I'am going to start with a controller, just to test him.
So first i wonder which primary and secondary power is good?
And if there is something you want to tell me, a tips or something, come with it, i'am very new to the game so i appricate every help i can get =)

Choose whichever ones you feel like taking. It's the player, and not the powers, that determines whether you're good or not. A bad player will always be a bad player, power build or no.

Best advice I can give is to watch the whole of a battle when teaming and not just concentrate on 1 mob at a time. Quite often I'll switch from target to target locking down anything giving more squishy team members trouble. also remember that anything held, slept, immobilised or confused can be hit for double dmage weather you held them or someone else.

As for powers it depends what sort of controller you want. For an easy solo life with good teaming possibilities you can go for illusion/radiation or illusion/kinetics. If you prefer to constantly team however some of the other primaries offer a higher level of control. I myself play an illusion/radiation troller with the fire epic and I'm much more of a "Blastroller" and am able to do a good amount of damage.

Yea i want to be a Illusonist but I have a hard time choosing my secondary power :/

Radiation, Storm or Kinetics compliments illusion nicely.

Just come with more tips, because i'am not sure if i will stick to the ill/kin build yet..

I can tell you what is the top builds if your more into min/maxing. The top builds depends on what you want to do with your toon.

1) Leveling speed (solo, cause teams depends on the other players as well) Mind / Rad or Mind / Kin.
2) Control: Ice / Storm
3) PvP: Illusion, Mind / Rad or Storm.
4) Powerleveling others(lvl 42+) fire / kin, rad, storm

But seriously the only advice I can give you is DONT be like the 95% of the trollers out there that cant control anything. When your build starts to mature arround lvl 30+ you should be able to control allmost anything your team meets, this requeres alot of practise and you prolly wont be able to do it before lvl 45-50. You will die alot until you master your build, expect it and dont chicken out and start leeching because your scared of debt.
In the end you will be a force to be reckoned with or just another troller.

50s
controllers: Ill rad , grav rad, fire kin, ice kin
blaster: ice em
scrapper: spines sr

I've found controllers the most fun build to play as well. In fact I think I'll go start another one

Illusonist that's for sure i want to be, because i like that i can controll mobs and put them to sleep and stuff like that ^^
But my secondary is the one i still have trouble choosing, the first controller i maked yesterday was ill/kin and i've just arrvied in atlast park because i din't have much time to play on yesterday.
So i really don't know, of course i want to be a good soloer, good in pvp(but that maybe not so important before i hit 50)and good in groups, and the leveling speed dosen't have to be to quick but not to slow either so its hard...

Illusion/kin is a good all round build and definately not too slow to lvl. You have some holding ability (although not as much as other primaries) but having the kinetics secondary you can increase levelling speeds drastically by boosting speed and damage output. Plus it's great fun

Storm is the least chosen secondary and is an early bloomer in that some of the later powers are underwhelming to say the least (Thunderclap & Torando, why must you suck so much?). Even the tier 9 power, Thunder storm, isn't great.

But Freezing Rain has a great synergy with your pets as it lowers enemy dmg resistance. So Illusion / Storm you can solo pretty handily from level 18 onwards.

Illusion has the fewest traditional holds though. Instead you've got Phantom Army decoys (best power in the set. Scrappers will love you for absorbing the Alpha strike of a mob and hate you for letting them wander off and pick fights with a second mob behind the originals) and Spectral Terror which is pretty good nowadays.

Storm is reckoned to be very strong in PvP thanks to Hurricane. Great Stalker protection, just throw a few -acc enhances in it and you should be unhittable, especially with an invis or 2 up and Steamy Mist.

You become a very good team around lvl 18 with phantom army, which I've opened against ArchVillains and survived.

I started a new illusion controller today with the trick-arrow secondary. So far it's great fun and more than makes up for the lack of illusion control

My main observation on this is that opening with PA is generally a very risk free move - keeping an eye on where all the aggro goes when PA drops (as you are very unlikely to have them perma) is the difficult bit. And opening against a PSI AV with a big initial opening salvo with PA gets you a lot of very happy campers on team. THought I'd already posted this but can't see it now. never mind.

remember, PA is your friend vs psychic clock king / psychic babbage

as for me, I was pretty satisfied with getting my ill/ff controller up to 50. Damage output at lower lvls wasnt that grand but i tended to be a team controller at lower lvls (didnt pick spec wounds till lvl 30 or so lol). Now with ED your damage output is reduced so if you want a decent damage output, you should indeed pick rad or kin as 2ndary. The way I survived with ill/ff was like I said I teamed alot pre-30s. After I got phantasm, I would just bubble him up alot (deflection shield, insulation shield, disp bubble - god how i love thee - ) and let him do most of my work. AFAIK ill/ff is a good team build but not too good in solo especially at lower lvls because you just cant give a very high damage output. The disp bubble however (slotted as much as you can with ED :P), maybe in combination with force bubble at later lvls, can keep you alive pretty well even when aggro is suddenly transferred to you.

"god, how many devs did hami have to sleep with to get ED?"

I have just made a Grav/Storm combo, was that a poor setup?

Aiming to make him a holder so the team i'm with can do there stuff.

Most controller builds need time to mature, I find gravity to be a fun build but a total end hog, It's what I'm using for my dominator in CoV.

I chose ill/kin simply to get a pet at 18, and I really do like my controller, even though I never thought I would. I thought I'd miss playing my blaster but if a gun was put to my head I'd delete my blaster first.

If I was going to re-roll my controller now I'd make him ill/rad. /kin is really good but I love fighting AV's and /rad is king for that .

My tip is to pick a secondary with some debuffs and/or extra control. The Aoe control in your primary tends to take a while to recharge (self-recharge buffs are good also btw: like Kinetics' Siphon Speed or Radiations's Accelerate Metabolism), and the sudden added aggro you often get needs a fast response. Theres no such thing as too much control.

No. Grav/Storm is awesome, and don't let anyone tell you different.

Just a quick tip for the Illusion powerset, for my travel power I decided on Flight, so instead of taking hover at lvl 6 I took air superiority instead. I have found this attack works great as a filler while waiting for spectral wounds to recharge, and when used with Blind for instance it does double damage. It has also saved me many times when a mob gets a bit too close. It also speeded up my soloing ability in the lower levels

Sound advice; I did the same with my controller and only dropped it when I respecced after picking up Phantom Army

Knockdown/back/up is a valuble mehtod of controlling. If you can fit it in or are taking flight as a travel power, Air Superiority is not only a good control tool, but teams up well with Containment to give you a damage boost soloing.
