Quote:I see it now right under the Pain Specialist part. Must not have noticed it when I checked before my last post here. Although there is no mention of the auction house day job icon showing up in Imperial City and underground Imperial on the wiki and indicating there is no progress awarded toward the badge. I have no idea how to edit the wiki. Never done anything like that before. I'm a bit technically challenged. Not strange at all. After syrusbLiz's post verifying that it doesn't award at all after 21 days, I went ahead and fixed it. Then Blondeshell was nice enough to clean up my note and use the bug template.
Remember, *anyone* can edit the wiki. -
Victoria Steampunk jacket also. Seems to happen with large robes and jackets. I hope this can get fixed because I payed for the NPC transformation power and it looks like crap with certain costume pieces on my character.

A red name said the minimum level requirement was a bug in the set and they are working on a fix.
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showp...34&postcount=9
And also that not being placed in the auction is also a bug.

A red name did say the minimum level requirement was a bug and they are working on a fix.

Did you try taking a screen shot with the enhancement storage window open to PROVE they were there but not taken? You can turn on screen shots showing the entire user interface by typing the command '/screenshotui 1'. The feature is reversed when you exit the game or you can just replace the 1 with a 0 to manually turn it off.

Strange. The wiki no longer lists the Midnighter day job badge.
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Night_Ward#Day_Jobs
At the time of my last post it did list it and that's why I pointed it out then.
I wish they would fix the Midnighter's day job in Night Ward and the auction day job in Imperial City. If anything they can just prevent the icons from showing up to avoid confusion.
To quote myself: "I sent in a support ticket back in February regarding the Imperial City auction house bug and it's been that way some time since before February."
Probably a very low priority, almost not even on their to-do list of things to fix I imagine.
Edit: It would be nice to get a red name response as to whether or not this is working as intended. It seems they are completely flat out ignoring the problem all together. -
That is 12 free slots per server for VIP with the possibility of 48 slots total per server.
Free players get 2 character slots total and that's it. You can use them on any server. But, through purchases we premiums can have a total of 36 slots per server because the other 12 are reserved for VIP membership.
Currently I have 30 slots all on 1 server which includes the 2 free slots. I have 27 characters created. I plan to buy the last 6 slots eventually and I do think it would be nice to add more than that on a single server. I don't want to have to run out of slots eventually and have to add characters for new power sets on a different server. I like the server I am on and I will probably lose track of my toons and forget I have some on another server.
Edited for typos.
Edit 2: And please don't tell me "You should go VIP to get those extra 12 slots". I have no interest in being VIP, but I do gladly support the game by buying lots of paragon points. I've been playing since the game went free-to-play and as of today after buying points, I have currently 105 reward tokens earned. (Would be cool to get an account wide badge for having 100 reward tokens)

Quote:Yeah, tell them to type '/r message' to reply. It only replies to the last person to send them a tell so if someone else sent them a tell after you did, you may not get a response. Also, yeah ask them if they can't reply to use the LFG channel and keep an eye on it.I didn't realize that they can reply. I learned something new today. It is most likely that new players don't know that they can either.
I do watch the LFG channel, but sometimes it is hard to see the dialog which is meant for me, some days it is zipping along. And I have noticed, on my server at least, that now most of the free players use only LFG channel, even for topics that ought to be sent via Help, which clutters my chat box.
I think I will amend my invite dialog to include the reply option. Thanks for the help.
There is an option somewhere in game options to turn on individual name colors for the chat window. I keep that on ever since I found out about it. What it does is, every player in the chat channel will have their own color assigned to their character name in the channel automatically. Very useful to keep track of certain people. But, there is a possibility that more than 1 player will have the same color, or 2 player's colors will be similar. As far as I know only players with the option on will see the different colors in their own chat windows. In other words, it is only seen by you and turning the option on won't do anything to anybody else.
That's funny though. I still see people looking for teams in the help channel myself. -
Quote:I think it's far too late for them to make changes to the summer event. Perhaps changes to it next year, if the game is still around. As much as I am really enjoying the event...after getting all teh badges on almost all my toons..there is not quite as much incentive to run it. Other people have also spoken about the limited team size as a factor in how much they do it.
Now I know some people will be going for full sets of the IO, but others..just want the proc. So far, I am getting about 1 in 6-8 runs..not too bad. But when it is ALL I'm after...so my idea is..
In the same manner as iTrials, make a 'Perfect' Event run have a higher chance to get the proc. Or even allow you to pick the specific bit.
One thing you could do is rerun it over and over on a single character and choose the 8 reward merits every time. When you get enough of them you can trade them in at a merit vendor for IO set recipes that go for a lot in the auction. -
The Paragon Market not showing what you have purchased, or only showing what hasn't been purchased has been a complaint for a long time. At least since Ive been playing since the game went free-to-play. I think the reason partially may be because VIP will have to purchase most things if their subscription lapses so it gives them the choice.
One way to tell is to add something to your cart and try to checkout. You should receive an error message saying something about you already having the maximum allowed of an item in the cart, thus preventing you from buying it. Although if you have several items in the cart, it isn't specific as to WHICH item(s) you already have access to, so you need to do it 1 item at a time. -
Quote:Mastermind and Controller ATs are unlocked for free when you max out tier 5 in Paragon Rewards. As for the epic ATs on sale, if you're not VIP then you have no choice but to buy them from the Paragon Market. Just to clarify which ATs you were referring to.On the other hand, depending on when their subscription ends, some of the unlocks may be rendered unneeded because of finishing up specific Tiers.

