1. Heres a few opinions on the storm side.

O2 boost- could use some recharges in there. 3heal 2recharge 1end redux for PvE imo.

Snow Storm- 2end redux is enough, but if you don't have a group immobilze (which isn't the case for you) Slows are definately great to have in there.

Freezing rain- 3recharge 2endurance redux. You want thsi power to be up as often as possible to stack the -res on foes.

Tornado- I really don't like this power in PvE if you don't have an immobilze, the knockback is horrendous and scatters foes, and inevitable reduces the rate of taking down foes in PvE Imho. Its real main use in PvE i find is one AVs. Otherwise i really wouldn't advise taking this power at all. I really hate teaming with stormies who spam this power and scatter all the foes but thats me. PvP however, this power is fantastic. I'd slot this 3damage 2endurance redux 1recharge

Hurricaine, i think this power could use an extra endredux. This power is sort of situational in PvE for me (i'm a controller) i only really use it on my troller for herding and AVs. However on a defender i'd definately make use of this power to group up foes in a corner, I find with this power, if you use a group immobilze, It makes it a lot easier to control hurricaines repel. Key thing for hurricaine is to brush against mobs gently, theres a certain point you'll notice with hurricaine which is a certain distance away from the enemy (furthest edge of hurricaines radius) Which makes it perfect to push foes away. Hard to describe, but when you find it you'll really make use of the power. Try and use this gently and edge them towards the walls/corner, don't run in their all leeroy and push mobs everywhere, try and be clever with it. Hurricaine is a really hard power to explain on how to use, hence why i don't trust many of the stormy guides. Its one you have to test out for yourself.

Thunderclap- 2acc 2disorient 2recharge, People say not to bother with this power. Imo i think you should get it. The disorient will take out minions. Thats damage mitigation and as a storm defender you want to mitigate all the damage you can. Couple this with tenebrous tentacles, wahey you have a minion lockdown power.

Lightening storm- 3damage 2recharge 1 end redux. Don't bother slotting this with accuray its a summon and the base accuracy is 100% so it doesn't need accuracy enhancements at all. Generally feeling about this power, is it will add some damage to your team, It's definately not what it used to be, but its still a really nice and fun power to have. I tend to summon lightening storm at points where i or the tank have herded to (around a doorway or corner) It'll be really useful to use with hurricaine, main thing with lightening storm is to group your enemies up into a tight pack THEN summon lightening storm, if you summon lightening storm them start using hurricaine mobs will be flying everywhere and you'll lose control.

Storm as you'll know is very toggle and endurance heavy, for that reason i don't think you should bother with leadership pool, instead i'd pick up stimulant and aid self. That way you can provide status protection for your team aswell as heal, AND you have a self heal for yourself.

About your power pool selections, i feel stormies should be grounded, if your grounded it makes it much easier to control hurricaine. For this reason i feel hasten and superspeed are the pool powers of choice. I would also definately recommend picking up the leadership pool for acrobatics, as a stormy your sort of playing a tank mage style character that with hurricaine you'll get some aggro, acrobatics will really help you with your stormy. There is nothing more annoying than being perma KBed with hurricaine on. Combat jumping is also very nice to have for the immobilze protection and some increased mobility.

My 2 cents hope that helped, sorry for bad grammar its getting late!

ask the many ppl x-plosive has 2shotted if its pointless

It's horrible...... getting 2shotted with an epic shield on >_>
3. I think filth, on bilharzia is one of the few dominators that i've properly fought against. And i was quite impressed to see how fast he managed to build up domination, so much so my main tactics for dom's is to take them down asap, if you hang around to much against them and domination is built, theres a good chance your going down.
4. I use acrobatics for KB protection. I use break frees for mes protection.

Do you need acrobatics? For casual PvP, no you don't what you do need is break frees. For more hardcore and arena PvP as a squishy acrobatics is a must.

Gratz on taking down a corrupter and an mm.
5. Fire/ice is definately viable in team PvP, could be useful with strategic placing of ice patch. Also the whole fiery embrace +BU will make up for ice's lack in damage i'm sure. In PvP your main job will be a taunt bot. For team PvP i don't think you'll need aid self on top of your self heal, as you'll always have support behind you for team fights. I'd recommend dropping med pool and picking up fighting pool to make you less squishy (tough) you could even pick up fear pool to give you more utility and the extra taunt will definately help.

I wouldn't pick up burn if you went for full PvP spec, but fire/ice is so good in PvE i'd keep it in for the times you do do PvE.
6. range does increase its max firing range, thats for sure. But i find the base range to be enough, as its a stationary pet, the base range is huge for lightening storm. Normally how i use it is to summon to point where a tank or in some cases i herd to.

Spines/SR

Spines/super reflex, is a fantastic scrapper set in PvP and PvE, its much harder to play in PvE in my opinion in comparison to spines/regen which was just a joke to play in PvE. However it is a late bloomer, later on spines/regen and spines/sr become very close to one another, the problem with the build is sticking it out till later levels. eg mid to late 30s when you get a full attack chain, elude and in my case aid self. once you have ripper and aid self it just keeps getting better.

