  1. Crippling Axe Kick hits as hard as crane kick used to (They almost doubled the damage!). Crane kick hits as hard as eagle claw used to. Eagle Claw hits even harder.

    What you lost in I6 was;
added 2 secs recharge to Crane kick
added 2 secs recharge to eagle Claw.
Remove the immob from crippling Axe kick.
Damage from thunderkick. The 2,7 it used to have, was lowered to 2,3.

I'am going to start with a controller, just to test him.
So first i wonder which primary and secondary power is good?
And if there is something you want to tell me, a tips or something, come with it, i'am very new to the game so i appricate every help i can get =)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, it mainly depends on your preference.

if a team is just looking for any old controller, empathy is a nice secondary..however, I've always loved kinetics....illusion is VERY fun...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Empathy is IMO the worst secondary for a controller. The only way I think it can work its ok is with the illusion primary. Here you can limit your self to playing support only. With every other primary, you need an active role and empathy doesnt add greater control.
I would say rad is the best PvE secondary and storm the best PvP secondary.
  3. Ive seen Ice/nrg blasters with good builds doing lousy damage.
Ive seen masterminds who where prime targets cause they knew how to use them. Masterminds can be great.
Ive seen lots of controllers unable to do anything but die.
Ive seen villains rip through lvl50's like a hot knife through butter.

I have never seen a single player that couldnt be taken out.
I have never seen a team that was untouchable.
  4. The Paragon Defenders will be there.
  5. [ QUOTE ]

Hasten will cripple your End use unless you have some End Regen and is not really useful that early.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It is usefull for pvp that early. It will get aim/build up to recharge faster and thos giving you more kills.
    [ QUOTE ]

As you're using Energy Secondary, I don't think two Acc's are necessary, I can keep up a 85% hit rate with one. (This is especially if you're using Aim and Build up in serial)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Aim or buildup isnt always up, and Cap Freon wants to hit anyway. Remember the build isnt PvE.

    [ QUOTE ]

Only take Aim or Build up early, as either will tend to max your Acc.

    [/ QUOTE ]

If you dont take both aim and build up ASAP, you gimp youre blaster. This is for both PvE and PvP.

    [ QUOTE ]

Whirlwind is not really that good unless you have the defences to hold off all the aggro it will gain.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Dont leave home without it, if you plan to pvp.

    [ QUOTE ]

Bonesmasher is ok but no better; Energy punch is dire (imho).

    [/ QUOTE ]

Bonesmasher is by far the best PvP attack from enery melee. Much better than total focus.
1 of the best PvP (maybe also PvE) attack chains in the game is:
nrg punch -> power thrust -> bonesmasher.
In both PvE and PvP, I think energy punch and bonesmasher are must take powers.

    [ QUOTE ]

Two travel powers? I always thought that was a little wasteful, but if you're taking Hasten anyway *shrugs*

    [/ QUOTE ]

Movement is what keeps you alive in PvP. This guy can kill all except tanks and brutes in less than 5 seconds. Prolly closer to 3.

    [ QUOTE ]

    Only 2 epics?

    [/ QUOTE ]

The rest doesnt really add for PvP.

    [ QUOTE ]

TF works very well with a Disorient slotted, in fact, I'd try to secondary slot most of your powers whilst you dump that 2nd Acc.

    [/ QUOTE ]

With 2 acc he can use it even if build up/aim isnt up.

    [ QUOTE ]

3 Slotted Run? That's...interesting...not sure how it'll cope, especially without Sprint.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Movement is everything to a blapper.

    [ QUOTE ]

Missing Ice Storm and Blizzard? Shum mistake shurely.

    [/ QUOTE ]
    No real use in PvP.
  6. My fire/storm build which Im pretty happy with. Its great in PvE and has its functions in PvP. I once kicked a lvl50 scrapper [censored] (as lvl42 without exemp.).

  7. I remove biggest threats first. That is not always a specific AT. Its often a good player with a AT that doesnt otherwise give problems, but because he knows how to use it, it becomes a problem.
  8. I dont think its a very good way at measuring balance. The AT's arent supposed to be able to do the same. A brute is something in between a tank and a scrapper. A corruptor isnt a defender, its something between a blaster and a defender.
The balance I think you're looking for isnt in powersets. Its somewhere else.

I think heroes are winning cause of something different. The simple fact that hero AT's have better roles in a team. You have defence specialists (defenders/controllers/tanks) and damage specialists (scrappers/blasters). Its very easy to make a good team, where you lower youre weaknesses cause they all add to the team by adding different aspects.