Another problem with NPC transformation powers: to my understanding they are not suppose to be used with stealth powers. When turning on a stealth power it is suppose to turn off the NPC power. I found out it does when using something like Shadow Fall. But, it CAN be used in conjunction with the Stalker Hide stealth power. This includes all 4 of the new NPC powers and my PPD Hardsuit power I bought from the market when it was available around Halloween. The gun barrels on the arms of the PPD Hardsuit power seem to be mostly visible when Hide is on. (I didn't have the points back then to get the Rikti or Harlequin NPC powers
)

While wearing the Elemental Order robe, the robe will still appear on the character while the Malta Gunslinger NPC Transformation power is active. I had bought all 4 of the NPC transformation powers and it seems to only happen on the Malta Gunslinger. It also seems to be just the robe and sleeves, the shoulders, boots, gloves, etc, don't show.
Edit: another thing I noticed is that your costume aura still shows up while under the effects of the Malta Gunslinger power. New screen shot below to show the Naughty Halo Aura while the Malta Gunslinger power is on, and in the previous screens you can see my aura with the robe clipping. The costume auras showing up also seem to only happen with the Malta Gunslinger power.
Edit: Halo Aura showing

Quote:http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Summer_B...2#Event_BadgesI've yet to achieve a score higher than a B on the Casino Heist on any run on any toon I've done it with. What do you get if you score an A?
There are 4 badges, 1 for each role in the heist. Perfect grifter, hitter, thief, and hacker. Once you have all 4 of these badges you get an accolade called Roleplayer. When you get the accolade you are granted 5 reward merits.
You can go check each badge on the wiki and it explains how to do each role to get a perfect score. -
Quote:Well I meant for regular task forces and trials I don't que for. I always que for the holiday trials because I can usually get in fast.I love the Team Up Teleporter personally. Last night I decided to give it a shot. I logged on with a character I wanted to run the Summer Blockbuster Event with, joined the Queue and went to my SG base to do some inventing. A couple of minutes later the prompt to join and event popped up and I went and ran the missions. I did not have to worry about zoning and joining a team, we had both hero and villain on our team, it was an all around more convenient experience. I do not understand why everyone does not do this.
Edit: I was able to do the summer event trial via the LFG teleporter on my PraetoriansSo nice they included us non-hero/villains in the event.

Ummm......there is already a discussion in the suggestions forum similar to this. http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=292173

Quote:You answered your own question. Hand clap does no damage and it makes no sense to have a universal damage set in it.
Why oh why can't hand clap take universal damage?
I know it doesn't actually do damage,...
The damage aspect of an enhancement 'enhances' damage, it does not 'add' damage to the power. So a power has to do damage before you can increase the damage. And a universal damage set is meant to be used only in powers that do damage. -

Quote:If you can dodge a wrench.....Well back in my day we had to cobble together our own powersets from old shoelaces, bedsprings, chewing gum and empty soda bottles while the devs chucked throwing stars and super sharp pencils at us to keep us on our toes- so count yer blessings!