You can pretty much build a spines/sr any way you want, best advice is make sure you get aid self.
8. I own union warburg and more specifically mes, extremus and xanthus :P

noobs!

I'll answer that one, with a sturdy "No". The Defense aspect from CJ isn't worth the slots, and you only really need one Jump enhancement or End Reduction to get the most out of it.

[/ QUOTE ]

Depends really i recommend 3slotting CJ with jump along with 3jump in hurdle, you have a lot of maneuverability with it and much more able to kite and avoid rooting with 3slotted CJ/hurdle. Main thing to do when looking at how many slots CJ needs is the animation times, generaly if the animation times are quite long you'll want more jump heights in combat jumping, so you have more vertical jump. But in this case katana animations are quite fast, so yeah you can get away with only one jump height in CJ.
10. it's autohit in PvE, but it needs an accuracy check in PvP iirc.
11. Spines/super reflexes/body mastery scrapper with aid self, superspeed, fitness and leaping.
12. Basically what plight said.

If you do go sniper blast route i'd slot it 3damage 2interupt, (your going to use it with aim+bu) and take power push, that way if you fight a toon who has no KB protection or have drained a toon of his mes protection toggles you fire off power push that builds up enough time for a snipe, or to fire off thunderstrike. Thats what i used to do on my defender, drain them of end fire off power push then total focus, really useful and i imagine even more so on blasters.

I can't believe what I see..people are almost forcing him to take stealth..where's the challenge..okay its a pain..and can be hard..but playing a troller against a regen/sr scrapper who crits shots you can be hard 2...go up for a challenge..decide if you want stealth or not yourself...I'd stick to the fact that it is NOT needed..its just if you want an easy time..

[/ QUOTE ]

Nobody is forcing him anything, he's asking if its worth taking and people are giving him their opinions. Does stealth help? yeah it sure does especially against people with +perception. Inevitably he'll do better in PvP if he isn't seen, the challenge is still there, stealth doesn't mean he's going to be uber and own everything in the PvP zones. It will however make his life a lot easier. Stealth doesn't equal god mode, nothing does.

Spines is more AoE based, which is why imo it's not so great for Stalkers, but hey, my opinion.

[/ QUOTE ]

spines got a pbaoe and 2 cones both bein very good damage compared to most cones..ninja blade has 2 cones and 1 pbaoe..if people mention ninja blade I never hear people talk about aoe *shrug*

[/ QUOTE ]

Wrong, Ninja blade doesn't have a PbAOE power, it doesn't get lotus drops like katana.

Spines main problem as mentioned in the thread is it starts of very slow, after 26 the spines set really kicks off.

Suprised no one has mentioned impale animation time as a problem with spines, but hey its an uber range attack, so people forget

Oh yeah on another note about spines, apparently its fotm, so if you play it you have no skill its all the spines. /sarcasm
15. Katana and broadsword have the same DPS iirc, broadsword has higher burst damage.
16. Do you run stamina? I have stealth and my 3toggles (hide ff and fs) and my endurance management is fine with stamina. Is stealth useful? definately it really helped me against certain builds, and saved me when large hero teams enter. I survived fine without stealth in sirens call, but PvP game went way up after i got stealth.

You have to stand still in PvP.

Sure, and while you're trying to kill me, I'll three shot your scrapper in Melee. Good times...

[/ QUOTE ]

While i was apparently dualing a dm/invul scrapper in warburg his mate ran in to give him more inspirations. During the match he came out with some awesome lines.

"Stop moving around and fight like a hero"

when his friend ran to give him inspirations, i just laughed, didn't care and kept fighting. He comes out with the best quote ever:

"You jump, i get more insps"

Got him to like 10hp then he ran into safe zone :/
20. Fort Pliz archy

I'd recommend sticking some more ranges on clear mind. I wouldn't bother with aim on an empath it isn't needed at all as none of the primaries require a tohitcheck.
21. What kind of role are you thinking of playing in PvP, a buffbot? Or a hardcore debuffer/blaster? Ice/cold is a very tight build, so curious to hear what role are you thinking of?

Both instances i really would recommend going black scorpion mastery for the web grenade -jump, it's what seriously makes ice/cold/mace one of the most evil builds to fight against.
22. Damn now that took a while now didn't it

Gratz Fella!

for team fire/ trumps ice/
for solo sonic/ trumps ice/

[/ QUOTE ]

Your definately right about fire. Sonic trumps ice? No way. Your missing the key thing here, animation times and rooted animations. Ice totally trumps sonic with animation times. Thats the main problem with sonic, and i've noticed it more and more for upcoming sonic PvPers. Its the animations where they fall. In the time it takes for sonic to fire off 2 attacks ice blast can fire its 3main blasts. Ice definately owns sonic when it comes to solo pvP.