With villains its a different story. Corruptor cant choose to focus on one aspect of his build. If he does, he sucks. A dominator cant focus on holding alone and if he does, he will be outshined by a controller. A brute cant focus on tanking alone, he doesnt have the required protection.
Every AT has a dual job to do.

    An example
1 defender and 1 blaster Vs. 2 corruptors.
The defender doesnt have to deliever damage. His job is to protect the blaster and him/her self. The blaster doesnt have to worry about defence, its not his job. His job is damage.
Corruptors both have a dual job. They need to heal/debuff/buff which all removes time from one aspect.
  9. Stalkers
Stalkers have two things goin for them. Invis and high damage. Remove 1 of these things and they suck. Invisibility is easily countered (clear mind, stacked tactics, lucks and so on).
The devs should think really hard before making damage changes.

    SR Uber or not?
Well its the only scrapper type that has a chance against trollers in a 1on1 situation.
  10. I have no experience with Claws, but I will try to comment anyway.
Follow up is the bloody build up power! It recharges faster than any other build up. It adds 50% damage and 50% acc and you can perma it, if you use the power in youre attack cycle. It does almost as much damage as the new thunderkick for MA. I can see no reasons to skip it.
  11. Skip the Immobs in fire cages and go for damage. The duration is great unslotted. You also need 2 stun duration in flashfire.
  12. Yeah its unbalanced. When Im on the hero side, I win and when Im on the villain side, I win.

...our heals have been nerfed by 40%.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Well the green numbers have gone down, but in terms of healing/second you werent really that badly nerfed. Before ED the best healing/sec from healing aura was 4 heals 2 recharges (if you have hasten) and Iirc closely followed by 3 recharges 3 heals. 6 Heals gave a poor result.
    Some quick calculations
Healing Aura has a base heal of 13% of your own hp and has a recharge of 8 seconds.
6 heals even lvl (ED not included)
    13% *(6* 33% + 100%) ~ 39%, so you get 39% heal every 8 seconds. Giving you a healrate of 4,875%/second

3 recharges, 3 heals (ED not included, its not that big a difference anyway)
    13% * (3*33% + 100) ~ 26%, so you get a heal of 26% every 4 seconds (3 recharge enh about 4 seconds [8/(1+3*,33)]
That gives you a healingrate of 6,5%/second.

Or if you choose to put in an end reduction instead of another recharge, you get.
    26% every [8/1+ (0,33*2)] ~4,8 seconds. Thats 5,42% heal/second.

Im too lazy to include hasten and ED in my calculations, but this will give you an idea as to why you werent that badly hit.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Er before ed 6 heals with perma hasten was the best rate of healing...

    PAs and PvP

Another thing. Yes, you do regen some of the damage from eg. spectal wounds (imaginary damage, like you call it), but only the base value. If you 3 slot it with damage, then half of the damage taken wont be regenerated, since its not base value.

    3. No, PA are immune to confuse. However, phantasms and spectral terrors aren't.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thats an anwser to a question that wasnt asked

The anwser is, Yes, if you get confused your decoys will turn and attack you

    [/ QUOTE ]
Thats a NO. Unless its something really new. Pets dont turn on you when you are confused. They only turn on you when they are confused. Since you cant confuse PA....
And Im pretty sure you cant target spectral terror. Since you cant target it, you cant confuse it.
  17. Come on Empaths. You were hardly scratched by the i5-i6 nerfs. Fortitude, RA, CM, AB didnt get touched. And healing? Just use absorb pain, you still have killer singletarget heals (no pun intended). The AoE heal works just as good 3 heals-2 recharge-1 end.

As I see it, you were actually buffed by ED. You're worth to a team went up, cause everyone else went further down.
  18. Dont use 4 of the same enh, only 3. The last slot gives so few procentages that its a waste.
  19. nightbringer_EU

    Decive

Oh your illusion. PA drop first group, hold next. Thats 2 "holds" in my book.
  20. I tried running aim, build up and powerboost against a MoG'ed scrapper. I got 10/10 misses. I dont think powerboost helps with tohit buffs. Of cause this was in combat, so its not reliable testing.

    And no I wasnt debuffed.

    Have anyone tested it?
  21. Arms, Spad, Dark Pride hmm and I think I have seem more. My guess would be somewhere between 5 and 10.
