How does brute damage compare with Scrappers?
It's less than scrappers without fury, around 70-80% i think, but a brute without fury is a badly played brute.
Lol yeah i know that. The reason i asked about it without fury was for a base to think from
How do you get any decent fury going in pvp?
I think scrapers do about 40% more dmg than brutes , i remenber reading a dev post saying the scrapers dmg was 1.25 and brute dmg 0.9 or 0.8 im not sure !!
But its easy to test it !!
Go to sirens , and compare the dmg of brawl on scrapers and brutes using the same mob !
It would be nice to know what the BI of 9 from KO blow , would be in scraper BI !
It was 0.8 but there was talk of raising it to 0.9 (same as tankers) after max fury was reduced from 350% to 250%. I dunno wether that happened or not.
If it is 0.8 the at maximum fury it is 2.8, compared to a scrapper critical of 2.5.
I really should do something about this signature.

In Sirens I find having a bit of a mash with a couple of warriors will work wonders.

What's the point in putting brawl on auto? u always have a other attack ready? And brawl really dosn't increas the fury that much
Well i for one certainly dont always have another attack charged and ready to go, but then again my brute is DM and i dont have hasten. Brawl may not add a huge amount to Fury in one go but since i've had it on auto i've had no problems keeping Fury at a decent level. Apart from the fury aspect it helps when fighting shielded bosses. With brawl constantly firing off its not very likely their shields are gonna stay on for long
Brawl increases fury exactly the same amount as any other power, and it has a short animation time. If your attack chain includes powers with longer animation times (e.g. Shadow Maul) You will not be able to build up fury as quickly.
The stratagy is to use quick attacks like brawl until your fury bar is full, then use your slower animating high damage attack.
I really should do something about this signature.
And brawl costs almost no End usage...
IIRC, base Brute damage is 0,75 while base Scrapper damage is 1,15.
(1 being Blaster damage)
Base damage, like so many have already said this, is lower than that of a scrapper, but, and i like this but, you have a far greater range of attack strength, scrappers cap at 500% (just like blasters) but brutes cap at 800%
850%, actually
I've had a weird bug in a mission tonight. I was with a son/kin corruptor friend, SMASH!'ing my way through a bank mission, and as it ended when we picked up the gold we decided to kill a few more before going out. At some point she went into the red, so she exited the mission while casting siphon power. Now - I don't know what happened. The siphon power effect kept happening over and over, so I found myself with around 35 buffs icons, and probably more effective buffs than it could display.
Let me tell you, Brute's capped damage is sweet. Orange minions died in 2 hits from shadow punch and boxing, 1 hit from Smite. Shadow maul was a waste unless I could line up 3 or more mobs, because everything died so fast! It lasted only a min, but I loved it.
Great bug

Bah, close enough
Exactly as it says in the title i'm wondering how the damage output (not including Fury) compares between the 2 AT's.
