever seen. also why i cant stand most wes anderson stuff or napoleon dynamite.I'm watching Scott Pilgrim!
Why?
Because he's in love with her. Was that not clear?
*Looks at band*
...Was that not clear? -
One of my characters, sea-anemone may go undercover to infiltrate and rob mako's secrets, but she is beating it back heroside after she has nicked the ppp. She is sea themed, and wants to throw some sharks. I think like a lot of older players, i made my current crop with their alignments "baked into" them, so switching would be contrary to their origins. I have a few (in my opinion) interesting rp reasons for some going gray, but full switches, that would go agianst fundamental aspects i already have set on my characters.
-
i might turn a few grey for conceptual reasons, but only about one existing character is getting a full switch, and she was made with that purpose.

Quote:if i were a betting man, rather than a cheapskate, this would be one thing i would bet to be part of the "surprise". I know nothing, but the hint of both things we have been asking for for a long time AND the proliferation of enemy parts certainly strongly suggests it to me (people have been asking for sky raider porter backpacks forever). maybe i'm wrong, but it is the elephant in the room any time we discuss costume parts, and they know that this is one area that "you know who" has. So if they can work it out, they will make a lot of people happy. This is something which has always puzzled me. Why? Why do so many other things, fiddle with so many seemingly more complicated problems, and yet never so much as touch back items? We've been asking for these from the very beginning! And I'm not just saying that to exaggerate. I've been here since 2004 and I know how long I've been asking for this. Why is that such a big problem?
-
Miles edgeworth is on the case. ya know, after being immersed in uncounted stories of heroes fighting different enemeies, and moreso if the nerds were also book, anime, comic and action film buffs, this isnt entirely far off. the flesh may be corpulent and asthmatic, but the spirit is often willing.

well, david"noble savage" nakayama has teased a few times in the art thread that something big is coming, dunno what, but so far he has been pretty good to his word. so my guess is, strong probability of something going on, but nothing concrete as to what.

i bounce around. a lot, my favorite groups at the current time are five iron frenzy, brave saint saturn, Tori amos, Emilie Autumn, Nightwish , Alestorm, Abney park, Leaves eyes, and Dr. Steel. I have been dabblin in euro-dance/techno lately, kind of have to sort through which groups have imaginitive sounds, and which simply sound like regular songs played at fast forward. I tend to prefer female lead singers, and faster paced music , also dabble in religious music, sturgeons law applies, but five iron and bss were some strong finds with consistently good cd's. also have been doing soem themed metal styled music lately, with alestorm being pirate themed, abney being steampunk/pirate themed, dr steel being mad scientist themed and leaves being viking themed. not much into rap, though i have seena few good groups who make meaningful lyrics and not just materialistic nonsense, so tend to listen to Jurassic five, some talib kwali and old tribe called quest. can take some pop, and really dont listen to much country, but dont actively dislike it, just need a more directed guide to get to the good stuff and avoiding the lesser stuff.
for ingame stuff, i tend to gravitate to faster metal, blind guardian, dragonforce, and alestorm tend to be the big ones, particularly for tf's with large groups. -
6 years in, and my ma/sr namesake is still the most enjoyable. status protection is incredibly important, good damage, and over the years i have managed to whittle down the look to exactly how i want him. I do tend to vacillate a bit as far as epics go, the ONLY conceptual thing id need is frost breath(he is a dragon) but otherwise, its largely a concept thing, he hits like a truck, survives a significant amount of damage and looks damn good. plus over the years, ma/sr has seen an amount of changes that have kept him feeling fresh.

+ rep, you did forget to mention that you were a paying customer, i wonder if people know what that term means to retail/customer service workers . it is generally a very bad admission to make.

in olden days a glimpse of stockings was looked on as something shocking, now heaven knows, anything goes.

my first reaction is "how in the hell is vegita memorable?" if you are out of high school then the limited character design and cliche'd characterizations of dbz should be pretty much twilight level nonsense to you. that said, i read this as lone originally not knowing the rules, which is why he made that homage versus ripoff thread a while ago, learning the rules better and trying to help a guy. given the guy's reaction, he knew what he was doing, and didnt care.

I didnt know about it till you just mentioned it. Just figured i had a caps in the wrong part of my login or something. i went grocery shopping and played some dragon quest XI blissfully ignorant of anything. I unlocked rangers, woo, hello higher crit rate.