Personally I don't use the team-up teleporter. I prefer joining a team for something in particular if I happen to be in the right zone or monitoring the chat channels.
When all the task forces and stuff was added to it (such as Positron part 1 and 2, Terra Volta respec trials, etc.) I qued for 1, don't remember which, and about 2 hours later I was in Atlas and decided to join a DFB team. I couldn't join the team because I was still qued for a trial and I had completely forgot about it.
People prefer to form teams first and then que and usually they form full teams of the max amount of players so using the LFG to join something doesn't really work out well. Heck, it's even hard to enter DFB, even choosing to join an in-progress trial, unless you join a team first.
Disclaimer: Just my observations and personal experience. Your experience may differ. -
Quote:As a premium player I had to buy all of the epic archetypes to unlock them. Don't remember ever seeing a message on screen that I unlocked them. It was months ago though lol.i think the lvl 20 to unlock still exists for all users, VIP or otherwise, but if you dont have AT access through buying or being VIP then the epic AT unlock message is meaningless
I believe how it works is for VIP only. Get any character to level 20 and you have access to the epic ATs without having to purchase the unlock from the shop.
For premiums, you may need to have a single character at least level 20 before you can create an epic AT even after purchasing it from the paragon market. Not sure on that. In my case I had already leveled a few characters beyond 20 but deleted some of them, and had at least 1 level 20 I didn't delete when I purchased my first AT, the Peacebringer.
All in all, it's not hard or too time consuming to get to level 20. Just spend a couple hours or so doing DFB.
Edit: I vaguely recall seeing a message on my screen that I unlocked epic ATs and asking in the help channel what that was about. That was a little while before I bought the first of the 4 ATs but still had no access to any of them until I purchased them. -
Quote:If you join the trial with a team that hasn't started it yet, then yes you do have to do both parts to get the reward table. What you are talking about is joining the event already in progress with 1 part complete and you are able to still choose the enhancement reward.Wrong. The very first time I ran it I was put with a team that had already done the heist portion. I was the 5th man in the gladiator match. I still got the reward table at the end.
So having to do both parts is technically correct since it was meant to be that way. They probably decided to allow all players to still be able to claim a reward if they joined an in-progress event in the case where players quit the team or disconnect and never return.
Edit: You have to take into consideration that a lot of players, like myself, don't click the option in the LFG window to join in-progress trials. So if you don't choose that option, you DO have to complete both parts of the trial for the reward table to appear. I like the trail and its nice to get as much XP and inf I can as well as I'm working on getting all 10 badges on all characters I can possibly do the trial on at this time. -
Quote:#1 Yes you do need a team for the Gladiator portion of the event. Unless you think you can solo an archvillain plus 2-3 elite bosses at the same time when depending on your AT and powersets and the fact you are exemplared to level 29, you can get killed in 1 hit.Greetings!
I hope everyone is having a fine weekend. I'm interested in trying to get the Overwhelming Force Set through the Summer Blockbuster Event, and have some questions. Unfortunately, the PW page on this is still somewhat undeveloped.
Some questions:
- Obviously, you need a team for the casino heist. Do you need one for the gladiator portion?
- Do you have to run them in a specific order? Both consecutively? Or can you run one (e.g.: the heist) at one time and come back later and run the other (e.g.: the gladiator part)?
- How do the rewards work? Do you have to run one event to get an Overwhelming Force enhancement? Both? To get them all do you have to run the whole event over and over/trade with others?
- About how long does it take to finish the Summer Event once you start?
Thank you for your help.
#4 When your team enters the trial, which part you do first is picked automatically at random. You could end up doing the heist first 3 times in a row, then gladiator a couple times, then heist, then gladiator 4 times, etc.
#3 You can only claim 1 overwhelming force enhancement per character per 20 hours. The reward merits an inspiration can be claimed as many times as you want in a day on a single character, so feasibly you could farm this for merits if you wanted.
#4 Depending on what type of team you end up with, it can take about 25 minutes to 45 minutes. The first time in the heist when you go back to your hideout and face the first AV, she is one tough cookie. It can take as much as 5 or even 10 minutes just to defeat that AV and I was on a team the other day where it was taking so long to beat her, 1 of my team members quit, although I was on my dominator and we had 2 controllers and the 4th I don't remember but it wasn't any kind of melee. Blaster I think.
Edit: Forgot to mention, which overwhelming force piece of the set you receive is random and sometimes you can get the same exact piece on a few characters in a row. As they say: Random is random. -
I ran the trial on a few characters today and so far, no bug. Now the only problem I have with TP is when I'm sitting on the john and notice it's empty and I forgot to put a spare roll on the shelf above the john within reach.
