Fire/Empathy Controller build - comments please

I've been playing a controller for a while, and I'm thinking of respecing my build (got hot feet and realized it's a bit useless).

This toon is primarily for duoing with a scrapper, so I don't need great amounts of soloing power.

I've come up with the following; please comment...

Archetype: Controller
Primary Powers - Ranged : Fire Control
Secondary Powers - Support : Empathy

01 : Healing Aura hel(01) hel(3) hel(5) hel(7) hel(15) hel(37)
01 : Char acc(01) recred(3) recred(5) hlddur(7) hlddur(9) hlddur(9)
02 : Heal Other hel(02) hel(11) hel(31) hel(36) hel(43) recred(46)

i have a level 50 fire/kin controller so i will just comment on the fire side, looks good apart from three things;
since issue 5 pets dont go until they die and i find my imps dont die unless fighting avs so do u need 1 let alone 3 recharge reductions on imps?
i found bonfire to be a complete waste of time and is only good for running and cant u just hold enemies attacking u?
lastly although it is an effective power i ditched cinders eventually as with hasten and 2 recharges on flashfire i find it comes back fast enough to use from group to group with better accuracy than cinders although that is ur choice.
hope that helped a little!

One of the guides I found advised 3 recharge reductions on imps, but I guess it was a pre-issue 5 guide. Bonfire is only really in there because there wasn't much left to choose - maybe stealth instead of combat jumping and then phase shift at 49. I'll think about cinders.

Thanks for your comments, they were very helpful.

You're taking clear mind WAY too late, imo. Especially if you're heading to Bloody Bay, as you can have your team spot stalkers easier by buffing them with it.

Imps. Use 2 acc/3 dam and maybe an end cost if you feel like it.

Recharge is not needed any more, since one summon and the psychotic little critters are yours until you zone (into/out of a mission, or between city zones)

Just my £0.02

Warning:

The above post may contain Cynicism, sarcasm and/or pessimism. If you object to the quantities contained, then tough.

Just had another look at your build, and I noticed something. The general rule with ED now is not to put more than 3 of the same Enh type on any one power, but you have 5 or 6 heals on your healing power. According to some calculations people ran, you actually heal for more hp/minute if you have 2 recharges and 4 heals on your powers. Obviously, under ED this isn't possible so I'd reccomend you go 2 rech, 3 heal, 1 edred.

Hot feet useless, i wouldn't really consider so, its a lot more useful now than it was before. With containment it does great damage and will let you take down those mobs much faster.

Also i wouldnt consider fire cages a 6 slotter, with 2 acc and maybe and endurance redux, Its like a perma immobilze power out of the box.

For Char I'd stick 2 acc, 2 hold and 2 recharge, extra accuracy hurt nobody.

Also with the imps im thinking about slotting it with 3 accuracy 3 damage. So that the imps can cut through debuffs (thats really a PvP thing for me)

And for bonfire at level 49, A more useful power would be hover. Will work well with TP. Also no suppresion.

I also have a fire/kin troller.

The things that I have done differently, after mu I6 respec, is

1) Flasfire - 2 accs, 2 disdur and 2 recharges
2) didn't take hasten
3) Went for the leaping power pool to add defense to the toon from combat jumping, 2 slotting super jump (which is crazy, what a jump) and added acrobatics to stop my knockdown-ability (2 slotted with endred)
4) Cinders - 2 acc, 2 hold, 2 recred
5) Fire Imps - only 4 slotted - 1 acc and 3 dmg. I did have them 6 slotted with dmg in I5 because the accuracy is super high anyway so I managed to save 2 slots

I have only got to lvl 44 so I have fireball and fire shield. Will take the fire blast thing (whatever its called) at 47. Dont need comsume ecause I got transference from the kinetics pool.

I sort of agree with what is said about bonfire - BUT - one thing about imps is that they can be a bit, eh.... random. If you find yourself in a position where the imps have agroed an extra mob then you may have more than you can deal with. Bonfire is good for this because it will knockback the enemies and give you some breathing space.

If you haven't started yet I would seriously recommend kinetics instead of empath due to the fact that your major kinetics powers are point blank and so are your pets. This works so well together - but each to their own.

Good luck

Here's another attempt, based on comments received so far...

I'm also guessing that the 6 slots in stamina are now useless, and should only be 3 (or max 4), so those slots could go elsewhere...

Dont use 4 of the same enh, only 3. The last slot gives so few procentages that its a waste.
